Nestled in a charming private community and just a short stroll to both the beach and town center, Windhaven Cottage is ideally located in the beautiful seaside village of Ogunquit, Maine.

Once you arrive, park your car and leave your worries (and car keys) behind! The home’s location means there is no need to fight traffic or look for parking during your stay. Walk to the shops and restaurants in the town center in 7 minutes, or walk to the beautiful beach in only 10 minutes. You can also travel around town on the Ogunquit trolley, with a stop conveniently located just outside the entrance of the home’s private community.

Situated at the end of a quaint street and backing up to a wooded landscape, Windhaven Cottage offers a private retreat for you and your guests. With hardwood floors and well-appointed furnishings, you will feel right at home the moment you step inside. This property has 5 bedrooms (+ den with sofa bed) and 4 full bathrooms. With more than 3,000 square feet of living space, up to 12 guests can spread out comfortably. The fully stocked chef's kitchen includes a large island with stools for gathering, and the living room is the perfect place to relax with its serene wooded views. There is also a separate dining room, den, and a 2nd living room on the lower level with large sectional sofa and big screen TV.

Amenities include free Wi-Fi, cable TV with Netflix access, a movie library, games, children’s toys, and books to enjoy while relaxing inside the home. Outside you will find a patio and yard area with lounge chairs, dining table, and a Weber gas grill. The home also includes a beach cart, beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and toys (boogie boards, etc.) for your trips to the beach. You will not find a more perfectly located and appointed home for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation.

Beautiful home close to town!

This house was perfect for a girl's weekend! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. It's really in the perfect location! Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Quick walk into town. Would love to stay here again!

Great house in perfect location!

Windhaven Cottage was perfect for our holiday weekend family visit. Our kids and grandkids shared the four upstairs bedrooms and my husband and I used the basement room, which was quiet and very comfortable. We rented sheets and bath towels as suggested, which worked out beautifully. The basement living room worked well as a 2nd spot for kids to play. Nice selection of toys and beach equipment for guest use. And the location is amazing! In a quiet area with private homes about a 5 minute walk to town. We ordered take out every night and just walked to town to pick it up. It's a little over a mile to Marginal Way where we walked every day. Stunning. Highly recommend and we look forward to booking the same house for a return visit!

Gorgeous Property, Kind Hosts

This property was super convenient, absolutely beautiful and spacious for our group of 9. It had every amenity that you could think of. Doug and Kevin were so kind and left a gift for us when we checked in! They were always a phone call away if we needed anything (although unnecessary because there was nothing left to be desired) you’d be silly not to stay!

Another great stay!

This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. This home is the ideal size for a larger family. Large, well-stocked kitchen and comfortable living areas. Nicely decorated. Walkable to town and beach. We will be back!

Amazing stay!

We loved our stay. The house is very beautiful, even better than on the pictures and also perfect for a big group. It is well equipped, although we would have loved to have access to more household cleaning products. We had great communication with the owners and even received a beautiful welcome gift (thank you!!). We would stay there again without any hesitation. Again, thank you! Great for Family Vacation!

This property was a wonderful option for our four generation family vacation! The location was walkable to many great shops, restaurants and the beach. It was also convenient to drive to many other beautiful areas of Maine! The house itself had plenty of space for all of us to spread out and a good gathering area to spend time together as well. Communication with the owners was very easy. Overall a great vacation!

Perfect family House

We enjoyed every minute of our four nights at this home. The house is well appointed and immaculate. Super comfy beds, great kitchen, and spacious family room to hang out. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach from the very quiet cul-de-sac. Would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful beach getaway

Our entire party (multigenerational family) thoroughly enjoyed this property. The house was perfectly situated, located on a quiet neighborhood street, easy walking distance to downtown and the beach. The property was spacious, clean, well-equipped, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Would highly recommend. We’ve already rebooked for next summer!

Family vacation

Another fantastic week in Ogunquit! This house was perfect for our family with room for everyone to spread out. Kids enjoyed playing downstairs while adults could relax in the living room. We had fun cooking dinners together in a well equipped kitchen. Great location to walk everywhere! We’re planning to come back next year!

Great stay!

We were so happy with our stay, would 100% recommend and stay again. Everything was clean, kitchen was fully equipped, beach gear was all provided so less to pack. Doug and Kevin were great, they were responsive and handled a small issue with the bathroom faucet that was repaired quickly. The only negative comment is that you have to bring your own sheets and towels, otherwise you can rent. We loved our stay and couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Charming home in great location

We had a group of friends celebrating a birthday and none of us had been to Maine before. This home and the quaint town of Ogunquit was the perfect introduction to what Maine has to offer. We could easily walk to downtown Ogunquit and the beach. The house had plenty of room for us to stretch out with two separate living rooms and a well-stocked kitchen. And, as a bonus, the home was so well decorated. Overall, a great experience and we'd come back if we head to Maine again.

Beautiful Home and Town

We booked this house for a multi-generational family vacation. It was perfect for our group of 11! We had grandparents, middle aged adults, and kids 4 to 13. Everyone loved the house! The owners of the house went above and beyond with communication and a sweet welcome gift. There were instructions placed throughout the house with directions and how to's (like how to run the coffee pot). The house had umbrellas, beach equipment, toys, and a perfectly stocked kitchen for cooking in. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved the large dining room tables and comfy couched and beds. It is also worth noting that you do have to rent linens but it was easy and the owners provide a company for this. The linens were on the front porch when we arrived. When we booked we were not familiar with Ogunquit, we lucked out big time with this town and house. The cutest shops, restaurants, and beaches. The proximity to town / beach was wonderful. We had a great family vacation and would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home and location!

We loved our visit to Ogunquit and this property made it perfect! It was clean, comfortable, and the ideal location for walking to town. The owners had so many recommendations for dining and activities that we enjoyed. In addition, they were easily contacted for any concerns and responded in a timely manner. Girls' Getaway

Close to Ogunquit town. Easy walk. Very comfortable for our group of 5 women. Excellent kitchen and living space for us to enjoy our visit together. Great instruction book. Impeccably clean and well stocked. Renters should be aware of large number of stairs up to the front door which may be a challenge for anyone with an impairment.

Great 40th anniversary trip!

We booked Windhaven last summer after just returning from another week long stay in Wells and I am so happy we did! The space was great for 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Every couple and the kids had their own room to sleep in - the 4 full bathrooms were an added bonus! We’ve been coming to Ogunquit since I can remember and I am sure the next time we will consider this house again. It’s only a quick walk to down and the communication with the hosts was great! Thanks for a great trip!

Friend gathering

A great place for a group of high school friends to spend time together. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed breakfast gathered around the table. The living room allowed us to share our days adventure. Everything was very clean. We needed to contact the owners and they responded very quickly. We enjoyed our stay.

Dream Home in Coastal Ogunquit Maine

What a beautifully decorated home! Every room is exactly as pictured, very clean with all the amenities you could want. Everyone had their own bedroom. Property is in a quiet, cul-de-sac with a private back patio for outdoor relaxation. About 1 1/2 hrs from Boston Logan airport and centrally located between Boston and Portland ME, with all the quaint coastal towns in between. Kevin & Doug are wonderful hosts and communication was easy. Would definitely stay here again, you will absolutely love this home!

Beautiful house in a great location! The house easily accommodated our group of 12 and had every amenity we could ask for (even a stroller, pack and play, and other toddler items). The owners left us beautiful flowers and a welcome gift, which was a very thoughtful touch. We easily walked into town and to the beach. We’re Doug and Kevin, and we’re the owners of Windhaven Cottage. We currently reside in Boston, MA, but we enjoy traveling and exploring new places whenever possible. Many years ago, in our travels around New England, we stumbled upon Ogunquit and immediately fell in love with the charming village and beautiful beaches. We were also intrigued to learn that we could escape from the city to an amazing seaside village in less than 1.5 hours. After vacationing in Ogunquit for several years and spending countless weekends exploring the Marginal Way, singing along at the Front Porch piano bar, and relaxing on the sand, we finally decided we wanted a home there to call our own.

Windhaven Cottage is more than just a vacation rental. It’s our second home, and we enjoy spending as much time there as possible. As a result, the property is well-loved and feels like home, which we believe will be evident during your stay. We hope you love it as much as we do!
