A home away from home

The VRBO booking and payment process was a breeze. The Whaler is a fantastic complex in the center of Kaanapali Beach. Our unit was clean and spacious. We had a problem with the refrigerator but it was taken care of very promptly. The WiFi signal was weak and did not reach the master bedroom. Perhaps a WiFi extender in the master bedroom will solve this issue. There was an appropriate amount of plates, cups, glasses and basic cookware. Would have been nice to have some covered food storage containers with lids. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to this beautiful island.

A home away from home

The Whaler is a fantastic complex in the center of Kaanapali Beach. Unit 523 was clean and spacious. We had a problem with the refrigerator but it was taken care of very promptly. Great location!

Perfect location on the beach and close to restaurants and shops. With little kids, it was super convenient to have a washer and dryer in the unit. Overall a very comfortable stay.

The perfect getaway

First of all checking in was a breeze my party was happy to have the beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains view and the courtyard sunset we’re beautiful from our condo Here are some suggestions we use what was available. I’m giving you some suggestions of what you need to add Not enough chairs at the dining room table to accommodate eight even though we only had six in the condo we only had for chairs for the dining room table Wine Glasses & Coffee Mugs for 8 People and plastic cups for use on lanai for a party of eight would be good The frying pans need to be updated not so used can be a health issue Extra blankets would be nice also there was two blow dryers and only one worked Overall, we love the place just needs to be updated. We are looking to definitely come back and stay. Next year

This property was perfect for our family of 6. It was in a perfect location on Ka”anapali beach. The property had amazing views of the sunrise, sunset, the ocean and the mountains. The property came with everything we needed to cook and for a day on the beach.

Better than expected view, updated furnishings, great location on the beach

We loved both the green mountain view and the ocean view off the wrap around lanai. Unit had updated furnishings and functional full kitchen. We enjoyed the pickle ball courts and being right on the beach. Beautiful grounds and great unit.

The condo is even better than the listing says. You are right at the resort in a prime location, in the middle of the beach. This area had a nice breeze. The condo is BIG and clean. Has chairs, umbrella, boogie board too! We arrived late and check in is 24/7. There is a security guard to let you in to parking lot- he had our name and check in was seamless. After a LONG travel day, this was amazing!

Perfect Place

Our beautiful condo included a view of the beach as well as a view of the mountains. It was perfect for two couples or a family! We could have used a few more towels and washcloths so we didn’t have to wash every day, but otherwise, it was perfect!

Wonderful vacation at The Whaler, Kaanapali!

The Whaler at Kaanapali is a beautiful, well maintained, centrally located condominium complex. Our unit was exactly as advertised in the photos. Very clean, well stocked, and friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend The Whaler, and we will definitely be back. Mahalo!!

The perfect condo for a family trip to Maui

The space is very comfortable and well thought out. The balcony looping around the entirety of the unit was our favorite. Even with some rain we were able to sit outside and enjoy both the view of the mountains and the beach. it felt very safe. You had everything you might need even if you didn't feel like getting in the car, with Whaler's Village a short walking distance around the corner. The Xplorie partnership is incredible. We really enjoyed booking our excursions through them!

Wonderful trip!

Very clean. View is spectacular. Pool is great for adults but not really for children. I would rent this property again. If you plan to cook meals you’ll need to buy spices, oil etc. only stocked with salt/pepper packets.

Location and good for big families!!

The condo is in a great location right next to Whalers village (shopping and plenty of food selections) which is great since I travel with teenagers that are always looking for something to do. It was very nice to have all the necessities at our disposal ( kitchen, towels, everything you need for a long stay). They provide washer and dryer which was great! Some cons: the restrooms don’t have a lock so you have to announce that you are going to the restroom! The toilet handle feels like it’s going to fall off any day if not replaced. The queen beds in the 2nd bedroom are not comfortable. The curtains are dirty and falling apart in the living room so be careful when closing them. Lastly, the dining table outside is a bit of a hazard so be careful when stepping down because the chairs wobble! Overall, the pros outweigh the cons because of the location of the condo!

Most beautiful place!

This was an amazing location and the pictures don’t do the property justice. We had everything we needed including 2 sets of snorkels! We can’t wait to come back to this property!!

Lovely, spacious unit for two couples

We were very pleased with this unit. Views from the 5th floor lanais gorgeous. Nicely furnished, upscale kitchen, laundry and plenty of storage space are a few of the things we appreciated. The property is well maintained. For our short stay, being next to Whalers Village was a huge factor in choosing to stay here, we just we had been able to stay longer. The staff was beyond amazing and patient helping us with all of the technology involved with COVID-19 protocols that we has to deal with as we were traveling to another island.

Great Location, not so great other things

The property location is great, can’t get any better than that, it was also very clean and the staff were pleasant. The issues I had were with the unit itself. From day one the internet didn’t work, they kept on sending people to fix it but all failed. There was a TV but no service, so the TV didn’t work either, they had about 5 VHS tapes of old movies. The cook top didn’t work, I called the front desk about it and they said I had to call Maui Rentals to get it fixed, I called them but no one got back to us. The couch had a huge nasty stain on it. Upon check out, we were charged another $115 for resort fee, something that was not disclosed to us when we made the reservation and when we checked in, only at the last minutes they did that. So to recap, No Internet, No TV, No Cooktop so useless kitchen, dirty couch, extra fee.
