About this property

Newly renovated 1970's house. Dog/kid friendly.

Our newly renovated, 3 bedroom, 1970's beachside home is very comfortable.. It has a retro feel along with all the mod cons.. Located in a small beach community with great cafe's and the beautiful quiet Mudjimba beach only 200 metres walk away.. Dog friendly with a fully fenced yard and kid friendly with toys etc included.. Great for a quick weekend to relax or perfect for a good long family holiday..

The space
Our newly renovated, 3 bedroom beachside home is very sweet, has an 1970's retro style along with all the mod cons. A lovely pergola deck which lines one side of the house is great for morning breakfast or a laid back lunch. First bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two single beds. There is a bathroom with a walk in shower and double basin sink, and a separate toilet. Spacious kitchen contains gas cook top, oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Laundry contains a washing machine with a large clothesline outside. House is south facing so the morning sun shines through the living room which keeps it warm in winter. Native gardens surround the house with banana, pawpaw and passionfruit trees growing wild - lovely garden to walk around and listen to the birds singing each day. Located in a small beach community with great local cafe's, takeaway and shops walk away. Beautiful quiet Mudjimba beach only a 200metre walk from the house. Marcoola is a 10 min drive from Sunshine Coast airport, 25min drive from Noosa, 15min drive from Maroochydore, 1hr drive from Brisbane.

Birthday getaway

This was a beautiful little getaway for my partner and I with our two dogs. Property was amazing with everything we needed. So close to the beach for morning and afternoon walks. Very happy with this booking

A relaxing getaway

We loved our stay at Wallum house. The house was inviting and calming. The pantry was generously well stocked. The host had provided everything we needed to get going including a dog bed and treats for our pooch. We are planning our return later this year :-)

Beach life

A beautiful little beach shack with a tasteful renovation. We loved that you could walk to the beach and were only minutes to cafes. The owners were great communicators. We will be telling all our family and friends about this property.

Perfect for the family

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, great location, beautifully appointed/designer interior, well setup for the stay! With just enough essential items that we forgot to pack! Great proximity to the beach and river boat ramp, There was some plane noise being close to the airport but the noise was infrequent and stopped at night

Amazing stay so close to the beach

COMFY AND SHORT STROLL TO BEACH

Great beach house, very comfortable, some vintage touches give it a bit of character. Quiet close to beach, but road to cross can be busy at times. Landlady very helpful.

Fantastic property, great location, pet friendly

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this gorgeous beach house. We loved the Reno and the thought into the decore throughout the property. We were also able to have our fur baby’s stay with us and the property was nice and secure for them. The location was excellent as it’s a block from the beach and close to where we were attending a wedding. Would definitely stay again.

Marcoola getaway

The property was beautifully presented and equipped with lots of extras that you wouldn’t expect. The gardens, though lush and provided good screening from neighbours, was a bit overgrown. The house is under the flight path from the airport and can be noisy. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Large place

This place is amazing although you should bear in mind that it’s right next to the airport and if you intend to sleep-in as well as a light sleeper, it may cause issues. Overall, great facilities although I wish they cut the trees back along the driveway so it’s more visible during the night and wider cars don’t have to worry as much with branches scratching the paint in and out. Also, few spiders in the closets. Overall, good place.

A relaxing stay

Our stay at ‘Wallum’ was perfect. The house has been beautifully renovated and includes some stylish and homely touches. We had absolutely everything we needed. It was a short 5-10min walk to the beach and good coffee. We were able to bring our little dog too which meant the whole family enjoyed the stay. The house is surrounded by beautiful wild gardens so it felt quite private and secluded. Despite some wild weather, which forced us inside for a few days, we had a really relaxing stay. Thanks for having us!

Unique Holiday Home

We loved our stay at Wallum! From the moment we walked in to find a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us, we were so impressed, not to mention all the other extras in pantry and fridge. The house had everything you could possibly need, close to shops and beach and we loved the surrounding native gardens. It all made for a very relaxing holiday. Thank you Jodi for your generosity.

Beautiful and Relaxing Place to Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful, very modern, comfortable and clean. Lots of considerate extras to make life easy i.e. hand made soaps, condiments, dog biscuits, a bottle of milk, butter, snacks etc. There were also bikes and body boards in the shed. The design of the home makes for a relaxing stay with kids and a dog i.e. concrete floors throughout and big fully fenced yard. Great location, easy walk to shops at Marcoola and Mudjimba. Easy walk across to the beach each day. Super easy and pleasant contact free check in.

Wonderful Wallum

We had a lovely time. We were very impressed with the property which has been lovingly renovated. The decor is homely and tasteful. The beds are comfortable and it is a pleasure to prepare meals in the well stocked kitchen. The owner was very accommodating and easy to deal with. We would highly recommend this property to others.

Hi, We are a married couple with three small children (4, 7 and 10) who love to travel and experience this gorgeous world we live in. We own a successful plumbing business and also run a furniture restoration business on the side. Our passion is renovating which has come to life over the last few months with the new extension to our beachside home as well as newly renovating our 1970's beach shack.
