The Zoo House is less than 2 miles from the NC Zoo! It’s a short walk to the new Zoo City Sportsplex, a 10 minute drive to downtown Asheboro, restaurants, shops, theaters, bowling, & miniature golf. Seagrove Pottery area is a 15 minute drive and the Petty Museum is 20 minutes away. Relax at our comfortably furnished home. 200 mbps WiFi , hi-def smart TVs with Netflix in the living room and main bedroom, linens, stocked kitchen, back deck, grill & picnic table.

Clean and convenient to Seagrove potteries

We were in town for the Potter's Conference. This house was nicely decorated, convenient, well stocked, and clean. We'll definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

We only stayed one night on our drive to Disney. The goal was to take our little one to the zoo and exhaust her before the next long drive. This house was close to everything we needed- Walmart, Dunkin, and the zoo! The house was clean and offered everything we needed! I would love to come back for a longer stay!

Convenient and Comfortable

The Zoo House is very convenient to everything around Asheboro. It was wonderful just having a few minute ride to get to the house after walking 6 miles through the zoo. The tub to soak in was just what I needed. This is an older home but is quite comfortable and provided everything we needed.

Quiet and relaxing

We took the grandkids to the zoo and had a blast. The Property was as listed…clean, spacious and comfortable. The only thing I suggest is plug in air fresheners because it had that old musty smell but, other than that It was excellent! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Great property and a great location.

We were in town for a soccer tournament at Zoo City sports complex. It was great that we were able to walk to the fields. The house comfortably slept our family of five.

Perfect!

Wonderful

We enjoyed our stay at the zoo house. Everything was very clean. The fresh milk, half and half, eggs and bread were really appreciated. The NC Zoo was super close as were several restaurants. We ate at the Flying Pig and visited Four Saints Brewery during our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the zoo!

Location Location Location

This is our second stay at the zoo house and it was just as great as the first time. This house is immaculately clean and well stocked. They even included a few grocery items as well toiletries. The location could not be more perfect!! 5 minutes from the NC Zoo and maybe 10-15 minutes from downtown Asheboro.

We are Bryan and Karen, married 40 years, with two grown sons. We’ve raised our family in neighboring Davidson County. Southern by choice, we moved to the area almost 30 years ago from upstate NY. We have extensive experience in public service and remodeling, and have enjoyed remodeling and preparing The Zoo House. We are so excited to have the opportunity to host guests!

It is just two miles from the zoo, and 15 minutes to Seagrove. Downtown Asheboro is just a 10 minute drive, where there are a variety of restaurants, antique shops, and stores.
