The 1865, a Civil War-era development, which includes a once-utilized Tobacco Auction house, has now been reimagined into a truly uncommon condominium building. Each of the units in this new construction addition is strikingly unique with an all-brick structure exterior alongside a railroad track where freight trains slowly come in and out of the city center. We are in a no blow zone - which makes it illegal for the conductor to sound the horn UNLESS there is imminent danger actually on the track.

Better than a hotel

For an extended stay and visit with family in the area, Tobacco 212 was just what we needed. It was much better than a hotel room. It provided a private bedroom, full kitchen and nice space to sit and visit. And the central location was perfect for everywhere we needed to go. Thx for accommodating us so well!

Relaxing Nashville

This was our first time staying in Nashville so we didnt know what to expect. Tobacco 212 was a perfect spot to come back to and relax or make something to eat before going out. The music at the bar was amazing! Only downfall was the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

Very clean with nice amenities. I appreciated the gated entrance and the stocked items in the kitchen for paper towels, soap, laundry detergent. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect

My wife and I were going on our honeymoon and wanted a place close to downtown but something that gave us privacy and felt like home. Boy did it. The 1865 was a wonderful place to stay and when we go back Nashville will definitely stay there again.

The place was nice. Had everything we needed. Location was great. Train didnt bother us at all. Nice bar area by the pool with a refrigerator to keep your beverages cold. Would definitely stay again.

1st time / Great time in Nashville

This was the first time ever vacationing in Nashville. We had an absolute wonderful time! We were a little disappointed that we were booked into the newly built building as opposed to the original 1865, Tobacco auction building. Also, may be my fault, but I did not read that there were train tracks 40 feet from the building. This, however, was not a problem! They are going very slow, and unless they blow the horn, which is very infrequent, you can barely hear the train through the walls. We had one – two blows of the horn each night, but fell right back to sleep. It was actually kind of historically charming. We would absolutely stay here again! Very clean and very nice!

beautiful place - everything brand new!

literally, the only thing i wish i had known before was what type of coffee maker was there so i could've brought some with us. also since the icemaker isn't hooked up i wish there had been some ice trays. otherwise, it was amazing. appreciated the sleep sound machine... we brought ours too, and with both turned on we never heard train or other bldg residents.

The gates to enter were broken open for a day or two. And anybody could of pulled into the private parking. Other then that was a great stay.

Great property. It was an easy & short trip into downtown. The property had everything we needed with a little more than we expected. I thought the gym was super cool & loved the train coming by, ( maybe once in a day..I love trains & this was a feature that drew me to this property). The area was very quiet & restful after returning from downtown...just what we wanted!

Weekend getaway

Great property. Short, cheap Uber ride to Broadway. Property was very cool. Trains were not a problem with keeping us up. We were warned not to venture out off of the property on foot after dark but we felt safe and secure while on the property. Would definitely stay here again.

Bachelorette trip

This property is great location for a getaway to Nashville, very close so Uber only cost $7-$12 to go downtown. The property looked just as it was shown on the listing and very clean. The top floor patio was a nice place to relax and enjoy the cool afternoons we had. We had a blast and will definitely visit again when we come back!

Had a great time!

Not wanting to stay downtown, we selected this property for its layout and charming appeal. It didn't disappoint! It was perfect for my husband and I, including the ability to entertain. The only thing we did different than originally planned, was halfway through our trip, we rented a car. We tried Uber, scooters and walking but the cost for Uber and the scooters was prohibitive for the two of us, walking downtown was a bit too far, and not having a car didn't allow us to travel outside the area with any type of freedom or more expensive fair (going over to Opryland was about $60 round trip for Saturday night, over holiday weekend).

Great place with BAD bedding

The unit was nice and clean. We were warned not to walk outside of the gate at night. The worst part was that both mattresses were severely dipped in the middle. The host tried to help by bringing mattress toppers, but it didn’t work. We ended up sleeping on the floor. We also did not have enough blankets. An additional one was also dropped off, but we needed more as we had to sleep in different spaces to fit on the floors. If they change the beds, we would be back!

This place n location is great if you wanna get away from the craziness….the only thing that isn’t a five star is the pool.. great if you just wanna get wet but, doesn’t get any sun because of the building on one side and overhanging trees on the other….. overall a great place to stay and easy to Uber in and out of…

Great place for 2 people, wouldn't advise having guests.

Condo was great inside. Had guests for 3 nights and couldn't sleep due to uncomfortable pull out. So one slept on floor and 1 took the couch. Other guests left mess in entryway that we finally took out after 3 days along with our garbage. As I said ,we would stay again if it was just 2 of us. Unit next to us had different guests entire time and they sure liked to party, but that's to be expected. We had a few nights like that as well. No worries. But overall really good place to stay if you don't want to be in the busy area

Wanted to love it, but unfortunate experience with the train.

I’ll start with the good. Kevin is fabulous to work with and would definitely stay with him again at a different location. Communication was excellent and he is super friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. The property is new. Cool vibe. Cool features. Convenient location. Gated parking and security. Plenty of space. Nice kitchen features and we had everything we needed. Unfortunately the good didn’t outweigh the train noise for our family. While we were there the train ran most of the night. We wore headphones and turned on white noise but it still woke us up. I would say this is a great place to stay for a bachelor/bachelorette group or a group that plans to stay up most of the night (like our neighbors did). Most neighbors were quite but we were there over St Pattys day so we expected some loudness from groups. During our stay the train didn’t run during the day and only ran at night. My kids are DEEP sleepers and it woke them both up every time. This unit is one of the closer ones to the tracks so other units might be better with train noise situation.

Great Get Away Weekend

The condo was very comfortable. We had everything that we needed for a weekend stay. The train was not obtrusive at all. It passed a number of times during our three day stay and most were very quiet. I can only remember it being loud once and that was at 4:00 in the afternoon, never in the evening or over night. The location is a bit remote and there isn't much in the way of restaurants or essentials like drug store or grocery stores within walking distance but it is a very quick and easy Uber or Lyft ride downtown which is exactly what we were looking for!
