Modern yet rustic knotty pine and stone cabin with gourmet kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths sleeps up to 10. Peaceful and private woodland setting. Relax on the deck high up in the trees overlooking Tom's Creek and the 14th fairway. Gather with friends and family around a cozy fire on a chilly night. Located on Liberty Mountain less than 1 mile from the Resort and skiing/golf; 20 minutes to Gettysburg and central to many wineries, breweries, etc. Walk to Liberty Mountain Resort!!

Note: While families with small children are welcome, this property is not toddler proof (no cabinet latches, outlet covers, etc.).

Warning! The driveway is to this property is steep. There is room for 2 cars at the top of the driveway (no room to turn around) and additional space for 4 more cars at the bottom of the driveway.

On the Ledge

We enjoyed the sylvan setting and the weather was spectacular during our stay. We were a bit disappointed with the “cleanliness “. The were a few dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. Our adult daughter slept in the basement and there were dead bugs on the basement floor that we vacuumed. We felt like maybe the house had been cleaned at the end of ski season and nobody gave it the once over before we arrived. The master bedroom ceiling fan was inoperable and the gas grill should be replaced. Heck for price of one day’s rent you could have a beautiful Blackstone or Weber. The grill is on its lady legs!

Perfect small group getaway!

A few families from our travel soccer team stayed together at the Ledge while in town for a soccer tournament and some sightseeing. The Ledge proved a great stay for our family and friends and we’d recommend it to anyone. Everything was clean, comfortable, and easy to use/find.

NFF Weekend Stay

We didn’t get to spend a lot of time at the house, but my family was impressed with the room and number of beds The driveway is a doozy 😬. The weather didn’t cooperate but it would have been fun to take advantage of the outdoor spaces. Thank you for the stay!

The cabin was absolutely perfect. The fireplace was large enough to heat the entire first floor, the kitchen was updated beautifully as well as the living spaces. I also loved the location which was isolated from other cabins and high up on the mountain. In would give this cabin an A+!

Relaxing Mountain Getaway

A friend’s daughter performed this weekend at Gettysburg College. We were a group of childhood friends and absolutely loved your house. There was plenty of space and it was very clean and comfortable. My friend was the first to arrive and almost cried when she saw the Christmas tree. What a nice touch! We already talked about “next time”!

Wonderfulness

I haven't slept that well in a LONG time. I love the atmosphere and the beauty of the woods. The kitchen was well stocked. There were some areas that could have been cleaned a bit better, but overall, it was an incredible place. I would absolutely recommend this place. The owners were very responsive to communication. Excellent!

Golf Outing

The Ledge was perfect for our golf outing and battlefield tour. The location and accommodation was exactly as advertised and a good fit for four friends on our yearly golf getaway. Would certainly stay again.

Perfect Location

We loved how close this property is to a lot of attractions! Gettysburg was only about 15min away, and Lancaster, Hershey, and D.C. are all within 2 hours.

The ledge cabin

The cabin is gorgeous!! Very clean. It has a lot of room and an awesome fire out area. We were staying there for our vacation to Gettysburg. It was about a twenty minute drive in to Gettysburg. The driveway is very steep. But other than that we loved it!!

perfect location for a getaway, we had a great experance

Came from South Jersey for bike week and came accross this cottage that was perfect for friends and family who enjoy each others company. Cozy and clean and large enough for privacy. Would recommend arriving in the daytime, night time can be challenging.

Great property and location

We did a family vacation at Gettysburg. The house was less than 1/2 hour from the battlefield. Lots of room for our family and had everything we needed. It is also located within minutes of the ski resort and golf course. All questions were answered quickly, and we even had our reservation adjusted. It was done very quickly as well.

Nice cabin in the woods

Great spot close to ski area and Gettysburg

We really loved this house! Close enough to Gettysburg but with the benefits of a ski area and golf 5 nins away! Secluded, along the river. Spacious and quiet. Perfect for 2 families. Hosts were gracious and the amenities were great. Look forward to skiing Liberty on the next visit!

Guys trip

Great for a guys trip. Property would be fine for kids but is more grown up friendly. Alot of steep hills getting in and out, but the inside of the house is great.

Loved the Ledge

Lovely rustic/modern decor and open layout, true to the photos. As two families with children, we really appreciated the well-appointed kitchen when cooking meals. Very often, the places we stay have only the bare minimum for cooking. The Ledge had everything we needed (pots, pans, knives, spices, oil, etc.) and the kitchen space was easy to work in as well. Much appreciated. Also wanted to echo another comment that the beds (specifically the mattresses) were outstanding. Very often, I worry about the quality of the mattresses, but the Ledge had superb ones, which was really nice after a long day of skiing! We also appreciated that the owners clearly noted that the driveway to the house was steep (and even included a photo showing the icy driveway). It was even steeper in person, and be aware that even if you park beneath, there's a quite steep portion when leaving back through the private road. There wasn't any snow, ice, or precipitation but we still managed to spin our tires a couple times!
