This newly renovated, spacious, modern furnished home has room to move around in, or just spending some quiet time in the jacuzzi tub located in the upstairs master bathroom. The front porch spans the width of the house and rocking chairs for sitting and catching the evening breeze. It's a five minute walk to downtown Galveston, the Strand, and the Cruise terminal. Ten blocks in the opposite direction, gets you to the beach and the Pleasure Pier. It's a block walk to the Moody Mansion and a half mile to Bishops Palace if you're interest
ed in taking a tour. Sleeps 8 + 2 roll away beds.

Bring your own towels and Air conditioner for this HOUSE!
The property has been renovated in a very odd way. There is no AC in the kitchen or the one of the downstairs bathrooms. There are 2 full bathrooms downstairs with only one bedroom downstairs and of that one bathroom downstairs it was around 90 degrees in that un-airconditioned bathroom. In addition, no AC for the kitchen and no dishwasher-so you are relying on the guests before you to actually properly wash those dishes-not a good think in Covid times. Also, no drying towels for dishes or drain board for dishes to dry. YUCK!! If you use the bathroom upstairs-only 1-make sure you are under 6ft tall. You will not fit in the shower stall upstairs. And yes, there are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 bath only. Owner was out of town when we were having issues with the house cooling off. His dad came by and tried to help. Owner is rude and not communicable. VERY DISAPPOINTED! He would not even return my phone call-just to call his mother and wouldn't answer the phone. HORRIBLE HOSTS!!!

We loved it...we enjoyed our stay.The house was big enough for everyone beds are comfortable. Towels rags pots pans coffee pot everything was there..if you get a chance to meet mother please do so,she was very helpful loving and so so sweet. Alot of people walking up and down side of the house by the store,no one bothered you..front porch was our hang out we loved the rockers while having coffee in the mornings and cool breeze at night...we will definitely stay again in future...

My family stayed here a week for vacation and family time. We had three families staying and there was plenty of room for all. The house was in a nice location central to everything. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay!!! The owners were great and very responsive to any questions we had. Loved it!!!!

We rented this property for a weekend bachelorette trip of 15. The owner's of the property were very nice and helpful. The house is immaculate and spacious. The neighborhood is fairly quiet. Will definitely book again!

Girls Weekend - Mardis Gras
Nine ladies, most in our upper 50's, stayed in this beautiful home for the weekend. We selected this home because it has enough beds and comfortable seating for all of us and its location is perfect for the parades. The host is absolutely fabulous, had the porch decorated with lights and the mock fireplace/heater going for us when we arrived (it was a very cold weekend), and available for any questions. We are so grateful for being able to stay in this beautiful home. Thank you!

Fun, but needs a few tweaks
The sleeping set up was perfect for our family. We had four families, 8 adults, 2 kids under 10, and 2 infants. The kitchen said it was fully stocked, but did not have a baking pan or spatula. Coffee maker works well, but there were no filters so we had to buy some. The fridge never seemed to get cold enough for our waters. The washer and dryer worked well, there were plenty of towels and soap for us. The downstairs bathroom was very warm and almost unusable. There is a grill (we did not use it). The men request I add that the house needs 2 ply toilet paper. ;) The lower level did get warm, but I’d expect that when we were in and out all day in the heat. Ceiling fans and showers were excellent. Overall the set up and size were great for the amount of people we had!

Enjoyed our stay!
The property is well kept has lots of space and clean. Enjoyed staying here. The beach is about a 20 minute walk. We enjoyed the walk, it seemed shorter than 20 minutes. On our way we saw the park which has a sprinkler park. The owners dad lives 2-3 houses down and greeted us upon arrival and was very kind. Owner answered my texts promptly. Thank you for a great stay!

We were a small group of 5 friends on a little getaway and get together post Covid. The house was located in an up and coming neighborhood, seemed safe enough, we had no problems, except the frequent sirens in the evening. The home has been beautifully restored, seems to have maintained many original charms. There were problems with the A/C in different parts of the house. In fact the bathroom off the kitchen became known as the Turkish sauna, and was rarely used. The kitchen was a huge disappointment, no dishwasher, no toaster or blender, the fridge was never cold enough, and the ice machine was turned off, we never did get it to work. The owner advertised kitchen full stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Their were dishes, but no large bowls to mix things in, or a strainer. The only way to discuss the pot and pans was terrible, 1 small fry pan designed to cook for 2 and 4 small pots. None would suffice for a group of 10, we were a group of 5 and struggled to get breakfast cooked. If you have no other intent but to make coffee in this kitchen you will be very happy with this property. But at this price point, I would expect much better kitchen equipment. Unfortunately the poor kitchen equipment has left me very dissatisfied with this property.

Fantastic property
First off, this house is bigger than I expected. It was very clean. Sleeping options were as described. Owners have done a great job stocking the house. No issues during our stay at all. Great communication from owners. The location is very convenient - we walked to the Strand for dinner (.8 mi). My only (minor) complaint is there want a ton of street parking in from off the house and the lack of street lights made me feel (slightly) uncomfortable parking my suburban overnight down the street.
