Central yet private location, perfect for couples, pet friendly
Thank you for viewing Relaxing Retreat situated PERFECTLY between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Relaxing Retreat is exactly what its name states. You will find yourself in a place that allows you to find serenity and relaxation but still have all the amenities of being at home. This cabin is perfect for couples looking to get away for a romantic vacation but quaint enough for a small family-setting as well.
Your relaxing retreat starts as soon as you turn off the Parkway and travel to the top of the mountain on a fully-paved road. The road does wind upwards, but is easy to manage. Parking is tight but can hold 2 cars.
Relaxing Retreat is located in a private area but so close to all-things going on either in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. You are less than 10 minutes to either location (5 miles to Gatlinburg or 4 miles to Pigeon Forge). You can get out on the town and enjoy everything there is to offer but come back to the cabin and feel like you are away from it all and relax in the hot tub on the back deck or in the Jacuzzi tub in front of the double-sided fireplace (seasonally operated).
The master bedroom comes with a king-sized bed, Jacuzzi tub, full bathroom with combo tub/shower, flat screen tv, and gas fireplace that sees through to the living room. PLEASE NOTE: The bathroom is only accessible through the master bedroom.
Kitchen comes fully equipped with all cooking utensils needed to make your favorite meals; you just provide your own food.
Living room has 2 recliners and a pull out sleeper/sofa. There is a flat screen tv and gas fireplace.
The upstairs loft functions as a game room with a pool table, futon and flat screen tv.
Check in: After 3 PM Check out: Before 10 AM Non-Smoking Pet Friendly —-> you must check the box for bringing a pet and pay the $18 per night fee per pet (2 max). This is an isolated cabin with one lane winding mountain roads. A small SUV or car is best suited. When it says one car only it’s because only one car fits! The cabin is equal distance from pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. Very quiet and secluded. Lots of privacy. Had some quirks. The hot tub is right outside the bedroom and will cycle all night if the temp isn’t turned down. If you’re a light sleeper then bring some ear plugs. The wind will cause the trees to hit the roof, there’s some other sounds the house may have also. Overall we had a good experience here and the place suited our needs.
Booked the relaxing retreat for a long weekend to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. The cabin was beautiful, the location was secluded yet still close to all amenities and attractions. Would (and already have) recommended to friends!
The cabin is beautiful, cozy and clean. We loved the 2 sided fireplace and the high ceilings. It is a ways ip a windy mountain road but completely paved and manageable, if you are careful!

Get away.
The cabin was very cozy and peaceful. Everything you need is provided. This stay for us was to get a break from the hustle and bustle of every day life and it definitely provided it. We will definitely return. If you get the chance to listen to the rain will sitting on the back deck, please do it was amazing!

This cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. We really enjoyed being away from the crowds, but close enough to everything. Our kids also really enjoyed the pool table. We saw a bear on the first day of out stay, not far down from the cabin.
The property was a bit scary to get to at first but we found an alternate route that was much easier to go through. This was probably the cleanest vrbo property that I have ever stayed in. The bathroom, indoor tub, and hot tub were all spotless, and that’s hard to say for most places! It was quiet and also very
private. The driveway a little tricky to park in at first but we got the hang of it quickly. Although, the fire place did not work, it was completely out of the hand’s of the owners as it was a holiday weekend. It seemed like it would’ve great if it was able to turn on, though. I also really appreciated them having specific black towels for makeup! Overall would absolutely stay there again, the location was perfect!!
To begin with, the map led us to a private property gate which could not be accessed without a code. We had to reverse down a steep grade hill and being cautious to not go off the edge of the mountain. When we finally did arrive, although the listing was advertised as dog friendly, there was no location for the dogs to go to the restroom; which would have been fine with us if it had been disclosed prior. Upon making entry to the cabin, there were several lights that were out, cobb webs all over the interior of the house. On the final day of our stay, I heard something in the wall which sounded like a mouse or squirrel trying to make its way inside the cabin. Contacted the property manager, who advised she would contact someone to take care of it later. My fiancé could not sleep due to the unknown critter digging at the wall all night. Overall the experience was not the greatest, especially since this was the trip that I proposed to my fiancé on. I would not return to this property.
My granddaughter turned 10 years old so we rented a cabin as part of her birthday and celebrated with her bff and my 90 year old grandmother. We had an absolute blast ❣️

Amazing views, Relaxing Retreat is a good name for this cabin:)
My husband and I celebrated our 20 years at Relaxing Retreat. It was everything we wanted and more. It was tucked away from the hustle and bustle if Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but 20 minute drive to either of the towns attractions, Perfect. The cabin had all our basic needs and the bed was so comfortable we bought a topper as soon as we got home to receive the same comfort as our stay. The owner Misty w responded immediately when I had a question. Will be staying again. Thank you
This cabin is in a great location and has everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable as well. We've been to the area at least 5 times and this was the first time we've seen any bears! It was great visit!

About the host
Hosted by Misty Tobitt
Our family has been visiting Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg since 1994 when my husband and I spent our honeymoon in Gatlinburg. Every year since and 3 kids later, we still enjoy spending our time away here. On a visit not too long ago, we decided that we should purchase a cabin to enjoy as a family and allow others to enjoy as well. We look forward to coming to stay and relax for a while but are excited that we can now offer that same relaxation to others.
Why they chose this property
When we began our search for a cabin, we tossed around all the different features that different locations have to offer. We knew we wanted to be close to everything from the front end of pigeon forge to the back end of gatlinburg. This cabin is perfectly located directly between the two making it convenient to all the attractions.
What makes this property unique
Relaxing Retreat is a cozy cabin with all the amenities from home. The upstairs loft that overlooks the living area with cathedral ceilings struck us upon entry. There is a front porch and back deck to enjoy many views of nature in the mountain.
