We are an elderly couple who stayed with Brian for 5 days. He welcomed us at the door, showed us around, and left us alone to acclimate. We were very pleased with his accommodations. All went well and we appreciate his sharing his home with us.
My husband and I had an amazing time during our stay. Brian was very nice and friendly. The property was very nice and clean. The beds were so comfortable. Overall my husband and I were very happy and enjoyed our stay at this property.
Brian's house is really nice in a lovely wooded setting. This is the second time I have staid there. Brian is very kind and I consider him a friend now.
I was just there to relax and I got that. The owner was friendly and helpful while giving me space. House was cool. The road out front was a good place to go for walks.
Do understand that even though this is on vrbo you won’t be alone at the house.
Brian's home is on a quiet wooded lot near Burlington, Lake Geneva and Elkhorn. My lower level room had had a walk-in closet and confortable furnishings. Brian was an accomodating host, providing a mirror and fan when I asked. The kitchen is well equipped. The front deck area is a perfect spot for reading. A perrect place for someone who wants peace and quiet.
The house is really nice located in a somewhat rural area but close to lake Geneva and Burlington. Brian is a great host, very kind, interesting and treats you like a member of the family. Brian became a friend very quickly. The house is clean in a wooded environment. We enjoyed watching many wild animals and birds in his yard. Everything was clean and the house is quiet. We were able to use the kitchen and other facilities. Overall a great stay, I will stay there again on my next visit to this area.
Brian’s home is a wonderful place to stay! I highly recommend staying at this house. It’s in a great, quiet location without being too far away from restaurants, shops, and activities. His rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious. From toiletries to snacks to ice packs, Brian thought of everything to make your time in his home feel just as if you were in your own. He is generous with his time, too! He gave us a tour of his beautiful outdoor paths and let us meet his chickens. Brian is a great conversationalist if you want to chat and a quiet host if you want to be on your own. When I arrived, it was at the home of a stranger, but I left the home of a friend.
Brian is a wonderful host, thought of everything as he prepared to share his home with guests. Makes certain guests are comfortable + have everything they need but is never intrusive. Beautiful, secluded, quiet home in the woods. Highly recommend it + will stay here again if we're in the area.
Wonderful, relaxing, peaceful country living. Brian is a gracious host who just wants you to feel at home. Very willing to visit or give you your space. Close to Lake Geneva, East Troy, Lake Como. Take the trolley ride in East Troy, eat dinner at Lulabells Dockside on Beulah Lake. Visit The Elegant Farmer and bring a chicken pot pie back to heat in the oven and a famous apple pie for desert.
Thanks Brian and Ellie
Two sassy Grammas stayed here at Brian’s. Brian couldn’t have been more inviting and friendly! His house is very clean and believe me, we checked it out.😉 His house was cozy, and he made us feel right at home with everything we could possibly need and then some. Beautiful serene wooded yard. Very quiet and peaceful. We slept great. Our destination was Lake Geneva and this was just out of town about 18 min. Great country setting.
Great accommodations and plenty of room. Felt like a welcomed guest in Brian’s home and I’m glad I stayed. Overall would stay again next time I’m in town for business. 👍
Nice location, close to great national parks, hiking, fishing lakes and only 20 minutes from Lake Geneva. A well maintained home, with a beautiful garden backing into a wooded area. Brian was a very gracious host, who opened his house to us. He offered not only a bedroom with a kitchenette, as advertised in the Vrbo posting, but also access to his main kitchen and other amenities and activities. We greatly enjoyed our chats with Brian and highly appreciated his great suggestions for local restaurants and things to do in the area. We’ll certainly plan on coming back.
My main issue was a feeling of lack of privacy as the top floor lacked blinds or curtains so hot tub felt like it was exposed. We felt he was not prepared for our arrival although he was specific about arrival time. He was vey nice when we saw him. Beautiful surroundings

Hello! I hope you too will experience this woodland space, which I call home. I look forward to hosting your stay! Why they chose this property
There is something magical about the nature of this rural woodland. Magical is how the light filters in at different times of the day, ever changing through the seasons. Delightful is each blossom, flower and tree color as they take their turn throughout the year. Warm air lingers under the tree canopy as cool air finds the open grass and reveals the peaceful sounds that accompany the emerging country night. Inspiring as a new beginning to feel the warm sun brightening the expanse of trickle-melting snow-blanketed wetland. It is in this place, so closely surrounded by nature, where my soulful energy resonates.
