The apartment is located in La Carihuela, a popular holiday area right by the sea. It is conveniently situated on the ground floor and is accessed through a pretty Andalusian style open-air courtyard, set within a small 3-storey complex. It is just a 3 minute walk to the sandy beaches, with restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets close by. The Carihuela area is famous for its fish and seafood, served in the local restaurants and beach-bars. Television receiving UK and Spanish channels (and others) plus Wi-Fi Internet access. There is a disabled parking bay outside the apartment.

Week in the sunshine

We stayed here from the 4-11June 2024 The location of the apartment is perfect it’s a minutes walk to the bars , restaurants & beach . It’s a lovely gated complex so it’s very safe . The apartment is spacious & clean and also has a washing machine . Decent hair dryer & iron are also supplied and a good supply of towels and bedding . A full & very useful information pack is also provided, the Wi-Fi works well & the host’s communication is brilliant! We will definitely be booking again

Andalusian style Apartment close to all amenities

Lovely apartment off a private courtyard, good location, really close to the seafront, shops, bars and restaurants. Local buses just a short walk away. Apartment is spacious with a separate well equipped kitchen and utility. Both twin bedrooms have plenty of storage, bathroom has shelving and towel hooks and everything spotlessly clean. Graham was very helpful and provided lots of information on the surrounding area. Great hosts, would definitely recommend!

Fantastic

Excellent location close to the beach with supermarkets, shops and restaurants within a 1 minute walk. Check-in procedure was superb and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Great to have UK Television channels and Wi-Fi with good speed. Will definitely be back.

Buena ubicación, estupendo apartamento

El apartamento está estupendo,limpieza cuando llegamos, toallas para cambiar, el aire acondicionado estupendo en toda la casa. La ubicaimcion es perfecta,si conocéis Torremolinos, está el paseo marítimo,luego la calle de las tiendas y la siguiente calle es donde está el apartamento, la única pega es que al estar tan céntrico es muy difícil aparcar,pero no se puede tener todo. El contacto con el propietario en todo momento a sido estupendo, muy amable y muy atento. Las camas son estupendas, los colchones están nuevos lo que te hace descansar muy bien.

De accommodatie heeft echter wel wat onderhoud nodig in de keuken, kastdeurtje die los zat, badkamer kastje de lades blijven hangen moet ze oplichten om open te schuiven.

Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Wir waren zu dritt und jeder hatte Platz genug. Gerne kommen wir

Großzügig liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit vielen hilfreichen Extras. Nahe am Strand und vielen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Obwohl im Erdgeschoss gelegen, war es sehr ruhig. Ein paar Schritte raus, und man war mitten im Geschehen. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Kontakt zu Graham war sehr nett und freundlich. Danke, dass wir dort wohnen durften. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Spot on

Have stayed here before . Excellent location so close to beach and sea front restaurants , yet so peaceful and cool indoors when hot . There is everything you need in the apartment for an easy holiday , beds very comfortable, fantastic refurbished bathroom and well equipped kitchen. WiFi, Aircon and TV all user friendly. Will always stay here as we know it does what it says on the tin !! Best resort lots of lovely bars and restaurants, we tend to stay very close to home and love Sotto Voce for food and El Horno beach bar is welcoming and now do Sushi that is the best , freshly made in front of you . It really is 10 out of 10 for this apartment .

First class apartment

A great holiday in a great apartment. This apartment really is just 2 minutes from beach, bars, shops and restaurants. This ground floor apartment was clean, comfortable and with all the facilities you need for a holiday stay. Comfortable beds and a lovely large bathroom with walk in power shower. The kitchen has a good range of equipment, including a washing machine and tumble drier. Tv with good range of english channels to keep up with news from home. Booking was a simple process and it was good to have keys before travelling. Graham provided lots of useful information, eg local restaurants, instructions for tv & wifi etc. Graham proved easily contactable during a 'mini crisis' on our last day & his family were quick to help with cheerfulness & good humour !! Would not hesitate to recommend this apartnent to others wanting a great holiday in a great apartment.

Brilliant location spaciuos apartment

Wonderful location 2 minutes from restaurants and the beach . This isn't Torrelominos (as we know it) it is a district nearby and far nicer with hundreds of good quality authentic Spanish restaurants. The apartment itself is homely , very well equipped , clean and spacious. We loved it and will return . The communal courtyard entrance area, behind locked doors is beautiful and the property feels safe and secure because of this . The terrace is enclosed and a nice place to enjoy breakfast. There is no balcony or anywhere to dine alfresco but frankly this is not a problem - as why would you do this when there are a hundred restaurants on your doorstep . Thank you Graham – we loved the apartment and the locality . We have been travelling to the Malaga area for 20 years regularly and had never considered or heard of La Cariheuela as an area before – but it is wonderful locality.

Great Apartment, Great Location

This is our 2nd time to stay at this apartment and We had no hesitation in booking it. It is close to all the amenities that the area has to offer. The apartment itself has everything you would need and is very comfortable to stay in. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property for your holiday base. The bus stop and taxi ranks are only a short walk away and if feeling athletic everything is within walking distance.

Excellent property

We stayed in this apartment for 5 nights and it had everything you need for your holiday. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The TV had English and Irish channels and the WI FI was excellent. Location was great it was near restaurants, shops and beach. I had my mother in law with us who was 82 years and this apartment was ideal for her as all the amenities were just around the corner. Graham was great informing us with details about the apartment and the location. We will be booking this apartment again when we visit Torromolinos.

Fabulous apartment and location

Set out for a short winter break and to take mother along too, so we decided a property may be better than hotel rooms. Having been to the area before, we knew the location was going to be great. Graham was fantastic, organising keys and sending a very full information pack, so we really couldn't go wrong. The apartment was even better than expected. Spotlessly clean, 2 full bedrooms, powerful walk in shower!, excellent sized living area and a kitchen with everything you could ask, even with washing machine and dryer. The complex itself was also very clean and the pictures are spot on. There's 2 main streets in the town and the accommodation was set one back from these, so was quiet and peaceful even though it was literally 1 minute from the main drag. There's too many bars and restaurants to fit in, so we were never struggling to entertain ourselves. It's a very welcoming and friendly resort and I couldn't recommend both Graham and the area any higher.

Spotless Secure Apartment

Just returned from our second stay in this property. When you enter this apartment you are entering sombody's home. Everything is there for you , high speed internet, UK/ IRISH television stations, modern air conditioning, strong lock on front door, Three minute walk from main beach, strip,resturants, grtocery stores. Five minute walk to the Catholic church. Six minute walk to the bus stops. No pool though, limited sun on the balcony because the property is on a narrow street. We loved it !!

Great Location, Close to Bars & Beach

The property is in a great location right near La Carihuela (20 Euro in a taxi from the airport) where all the restaurants, shops, bars and a number of Chiringuitos are located. It's located a short 1 minute walk to the beach, bars & restaurants, a 10 minute walk uphill to the main square in the centre of Torremolinos and 15 minutes from the Marina at Benalmadena. The property is very secure with gated entrance to a small courtyard before entrance to the main property. When we stayed the bathroom had recently been tastefully updated to a modern and contemporary feel with shower, wash basin, toilet and bidet. The property has all the amenities needed for four adults / family with children comprising a separate kitchen with washing machine, tumble drier, fridge freezer, kettle, etc.. English TV Channels (to catch up on the days news in the morning) are available in the living room and there's a small area off the living room for dining if you want to cook yourself (not our thing whilst on holiday) and there's free WI-FI. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the apartment during our stay as we like to get out and about and enjoy the local hospitality but it was in a great location for our needs. Graham was really helpful with the booking and really approachable and very accommodating with information / payments. The keys arrived as promised nearly 2 weeks before our departure and a really nice touch was a list of local restaurants where previous visitors had recommended along with directions / instructions for other useful essentials. Based on what we paid for the whole holiday we were really happy with the whole experience. This was the first time I had used Owner's Direct after being directed to the website by a friend and was naturally a bit hesitant after being used to booking holidays with Thomson, Virgin, Jet 2, Thomas Cook, etc... but Graham was really friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Graham, thanks for making the experience very stress free and we will certainly be in touch again if we decide to return to Torremolinos. Great holiday had by all, many thanks and all the best.

Maria Carmen and Graham Pyle have owned the Carihuela, Torremolinos property since 2001. We live in Enfield UK, although we have relatives in Torremolinos, who look after the apartment for us. We have enjoyed family holidays in Torremolinos nearly every year since we bought the apartment and our two sons now also use the apartment for their own family holidays.

Why they chose this property

We got to know Torremolinos when Maria Carmen's sister went to work there and she introduced us to 'La Carihuela', which is a vibrant area both during the day and at night. Apart from the lovely beaches, there are many bars, shops and restaurants of all types, many of which serve seafood specialities, typical of this part of the coast. Malaga airport is only about 20 minutes drive or train ride away.

What makes this property unique

If you stay at our apartment you will be only 3 minutes walk from the fabulous sandy beaches, beach bars, restaurants and shops.
The apartment is on the ground floor with access through an open-air Andalusian courtyard, so no queuing for lifts or walking up flights of stairs!
