Fantastic week away
We had a lovely week at James property, the house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. James and his parents were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The location was fabulous, just a short walk over the green to the castle and beach. The lovely village centre is very handy too with great places to eat and an excellent butchers shop and deli.Oh, and the view! To look out at Bamburgh castle from the kitchen and bedroom windows was just so special.

New years stay 2022/23
A super New Years stay in a lovely property and location. Pretty village with great beach walks and nice pubs/restaurants. On the down side - there were no logs provided for fire and I don’t believe it’s right to ask guests to take their glass recycling to the local car park..!

Perfect home from home
Delightful, immaculate cottage in a wonderful location. Views of the castle from the bedroom and kitchen are amazing, the photos don’t do it justice! Spotlessly clean, comfortable and high spec. Kitchen fully equipped, comfortable bed, everything we needed for an excellent week in beautiful Bamburgh. One of the best holiday cottages we’ve stayed in. Thanks James!

January stay in Bamburgh
Delightful cottage in a perfect location. Immaculately clean, well maintained, high quality fixtures and fittings. Attention to detail and some lovely extra touches such as fresh scones & butter on arrival and the essential pint of milk! Owners helpful and welcoming. We would thoroughly recommend the cottage and hope to return there ourselves in the not too distant future.

Fabulous cottage
What more could you want! A view of the castle whilst eating breakfast and a very comfortable cottage made our stay perfect. Some days were totally glorious with gorgeous blue skies, sunshine and long beach walks immediately from the cottage. The cottage had a number of thoughtful additions, such as an electric blanket on the bed to make the cooler nights cosy. The kitchen was well equipped. We like to do all our own cooking and there were plenty of kitchen knives, pans and even extras like a food mixer which nearly got used for making a birthday cake! The cottage was very warm on arrival with a welcoming bunch of flowers on the kitchen table, which made you feel at home straight away. James was very quick to respond to any messages. We would highly recommend the cottage for a perfect holiday

Fabulous location
We had a wonderful week in Bamburgh. The location is perfect for the great cafes and restaurants in Bamburgh. The Lord Crewe at the end of the road had tasty seafood. Leaving the house we never needed to even put the dog onto the lead… straight onto the field under the castle and then over the dunes to the beach. The beaches are a hidden gem of the UK, so empty given how incredible they are. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage, beautiful location
We stayed at Boundary Cottage for a week to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. We were looking for a cosy hideaway and weren’t disappointed. The cottage is gorgeous. Beautifully appointed and comfortable. A real home from home. Comfortable bed, cute furnishings, modern bathroom, well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge with log burner. The location is just wow. A stone’s throw from the castle, beach and village centre with butcher, deli, cafes, pubs, restaurants and ice cream shops. Really couldn’t have asked for better and all well hosted by owner James. Thank you! We hope to return soon!!

Amazing Cottage
Fantastic old cottage on the side of the village green. Beach is a few mins walk away and goes on for miles to Seahouses. The view of the view of Bamborough castle from kitchen and back bedroom is outstanding. Kitchen is well equiped with all quality utensiles, and kitchen table is large enough to sit x4 adults. Lounge is confortable and great open fire and there was further coal available - although as expected had to stock up on further logs. Bedrooms - x1 double x1 singles comfortable and plenty of space. Bathroom warm and modern, with a powerful shower. it is one of the few places we've stayed where we felt at home. Bamborough is a pretty village. The downside is that so many of the cottages are for rent.

Great location, amazing views. A very well equipped house, with good quality and well maintained fittings. Only slight disappointment was the lack of comfortable relaxing furniture in the lounge, but the sofa is being replaced. However we would recommend it to anyone and would highly recommend the property as the location and views of the castle are fantastic.

Home from home in a superb location
The best street in Bamburgh in our opinion (we have visited Bamburgh for 30 years!) Beautifully finished, lots of lovely touches, and great to find somewhere of this quality which accepts dogs (we are incredibly house proud, but often struggle to find quality lets that understand dog owners are clean and tidy!) Amazing views, lovely and quiet, all the best walks and beaches within a moment’s walk or a short drive. Booked for the same week next year!

Perfect Holiday Cottage
My wife and I and Millie the dog enjoyed some wonderful beach walks both from the cottage and taking the bus down the coast to Seahouses and beyond and walking back. We were particularly moved by the Pages of the Sea Remembrance activities on St. Aidan's beach while we were there. We ate locally at The Lord Crewe Arms, The Potted Lobster, and The Victoria all of which serve excellent food and are dog-friendly and within easy walking distance of the cottage. As the days were relatively short during our stay, we found the cottage to be an extremely comfortable and homely place to spend our evenings, my wife spent a lot of time doing a jigsaw on the kitchen table! We had no hesitation in booking another stay next year.

Boundary Cottage review
Boundary Cottage was a home from home, and a gorgeous base for our week in Northumberland. The owner is prompt with replies, and generous with offers of help during our stay. The kitchen and bathroom are decked out with beautiful fittings, and the living room is a cosy place to relax. Beds were very comfortable, and we loved the unusual bedside lamps! Two car parking spaces is a bonus in Bamburgh. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property to others.

The best cottage holiday we have ever had
This was our first (and not last!) visit to Bamburgh and found it a charming and delightful base from which to explore Northumberland. Boundary cottage can only be described as superb with everything provided that we could possibly require and very comfortable indeed. The property exceeded all our expectations.

Top class Cottage in Top class location
The Cottage is very well equipped to a very high standard. It was clean, well maintained and we were pleased to see bread, milk butter and jams waiting for our arrival. The situation in Bamburgh was superb, a few feet from a green and cricket field with easy access to the wonderful beach and a truly magnificent view of the castle. We had very good meals at the Victoria and The Potted Lobster and visited many local attractions including The Farne Islands, Craster, Low Newton , Alnwick and Berwick. The bus service along the coast was very efficient and a good way to enjoy the wonderful scenery from the top deck. We would not hesitate to recommend Boundary Cottage as a great place to stay in a wonderful part of the country.

What makes this property unique

Boundary Cottage is in a perfect location within easy walking distance of the beach and the village centre. It's a far cry from the typical holiday let and is equipped and furnished as if it were our main home. It is used largely by family and friends and has many home comforts and facilities such as full central heating, an open fire and a telephone landline (mobile signal provided by most network carriers is sporadic). Views of the castle are stunning.
