Unique location and superb view!

So relaxed

We had 6 weeks here in Jan/Feb 2025. Amazing balcony which afforded us super views every day, sunsets were lovely, two days of storms were just incredible, but the weather was mainly hot. The kitchen was perfect for me, a chef and I was able to use the incredible fresh food Madeira offers to gain 4lbs , if you use kilos you work it out. The furniture is a bit dated but then so are we and we were really comfortable. We have stayed in Madeira, hotels and apartments for twenty plus years. First time we felt seriously miserable to go home.Cleaners were fun and efficient.We loved the no fuss check in key safe.Booking it next year.There is always a bad side. The fire alarm sounded while we were there. My husband is deaf, not totally deaf he wears hearing aids and he did not hear the alarm. It seriously needs updating to one that sounds in every apartment.

Location idéale pour visiter madère

Cet appartement est idéal pour la découverte de l île. Idéalement situé près du centre de Funchal sur la plage de formosa. L appartement est très spacieux (100m2) deux grandes chambres et deux salle de bain. Il est très bien équipé, il y avait même des serviettes pour la piscine! très bien orienté pour voir le coucher du soleil ! situé dans une résidence avec une piscine et un accès direct sur la plage de galets. il y a plusieurs resto sympa proches, et juste en bas un bar au bord de plage un bar pour les apéros. Un chemin longe la plage tout le long pour se balader. Je recommande vraiment cet appartement, il y a un parking dans la résidence. la propriétaire est très disponible.

Great ocean view!

The Atlantic Garden Apt was wonderful…any closer to the ocean you would be wet! The rooms were spacious & never felt congested with 4 adults. Roomy balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean with great flow of air into the apartment The large kitchen was well stocked with appliances & dishes. We loved having 2 seperate bathrooms for each couple. Bus stop very near & a boardwalk fronted the ocean that lead to a few eating places and eventually to the town of Funchal...made for great walks & the only flat place in town! A 5 star for everything EXCEPT the mattresses..much too firm/ hard…a foam topper would be a quick & easy solution. If ever visiting Madeira again, would love to stay at this place..even with a firm mattress!

6 weeks in Paradise

We stayed in this unit for 6 weeks in March. We were very happy with the accommodation. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots and new frying pans. The beds were very comfortable. The view was amazing. It was about a 10 minute walk on the promenade and through the tunnel to catch #2 bus to Funchal. The bus to catch #1 up the hill was a bit more challenging. The hosts were quick to respond to 2 issues that were resolved quickly. I would highly recommend this unit.

A good month’s holiday overall. With a superb beach front location the apartment is spacious with a well equipped kitchen area. However we did have a problem with the initial cleanliness & maid service. Also the second bedroom desperately needs new mattresses & pillows ( I had to wash the pillows!) Also it would be good to update the description on the website as there isn’t a gym ( I was expecting to be able to use an exercise bike!) or a pool table as mentioned currently.

Centrally located beachfront condo!

This apartment is exactly as described. It is a well equipped 2 bedroom condo right on Praia Formosa with beautiful sunsets. The beachfront boardwalk allows you to walk either to Funchal or Camara dos Lobos, with many restaurants nearby. Sandra, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. We would choose this place again, and highly recommend it to others.

Quiet oceanside getaway

What a lovely homebase for our hiking adventures! The manager was very good at getting back to us. Used kitchen, swimming pool and balcony often. Ceiling fans over beds would be appreciated on hot nights!

Fantastic holidays

The apartment was great , just like in the photos. The kitchen was fully equipped, there was everything we needed. The host was friendly,really helpful and immediately answered every question. We will definitely come back here!

Beautiful view

Nice airy apartment, large balcony with a beautiful view of the beach & sea. Various nice restaurants and bars close by. Supermarket is a bit further away. Property owner answered texts promptly and was very accommodating when we needed to check out a couple hours later. Would definitely recommend!

Leider nicht so toll!

Die Wohnung befand sich in einem nicht so sauberen Zustand.In der Küche lagen noch Brotkrümel unter dem Herd und die Arbeitsplatte kebte stellenweise.Der Boden war nicht vernünftig gereinigt so das Barfuss laufen nicht möglich war.Im großen Bad waren noch Haare vom Vogänger:innen auf dem Boden.Die Möbelierung war auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.Außer die Küche.Die war etwas neuer.Bereits 2019 waren wir in diesem Haus zu Gast allerdings in einem anderen Appartment.Da sah die Sache schon etwas anders aus. Auch waren leider im Haus und am Haus diverse Baustellen, so das die Erholung etwas zu kurz kam!

wir haben die lange Zeit sehr genossen

Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr schön und geräumig und entspricht der Beschreibung. Die Lage so direkt am Atlantik ist für Funchal einmalig. Das Haus ist leicht zu finden. Direkt am Eingang des Komplexes befindet sich die End-bzw. Anfangsstation des Flughafenbusses. Die wöchentliche Reinigung bzw. der Bettwäsche- und Handtuch-Tausch klappte gut. Die Umgebungsbeschreibung der Wohnung ist allerdings überholt. Das Pestana-Hotel ist geschlossen(soll aber ev. wieder in Betrieb gehen). Damit entfielen auch die Restaurants, die Poolbar und das Essen im Freien. Der direkte Zugang zum Strand war wegen umfangreichen Baumaßnahmen der Ozeanpromenade (Fertigstellung im Mai geplant) gesperrt. Dadurch war auch der kurze Weg zum Einkaufen und zur Lido-Promenade bzw. zur Bushaltestelle der Linie 2. versperrt. So blieb nur ein sehr kräftezehrender steiler Weg mit einer Treppe nach oben, der auch runter zu anstrengend war. Der ganztägige Baustellenlärm von montags bis samstags war schon sehr belastend. So konnte die sehr schöne Balkonterrasse nur sonntags oder zum Sonnenuntergang genutzt werden. Glücklicherweise bietet Funchal und die gesamte Insel Madeira ausreichende Möglichkeiten zum erholen und erleben, so dass wir die gesamte Zeit von 50 Tagen genießen konnten.

Great Apartment

I really enjoyed my week there. The balcony and view of the ocean is complete. The kitchen has all appliances and the washer works great. The bed was very comfortable. The bus to and from the airport comes right to the bldg. which is very convenient. I did some day trips where I could have a transfer to and from the bldg. to the trip. The key box to receive and return the keys is very easy to use. The resort had a nice big pool and three elevators.

Note good cleaning at arrival. But fixed very guick !

Missing the tunnel for walking the promenade ! Very heavy steps and hill to walk up to busses. Good restaurants nearby ! Nice and guit pool area.
