Welcome to Neptuno 1! Our family apartment is bright, spacious and comfortable - perfect for a family holiday or short break/base while exploring this beautiful part of the Algave. It is literally minutes walk from the beautiful Benagil beach.
The front door opens to a large lounge/dining area with patio doors onto a spacious, south facing terrace with steps leading up to an additional, large roof terrace. From the roof terrace there are views of the sea to the front and fields to the back. We have 2 sunloungers on the roof, also a table and chairs.
We have a full fitted kitchen off the dining area with oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer washing machine and dishwasher.
A small hallway from the lounge/dining area leads to two spacious bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second bedroom has twin beds and a singe sofa bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The family bathroom, off the hallway has a large bath with overhead shower and a separate shower.
The apartment has a private parking space for one car. It is one of 14 privately owned apartments, which are located on the road heading down to the beach. The apartments are surrounded by beautiful flowering shrubs. There is a shared swimming pool and paddling pool with sun loungers to use around the pools, a shower and stunning tiled seat with views across fields.
Our apartment is located on the edge of the village of Benagil, just 5 minutes walk to the stunning beach where the famous Benagil caves are located. Benagil village nestles on the cliff tops either side of a small ravine, leading down to its beautiful beach where you can swim and explore the caves in one of the local boats, kayak or SUP.
There is also a beautiful cliff top walk to Marniha beach or Carvelho beach in the other direction. This forms part of the coastline's infamous 7 hanging valley trail. The village offers a perfect base for a lovely holiday or short break with a handful of excellent locally run restaurants offering traditional Portuguese food.
It is just 10 minutes drive to lively Carvoeiro or the quaint market town of Lagoa. The apartment is close to golf, tennis, shops, potteries, waterparks, bars and numerous restaurants. With its renowned quay-side sardine lunches you can enjoy the fishing port of Portimao, also close by.
For families we have a high chair and a pull out sprung bed is safe for 2 year old upwards as has arms so won't fall out! There is also a cot available on request.
Our apartment is managed by Ana who is super friendly and helpful and is kept beautifully clean by Annabelle.

PLEASE NOTE: IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL CHARGE - LOCAL TOURIST TAX:
The Lagoa Municipal Tourist Tax came into force on April 13, 2024.
This is a tax charged by the local government and is not included in the price of the apartment reservation, so is an additional charge made by and to the local municipal. It is levied on guests aged 13 years or over, and is applied throughout the year. It must be paid separately, in euros, to our manager on arrival.
Charges:
1€ per night and per person up to a maximum value of 7 consecutive nights between November 1st and March 31st - low season.
2€ per night and per person up to a maximum value of 7 consecutive nights between April 1st and October 31st - high season.
This will need to be paid to our Property Manager in euros during your stay, along with your passport numbers and home address. Ana will have forms available for this.
