Villa with Private Pool in a Patio Garden

"Cuba Libre" is in the small rural village of Pago Del Humo. Within walking distance to the village of Pago del Humo where there are 5 very good bars a restaurants, a mini supermarket, pharmacy and an excellent bus route to the surrounding villages and beaches.
Outside there is a private patio garden enhanced with citrus trees and bougainvilleas. The kitchen door opens onto a patio terrace with a table and six chairs and overlooks the pool. There is a Barbeque. The pool is 8m x 4m with shallow Roman steps to get in easily. There are sun loungers and umbrella. The patio is south facing and gets the sun from early morning to late at night. The villa is surrounded by a wall which gives you complete privacy. The pool is for guest use only. The neighbors are Spanish.
Inside Cuba Libre, there are 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms one bathroom is ensuite, a large sitting room with fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also central heating and air conditioning. A wood-burning stove adds warmth and charm to the villa during the winter.
The villa is ideally located for you to visit numerous places of interest in the region but you will need a car. The village shop, pharmacy, restaurants, and bars are a few minutes by car or a 15- minute walk. The Blue Flag Beach of La Barrosa is 15 minutes by car. Also nearby is an undeveloped beach area with sand dunes. The traditional Spanish town of Chiclana is a 10- minute drive with plenty of restaurants, shops, and markets. There are several golf courses in the area. Cuba Libre is ideally located and is the gateway to many places of interest.
This area of Spain offers all modern amenities but has not been commercialized.

Relaxing holiday
Lovely little villa which was absolutely perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults plus two very tall older teenage boys). Extremely clean and well appointed. Very quiet and peaceful. A 30 minute drive from Cadiz but lovely beach much closer.

A welcome return to Cuba Libre
This was the second year in a row we have stayed at Cuba Libre and we were slightly concerned that it wouldn't be as good a holiday as our first. We needn't have worried as there is so much to do and see in the area and further afield (you will need a hire car to get to the villa and explore). The villa is totally brilliant for our family needs - amazing pool and BBQ area that we all love, secure high walls and gate that ensure our children are safely contained and we can relax. Peaceful and tranquil with only chirping birds and the occasional rooster. The villa is very clean with an extremely well equipped kitchen and lovely living room with a great TV with Sky channels. It's close to amazing beaches and lovely restaurants and we had great days and evenings out in Seville, Jerez and Cadiz. We love our holidays here and it will be hard to replicate the relaxing time we spend here anywhere else. We will be back again I am sure. Thanks to owner Berna for being on the end of a phone to cheerfully fix any small problem we have/had. I don't think anyone could ever regret booking this great villa.

Ten days in CƔdiz
Ten comfortable days in Cadiz in a house that without excessive luxuries ends up being very comfortable to be with the family. The wonderful porch and a functional barbecue and the pool are the best things in the house, although the hammock mats need a little maintenance. The rooms are the right size, the beds are comfortable and all have air conditioning, which ends up being necessary many nights. The kitchen can be the weak point of the house because the furniture is quite deteriorated. Finally, indicate that we were negatively surprised by the lack of cleanliness and the clutter of some areas as well as the fact that no one showed up at check-in or checkout.

Nice and pleasant stay
The whole property was quite clean. Relaxing and quiet place surrounded by other properties but the house was really tranquil. You could only hear the birds, cocks and dogs. The house was nicely fresh and all the rooms are provided with air conditioning system. The outdoor dining area next to the pool is quite pleasant and convenient. It is the perfect place to disconnect and relax. The owner was always attentive to our questions and requests.

Most Relaxing Holiday Ever!
We loved Cuba Libre, it was fantastic. Everything was clean and the villa very well equipped, with lovely fluffy towels, a great coffee machine / BBQ and a beautiful pool to name just a few things. The area was secluded, private and peaceful but was so close to beautiful beaches and lovely restaurants. We hired a car which was required and enjoyed visits to Cadiz, Jerez and the stunning Seville. Overall we loved our 2 weeks and hope to return!

Arrivati a notte fonda,abbiamo trovato abbastanza bene la villa con l'aiuto del navigatore,non c'era nessuno ad aspettarci, data l'ora tarda,comunque er tutto a posto.villa molto bella,piscina fantastica,perĆ² dobbiamo dire alcune cose:1 la famosa assistente Romina non l'abbiamo mai vista,2 la pulizia della villa sua all'interno che all'esterno non era fatta bene,3 c'erano formiche ovunque,dentro e fuori la casa 4 abbiamo cercato la sign.Romina perchĆ© l'ombrellone esterno era giĆ  rotto ( prima del nostro arrivo) poi vi ĆØ stata una incomprensione perchĆ© era la base che sorreggeca l ombrellone rotta.5 abbiamo chiesto invano asciugamani di ricambio ma non ci sono mai arrivati..COMUNQUE NONOSTANTE QUESTI INCONVENIENTI IL TEMPO E IL MARE MERAVIGLIOSO CI HANNO FATTO VIVERE UNA SPLENDIDA VACANZA.SPERIAMO CHE ALLA PROSSIMA LE CISE SI SISTEMINO.UN SALUTO ALLA ASSINTENTE "VIRTUALE" ROMINA

La casa es espaciosa y estĆ” muy bien equipada. La piscina exterior es estupenda, con sus hamacas, su ducha y todo lo que necesitas para pasar unos dĆ­as estupendos. Por ponerle alguna pega, el acceso en coche es por caminos de tierra y puede resultar un poco incĆ³modo. Pero la casa lo compensa.

Hemos pasado unas estupendas vacaciones en familia en cuba libre. El alojamiento dispone de todo lo necesario, incluso de trona y cuna para nuestro bebĆ©. Lo mejor del alojamiento es sin duda la piscina y la ubicaciĆ³n ya que se encuentra a pocos minutos en coche de diversas playas y centros urbanos.

Buena estancia
La casa es muy maja, cĆ³moda, todo en la misma planta. Mobiliario muy bien y cocina completa. EstĆ” muy bien cuidada. Zona ajardinada bonita y piscina muy chula, pero en dĆ­as de levante se ensucia muchĆ­simo. La casa estĆ” en una urbanizaciĆ³n pero no hay zona urbanizada, asĆ­ que sin coche es imposible ir. Eso sĆ­, el acceso desde la autopista es fĆ”cil y rĆ”pido y te permite moverte perfectamente para ir a cualquier zona de playa. La mĆ”s cercana, la Barrosa, estĆ” a unos 10 - 15 minutos. La entrada a la casa bien, nos dejaron la llave guardada y pudimos entrar cuando llegamos, eso sĆ­ como ya hemos dicho hizo levante y tuvimos que esperar a que viniesen a limpiar la piscina, aunque fueron muy rĆ”pidos. Un dĆ­a nos levantamos sin luz (toda la urbanizaciĆ³n) y es un problema porque al ser agua de pozo no funcionaba la bomba y no tenĆ­amos agua, aunque a las horas estaba solucionado (fue culpa de la compaƱƭa elĆ©ctrica. Lo que no me gustĆ³ fue que la persona que tenĆ­amos de contacto no se preocupĆ³ de si se habĆ­a resuelto la incidencia o no. En resumen, a pesar de algunos problemillas fue una estancia muy satisfactoria.

La descripciĆ³n y las fotografĆ­as responden por completo a la situaciĆ³n de la vivienda. EstĆ” dotada con todo lo necesario para unas vacaciones tranquilas y desconectar. Lovely stay
We enjoyed our stay at Cuba Libre very much. Particular plus points for us were the pool and the privacy and oleander bushes and jasmine of the pool area with the outdoor dining space. The windows have insect screens, which keep out the bugs very efficiently. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and eating in and there is air conditioning in each bedroom and the living room to make life comfortable. Berna was most helpful in providing all the information we needed as was Ross. A couple of minor things - it would have been helpful to have some instructions on the microwave as the markings on it had been almost obliterated but we worked it out in the end. It would have been good to have had a fitted bed sheet that actually fitted the mattress on the bed (it kept coming off in the night) and synthetic fabrics are not comfortable in the heat. Nothing to do with the property, itself but the number of barking dogs in the development is difficult to ignore. Having said this, we would be happy to return in the future.

Toller Aufenthalt in einer wunderschƶnen Villa mit Pool
Wir hatten einen wunderschƶnen Aufenthalt in der Villa. Alles war sauber und gut eingerichtet, auch die KĆ¼che war sehr gut ausgestattet, der Pool war traumhaft und gepflegt, Internet hat super funktioniert. Ruhige Umgebung. Wir kƶnnen diese Unterkunft absolut empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Hi, my name is Berna, I live in Ireland with my husband Charly, we both love Spain and speak the language. We spent 3 years searching for our ideal home in the sun and we bought villa Cuba Libre in 2006.
Our favourite city is Seville and we visit every year
usually for the Feria in April, to visit the sights to eat Tapas and drink the local brews Cruz Campo, manzanilla, Tierra Blanca wine.
We go to Jerez for the International Flamenco Festival in Feburary/March, the Feria of Horses in Jerez in May or The Wine Harvest Festival in September.
We love to spend time in Cuba Libre as it offers total relaxation.
We are very active and love to walk and cycle in the area (5 minutes) from the villa is Pinar de Hierro y Espartossa National Park.) We run and swim on La Barrosa Beach. We love to picnic on the beach at CaƱos de Mecca and El Palmar. A visit to the Roman Ruin at Bolonia is a must.
We go to the market of Chiclana and buy fresh locally grown vegetables, fresh fish and meat for the BBQ.
Great venta for traditional spanish food at very reasonable prices Venta Rufino, La Muela. We recommend Los Pescadores 1 and 3, great seafood.

Why they chose this property

We bought the villa which we named after our favourite drink, Cuba Libre (ingredients are: Cacique rum, CocaCola, drops of Angostura Bitters, juice of half a lime from the garden and ice). We added a pool and patio garden with a built in BBQ. We put in a Wood Burner which adds warmth and coziness to the villa during the winter.
It is in the perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax at the same time. Chiclana is only 5 minutes drive away. Easy access to Seville, Cadiz, Jerez and Malaga.
The village of Pago Del Humo has a range of bars/restaurants serving authentic food at very reasonable prices. It has a pharmacy, mini supermarket with daily fresh hot baked bread.
Lose yourself in Seville spend a day tasting delicious cheap tapas, finding unique shops and hidden treasures everywhere. The Andalusian capital has it all.
The Chiclana Fair begins with the holiday of San Antonio, 13 June, and forms one of the most important party dates in the Chiclana calendar. Andalusian tradition and spirit is everywhere: Flamenco and Sevillanas Music, food, sherry, the typical fair-dresses for women and men... for one week Chiclana will be partying day and night
Visit the beach of El Palmar and dine in Casa Francisco or Casa Juan, excellent fresh seafood served in both restaurants.
Visit the hilltop village of Vejer de la Frontera, dine in Enchanting, historic hotel El Califa, Moroccan decor, excellent restaurant with large courtyard garden, and rooftop terrace bar.

What makes this property unique

Cuba Libre is convenient to a magnificent coastline that stretches for miles with golden sand and promenades, the beaches are never crowded and you have the choice of the more commercial or the tranquil stretches of unspoiled coast. The nearest beach is La Barrosa about 10 minutes by car. Water sports are popular here Trafalgar Surf, in Conil can offer you lessons, equipment hire and general help on where to go for the best surf.
This relatively unspoiled area is where the Spanish choose to take their holidays.
We can supply pool towels, and a set of golf clubs so visitors can travel light. Please ask about the clubs before arriving. Cleaning during your stay, by arrangement - please ask.
