The villa is beautiful, well equipped, with fantastic views of mountains and sea. The pool with hydrotherapy jets a real pleasure to use.
What makes this place so special is not only villa itself, but the friendliness of the local people, the excellent food in local tavernas as incredibly low prices, but above all Ares, who will do everything to make sure you enjoy your stay, even taking on our dodgy car hire company on our behalf!
The villa is beautifully clean, with a mid stay clean included. What was delightful was that there were so many staples left in the larder, we had no need to buy oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, rice, pasta, tea, coffee, etc, and we were escorted to a mini-market on the way to the villa, late at night, to find milk and bread for the morning.
The track down to the villa does take a bit of getting used to, it is probably good it was pitch dark when we first arrived, so we did not see the ruts until later! Hopefully the local council will eventually do something about it, I understand it is not for want of asking. Don't let this put you off, just part of local Greece!
Try Edipsos Thermal Spa for mezze, spa waters and massages, Nea Lampsakos for those Shirley Valentine moments watching the sun set over the water whilst being served great seafood, and Steni for a mountain village lunch - just watch out for the unmade up roads.
Or don't leave the villa at all, the temptation is just to lie back and enjoy the views!
