Beautiful individually interior designed apartment with 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Located in what is considered one of the most outstanding developments in the Algarve. Set within mature pine, cork and almond trees and surrounded by orange groves it provides the most perfect holiday place. 9 hole par 3 golf course with superb club house, 6 swimming pools (2 heated), health club with Turkish bath, jacuzzi and indoor pool, 4 tennis courts, beautiful restaurant, bar, small supermarket. Shops all within easy access to the apartment. 10 minutes walk to the sandy beach, 5 minutes drive to Albufeira.

Great location
The spacious 2-bedroom apartment is situated right near the front of the complex near the reception. Very Good as it is close to the beach only a 10-minute walk but also means its the farthest point away from the golf corse (good 15min walk with clubs in the blazing sun). Couple of issues with the complex itself as tennis shuts during lunch and pay 14 euro for the hour to the exact minute. The indoor steam room not working and the jacuzzi was cold so 4 euros to use this and an extra 2 euro for mandatory swimming cap seemed excessive. Golf club house wasn't open due to renovations so take a cool bag with beers and water and 35 euro a day to play on the limited and busy 9 hole par 3 wasn't cheap. But a fun challenging course - bar the stag do 1 day and toilets being shut off due to renovations! Overall though the apartment itself was very nice, even had all the sports channels on tv. Really appreciate the flexibility in letting us stay until our late flight. The kitchen is very well equipped. There are plenty of pools so have a wander and find one that suits you although we found all the pools very cold. Lovely little cafe next to the spar shop on main road where we enjoyed a coffee each morning :) Would stay again - Thanks :)

Beautiful, comfortable apartment on a gorgeous complex. Everything was spotless and its like a home from home. Friede is a great host and very helpful. Location amazing, things to do for all the family. This is the 2nd time we have visited this apartment and would highly recommend.

L’appartement se trouve dans un complexe verdoyant et très bien entretenu. La location est conforme à l’annonce. Tout le nécessaire est présent. La piscine la plus proche est à moins de 30 secondes à pied. Elle est très belle et donne sur le restaurant du complexe qui est très agréable avec des prix raisonnables. Les piscines sont toutes aussi belles les unes que les autres. Le personnel est sympathique. La plage la plus proche est à 10 min à pied ce qui est un vrai plus. Nos adolescents se rendaient au strip en 20 à 25 minutes à pied. Nous n’avons presque pas utilisé la voiture ce qui est appréciable. Mon séjour était parfait. J’y retournerai sans hésiter.

Amazing stay
We have just returned from staying in the apartment for one week. It was a great size, as we were a family of 2 adults and 3 teenage children. Kitchen was well equipped to cook meals. 2 bathrooms were great with so many of us. Apartment is located at the front near the main road , but this is no problem as road not too busy and you cannot hear traffic at night at all once in the apartment. Location was great, so many swimming pools to choose from. Apartment located close to reception and main swimming pool. This was busy and you had to get there early for a sun lounger , however we were happy to lie in the grassy areas. And the other pools had sun loungers available at most times of the day. It’s a 10 minute walk to the local beach, which we visited a couple of times. We took the free bus a couple of times into Albufeira , which you just booked at reception. Staff on reception were friendly and really helpful. Myself and step daughter went on a 2 hour horse trek, at an English riding school, which was great and only a 20 minute walk from the golf village. It was great fun. The bar and restaurant located near main pool nearest reception had a buffet available each evening, which we did have one evening and was good and children enjoyed , bars and restaurants a 10 minute walk away , local large supermarket was 15 minute walk away . However two smaller ones just outside entrance of village, we purchased fresh bread daily for breakfast. All in all a great apartment, fantastic location, ideal for families with children.

Summer 2019
This is our 9th stay at Balaia. The property was in a good location close to the reception, shops and pools. However, in comparison to the accommodation we have used in the past, I do think It could perhaps benefit from some updating as there were a few cracked tiles and some skirting board unattached. Everything was in good working order, but because there were a lot of ornaments that hadn't been cleaned properly there was quite a lot of dust around. Sadly there also seemed to be some problems with the drainage right outside our apartment so there was often a rather unpleasant smell, although luckily this didn't seem to be too bad once inside the apartment. Balaia is a great place to stay though, so these little things did not stop us from having a lovely holiday with family and friends, just a few things that could be improved for future visitors.

Beautiful property and resort with all the comforts of home.
Lovely property. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. TV package with many channels to choose from and wi fi. Nice touch is a proper sofa and 2 arm chairs in the lounge. Some apartments only have a bench seat! Made to feel like a real home from home. Kitchen is equipped with all the utensils you could need. The resort is within walking distance of mimi markets and restaurants, whilst retaining a peaceful atmosphere. Would recommend absolutely. Fabulous.

Convenient location on a lovely complex
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It's so close to the main pool and cafe/bar that it means its very easy to nip back if something is forgotten. More space inside than I had anticipated and well kitted out, although a pair of oven gloves would have been a further help. Nice area outside to BBQ and dine, which is a little noisy due to the proximity of the road, but it really didnt intrude on our enjoyment and we rather enjoyed the entertainment of watching families having fun squeezing themselves and inflatables into the glass lifts of the hotel opposite! 3 great restaurants within walking distance- Martins, O'Assador and 3 Maria's (visited twice as such great value- recommend the trout) and the lovely sandy beach too. You are spoilt for choice with the different pools, but we didnt make it further than the main pool. No inflatables, only balls are permitted in the main pool (and not the others) whilst the guard is there, but it was a 'free for all' when not there, and the pool is large and deep but with a good sized shallow end too. We rarely were short of a lounger despite it being August. Great trip to Slide and Splash too which was an enjoyable full day only 30 mins away. We had a great stay and would recommend this accomodation.

A lovely apartment on a fantastic complex. The owner is very helpful and I highly recommend staying.
We have stayed in this apartment for the last 7 years and have enjoyed our stay there every time. The apartment is a perfect base to explore Portugal. It has everything that you need and is really well cared for. The owner is really helpful and very quick with any correspondence. Balaia Golf is beautiful with a selection of pools. My family and I love this apartment and that is why we will be going for 8th time next year.

Excellent apartment and resort
The apartment was lovely, nice and cool while hot outside and had everything we needed. The resort is excellent with some great pools to choose from and close to everything we needed. Nice beaches, shops and restaurants (recommend Martin's!) near by. Really enjoyed the apartment and location and would definitely recommend!

Beautiful apartment
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful apartment, close to all amenities and a short walk to the stunning beach. Balaia is such a lovely resort, 6 pools to choose from and beautiful tropical gardens. The owner was very helpful and went out of the way when we needed some assistance. The safe area next to the patio is was great for the children to play. It was truly one of our best holidays and we will definitely be coming again.

Beautiful apartment of the highest quality.
Fantastic apartment with all the modern conveiniences. Satelite TV, air con, dishwasher, washing machine and drier. Furnished to a very high standard by an owner who obviously loves this holiday home. It really feels like a home from home. Fixtures and fittings of a high standard. Baliai Golf Village is a grade A resort with many activities and beautiful grounds and pools. Will definitley return again. Excellent value for money.

A fantastic family holiday location
Just returned today from a fantastic holiday in Balaia. The apartment is well equipped and Friede has done everything to ensure a comfy stay. The location of the apartment is great. Yes, as a previous reviewer has stated it is close to the entrance of the park and therefore the road but this in my view does absolutely nothing to detract from the beauty of the apartment. With two young children the outdoor area, directly adjacent to the apartment was ideal. We spent most evenings relaxing on the patio and making use of the bbq - so completely disagree with the views of the previous reviewer. There are plenty of local restaurants offering take away options so with a young family this was once again very convenient. The nearest pool is less than a minutes walk and there is plenty going on in the day. A walk up to the top of the park and the club house is highly recommended - very picturesque. All in all a fab holiday.

The apartment was well equipped.
The location of the apartment was terrible, not only was it right beside a busy road there was a building site the other side of the road. It was not the relaxing holiday listening to drills while having lunch outside on the patio. Also I did not find the reception staff very helpful. The food in the restuarant was just about edible.

Our month in this lovely apartment was delightful. NIcely decorated, comfy beds, and all the conveniences at hand. Sunday dinner at the golf clubhouse is not to be missed. Great location for day trips. Owner and all the resort staff were attentive and helpful.

A beautiful apartment
This apartment is one of the best i have stayed at if not the best. Anything you think you need for a great relaxing holiday is here all the mod cons and more you'll need your own beach towels. It is pure luxury. It is uniquely furnished to a high standard.The restaurant on site is in a lovely position next to one of the many swimming pools and serve fantastic food and wide range on menu There is a well stocked supermarket only a short walk away with a cafe.The beach is a 20 min walk away but well worth the walk you can drive to it but have to go further. .

Exceeded expectations
Our stay at this apartment and the Balaia Golf Village far exceeded our expectations and that of the owner's description. The resort was an easy drive from Faro airport and is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful Algarve - the dramatic coastline and the unspoilt interior. The Golf Village is designed and maintained to the highest standards. It is an extremely attractive and tranquil place to take a stroll, a dip in one of the superb pools, or play a round of golf. The apartment is spacious, well-appointed and spotlessly clean with all the amenities and comforts of home. We were able to eat breakfast, lunch and, on occasion, dinner on the sunny patio even early in the season. The local food was reasonably priced and of good quality. Customer service was excellent at all stages, with the owner and on- site staff. We would recommend this property - it was an ideal place to relax but also to explore the many attractions of the Algarve. We particularly enjoyed walking along the local beaches but also enjoyed visiting historic towns such as Silves, Lagos and Alte. We will definitely return!

I live in England with my family and we love Portugal, it is a fantastic place to go for holidays. We bought the apartment in 2001 and spent many wonderful holidays there. It was my special wish to make the apartment as comfortable and luxurious as possible. Judging from all the feedback from my guests I must have achieved it. Everything was chosen with great love and care, no expense spared and the comfort of my guests in mind. Most apartments have only one sofa to sit on and then just chairs for everyone else. Here everyone has a very nice seat, that is surely what you want for your holiday.
Every time I have to leave I wish I could stay there, one day I just might.

Why they chose this property

The reason for buying this particular apartment was the safety for any children being there There is a large enclosed grassed area in the back with trees for shade and sun all day if you wish to sunbathe.
Reception and the little supermarket for morning bread are a 2 min walk, everything is so handy.

What makes this property unique

This is truly one of the best furnished apartments in Balaia with lots of very special features and comfort which only very few provide.
