About this property

Set in a beautiful south facing mountain valley, the villa is situated in the village of Fuilla du Bas and enjoys stunning views of Mount Canigou. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, this historic region has the best weather of Southern France.

Besides extensive year round outdoor pursuits, there is much to see and do locally, making this is a true 4 season holiday destination. The lovely market town of Prades, medieval fortified town of Villefranche de Conflent and the spa town of Vernet le Bains are all less than 10 minutes away. Further afield, the Mediterranean coast is 45 minutes distant. While in the winter a selection of ski resorts, including Pyrenees 2000, Les Angles and Font Romeu are only 40 minutes' drive away and there, even in summer, there is much to see and do. Also close by is scenic Northern Spain. A bit further on, but still easily doable as a day trip, is Andorra which has a huge range of tax free bargains. All in all, this is an area of great beauty and variety.

Lovely accomodation

Very nice house with all the equipment you needed to cook and live in. We enjoyed exploring the area and were grateful to our hosts information on where to go. The house is in a fairly rural area but not too far from supermarkets etc so was just what we wanted

Teveel geld voor erg veel achterstallig onderhoud

De locatie is super. Het huisje heeft heel veel achterstallig onderhoud, met name de badkamer dat kan echt niet meer. De bedden waren zeer slecht. Het zwembad was heerlijk en werd onderhouden de tuin daar wordt geen aandacht aan besteed. Het terras rondom het zwembad is zeer slecht en gevaarlijk de tegels liggen schots en schreef zijn kapot je je moet uitkijken dat jezelf niet bezeert. De keuken is verouderd maar compleet. Het lekkende water wat via de tuin naar de voorkant van het huis loopt gaat stinken. De foto's zoals op de website zo is het alleen deze foto's zijn denk ik van heel lang gelden.

Heerlijk verblijf in de prachtige Pyreneeën

We hebben een prima verblijf gehad in Fuilla. Het huis is comfortabel en het zwembad is heerlijk. Het is een prima uitval basis om de omgeving te verkennen. Er is veel te doen in de omgeving. De omgeving is prachtig.

Disappointed

The property is in a stunning mountain valley setting in a quiet semi rural village however it is very isolated and a car is essential to be able to access local amenities which are not within easy walking distance. Facilities and restaurants close early. We arrived on Sunday evening and all local shops and restaurants were closed. The villa itself was very dreary and badly in need of renovation and maintenance , I had to purchase personal towels, old out of date food and packaging . The garden needed maintenance especially around the pool with loose paving and uneven surfaces many health and safety issues, no pool lightning or alarm. The property was filthy dirty and I spent the first day of our long awaited holiday scrubbing and cleaning. I contacted the host and they denied there being any issues and was dismissive. The area itself is a beautiful location but you have to travel at least an hour to any coastal locations. Great if you are hiking or biking but not much else. Also the temperature was in the 30’s during our stay and without air conditioning we were unable to sleep at night especially as it was necessary to keep windows and shutters closed at night. I would never wish to return to this property and would not recommend it until these fundamental issues are rectified.

Haus mit Pool und toller Aussicht

Wir waren für zwei knapp zwei Wochen hier und haben die Zeit rundum genossen. Die besten Tipps haben wir von den House-Keepern bekommen: Wanderungen in die nahe gelegenen Berge, zu Höhlen und Thermen. Außerdem waren wir am Meer und in Perpignon. Und natürlich kann man die Tage auch sehr gut am Haus, auf der Terasse und am Pool mit wunderschönem Blick auf den Canigou verbringen. Sehr empfehlenswert =)

Logement propre, bien fournis en commodité et très bien situé pour qui veut découvrir le Conflent La documentation fournie permet aisément d’arriver et décrit à merveille les environs, à tel point qu’elle pourrait être reprise en l’état par l’office du tourisme. Je recommande vivement.

Heerlijk vakantiehuis met zwembad en tuin.

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in deze mooie villa. Ontzettend mooie omgeving die uitnodigde tot heerlijke wandelingen. De villa is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het was fijn om weer eens op een akoestische piano te spelen. De verzorgers van de villa waren erg aardig en gastvrij.

A perfect retreat

We enjoyed a very relaxing three weeks at Patricia’s villa, it is fully equipped with all you need for a short or longer stay. The pool is fantastic and although there were some issues with it when we first arrived these were very quickly rectified by Christophe, the villa manager who dropped by regularly to check on the pool (and to let us back into the villa after we inadvertently locked ourselves out!) The area is stunning with so much to do, Villefranche de Conflent and Vernet are both beautiful villages and there are a wealth of hiking trails locally. A car is necessary as Fuilla itself is very small with just one restaurant which is only open in the evenings on Friday and Saturday

On avait loué cette villa surtout pour la piscine et malheureusement il y a eu des algues moutardes, ce qui l'a rendu inutilisable. Malgré tout, toute la petite famille a passé un excellent séjour. La maison est bien équipée et la région superbe.

Nous avions loué cette maison surtout pour la piscine pour être au frais, malheureusement on nous a indiqué 4 h avant d'arriver que la piscine était inutilisable, celle-ci était infestée d'algues moutarde et ils n'ont pas pu récupérer sa couleur bleue de toute la semaine, deplus c'était juste la période canicule, la maison était très chaude , en plein soleil avec seulement 2 ou 3 ventilateurs qui n'étaient pas suffisants pour rafraichir, et sans pouvoir se baigner car il y avait certains risques d'infections.Ce n'est qu'à partir de 20h que tu peux ouvrir les volets et t'assoir à la terrasse, mais c'est alors que tous les insectes apparaissent et rentrent dans les chambres, donc les nuits n'étaient pas agréables, si tu ouvres insectes et si tu fermes chaleur. Par contre pour le reste, la maison est très bien équipée et la région est magnifique, nous l'aurions bien profité dans d'autres conditions, et dans une autre période, la propriétaire nous a quand même remboursé une petite partie.

Villa sans vis-à-vis

Nous avons passé notre séjour dans cette villa sans vis à vis, l’intérieur propre, très bonne accueil ,nous sommes tombés sur des voisins bruitants malheureusement, de plus il y a eu quelques problèmes avec la piscine à cause des algues mêmes si le gardien a fait tout sont possible pour remédier à cela l’eau est rester verte, merci a la propriétaire qui était très à l’écoute à part ces épisodes nous avons tout de même passé de bonne vacances en famille

Very nice holiday home in a wonderful environment

Nothing was missing here - we felt completely comfortable. The house has everything you need, the pool was perfect and the area a dream. There are activities for 10 weeks of vacation - small excursions or day trips, there is something for everyone. We'd love to come back.

Fijn verblijf

Het is een heerlijk huisje, wat gedateerd, maar dat paste er ook gewoon bij. Geweldige omgeving, prachtig uitzicht. Veel te doen en te zien in de omgeving. Heerlijk zwembad waar we veel gebruik van gemaakt hebben. We hebben een erg fijne vakantie gehad.

A successful vacation

For us (couple with dog) the house with land in the Pyrenees was ideal. Great location with many possibilities of excursions. We enjoyed the vacation very much. The landlady described and communicated everything extremely well. Christophe and Lianne supported on site if necessary. Highly recommend.

La Villa a vraiment respondu à nos attentes. Nous avons passé un mois extraordinaire dans cette maison bien équipée. Il ya tout ce qu´il faut pour vivre comme chez soi. Le calme, le jardin caché à la vue et mont Canigou qui donne une vue magnifique. On ne peut pas désirer plus que cela. Un grand merci à Christophe qui a répondu à totes nos questions et à Patricia pour le cadeau de vin à notre arrivée.

Séjour agréable

Très bon séjour, au calme et dans un environnement magnifique. Idéal pour des ballades à pied et des visites tant en montagne qu'à la mer. La maison est sympa, le jardin avec piscine également. Quelques petits détails à améliorer, comme la robinetterie de la cuisine et le ménage ( notamment les vitres !)

Lovely part of France

Amazing scenery and everything thought of in a homely and clean villa. Some amazing places to visit nearby by. Only one restaurant close by, that was open, but then the towns are only a 10min drive away. Fantastic food and wine. All of us had a lovely break x
