An outstanding new, fully furnished apartment available for rental in the exclusive Tas Sellum development in Mellieha in the north of Malta. The apartment is in a perfect location with a large terrace overlooking the pool and the open sea views behind. Its right by the sea and a 10 minute walk to the largest sandy beach on Malta: Ghadira Bay. The development is an exclusive haven of tranquility ideal for a relaxing holiday. Facilities available nearby, include a full range of water sports: water skiing, sailing, wind surfing, snorkelling and scuba diving. The sandy beach is ideal for children with a long gradual decline. Other facilities nearby, include Popeye's Village (used in the filming of the movie) and horse riding. There are many restaurants, bars and shops in the nearby villages of Mellieha and Bugibba. Imagine yourself sitting on the terrace watching the sun go down over the Mediterranean after a busy day relaxing by the pool. Perfect!

This location was perfect for our family holiday. A week was not long enough!

This apartment was perfect for our needs. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The pool was an added bonus on warm days. We were close to bus stops and the 15€ weekly bus ticket took us to many destinations. The boat cruises left from nearby which was handy also. The apartment itself was very roomy and had all the facilities and appliances we needed. Wifi was quite strong and we had no issues with communication. We loved our time here and would love to return.

Spacious and clean appartment at a beautiful, centrally located location.

The appartment is really nice and spacious. Perfectly clean. It's located just outside Mellieha Beach (15 min. walk) which is perfect for a relaxed stay. Biggest plus is the view on the water and balcony which is quite large. We've had a wonderful stay and would definately book this accomodation again. A couple of things which we would like to see changed are: 1) insect screen doors + windows because you have mosquitos which are now coming into the appartment. They have a really nasty sting. Other appartments do have them, but this one doesn't. This is a great miss. The other thing is the lightning. I guess this is something South European, but the lights are really white when switched on. I prefer a more yellow light. That is more comfortable to be in. With this bright white light it's like to you are sitting in a car showroom. Not cosy at all.

Fabulous!

Lovely location in a quiet, secure complex. The apartment was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The views were amazing from the balcony and the pool was lovely and never busy. Luna mini market was a short walk away as were the restaurants. The bus stop was also a short walk away making it easy to see the rest of the island. Would love to return!

Lovely location

Lovely location with the expected amenities. Short walk to a well stocked Luna mini mart and a great selection of restaurants. Buses made easy connections to Gozo and Valletta. Transfers with Adrian were great and Chris’s welcome and suggestions were the icing on the cake.

Der Ausblick ist traumhaft, die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und bietet viel Ruhe bzw. Erholung. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und bietet relatv viel Platz für eine fünfköpfige Familie. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für das Bett im Schlafzimmer, dessen Matratze nicht unseren hygienischen Anforderungen entsprach. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Objekt aber sehr zufrieden.

Great view and location

Second time staying in this comfortable apartment. End of May 3 years ago it was 20 °, this time a very hot 34°! Pool was still surprisingly cold (but the sea was warmer) but we appreciated it more this time! 15 mins lovely walk to the fab beach. Our teenage daughter loved to retreat from the heat midday and watch a bit of Netflix. Information pack very useful would add more of this info to your listing. Chris the manager was really helpful and quickly fixed the air con which although recently serviced had decided it didn't want to work in the mini heatwave!

Nice large place on quiet complex with lovely swimming pool. Short walk to all bus stops shops and bars. Chris who looks after the place was excellent in responding.

Sehr großzügige Anlage und Ausstattung mit riesigem Balkon. Es war nur etwas kühl im April. Da das Bussystem in malta sehr gut aufgestellt ist, braucht nicht unbedingt einen Mietwagen, auch ein kleiner Supermarkt st gut fußläufig erreichbar. Wir haben uns bestens erholt. Absolutely perfect in every way

The apartment was clean and tidy with everything we needed and location was perfect too. We would love to come back and stay again. The outside furniture could do with updating and maybe add a cupboard in the hall for guests sleeping on the sofa beds to put clothes. But loved every minute thanks you so much.

Superb apartment with stunning view

My wife and two kids (aged 9 & 10) had a wonderful time in this great apartment. The balcony is first class with view of the pool and the ocean. Stunning place for breakfast/evening drinks. Jonnna was prompt and detailed with all communications and she set up our transfers with Gino who was excellent. Chris met us on the day of arrival and was very friendly and helpful. Apartments is more spacious than photos indicate and double bedroom is very large. Twin room is small but perfect for the kids. Overall a really good apartment which is convenient (7mins!) to small supermarkets and plenty of restaurants. We loved it!!!

Lovely holiday

We had a lovely time at this property. The flat was well appointed and we had all we needed for cooking meals to enjoy on the balcony taking in the view of the bay and of the Red Tower in the distance. Walking into the local shops and to the bus was relatively easy as it is mostly flat although coming back it’s up hill to get to the front gate. There was suppose to be an information folder but it was missing. The manager, Chris, emailed a copy as promised when we realized it was missing. He met us at the apparent with some basics to get us started (bread, milk, eggs and a few other things) and he was very helpful. We did a lot of day trips from Mellieha which was easy with the local buses, and it is a good idea to catch one to the Centre of town unless you enjoy walking up the steep hill. As we were out so much we didn’t make the most of the pool, but we did get the occasional quick swim in. It’s a lovely pool and sun lounges are supplied in the flat to take down if you want to catch some sun. We had a lovely time and would recommend Mellieha and this property.

Lovely stay

Very nice apartment with 1 huge bedroom with very comfy large bed and one compact twin. Fantastic view. Pool a bit chilly which surprised us at end May but sea was warmer and lovely beach only 15 mins stroll away. Some great restaurants particularly One eighty only 10 mins stroll away too. Used JS Car Hire and they were sooo easy too although could easily manage just with the buses. What more could you want sun sea and sights.

Great apartment and balcony with a superb view over the pool and out to sea.

We really enjoyed our holiday at your apartment in Tas Sellum. Everything went well with the airport transfers and facilities in your apartment and the late check-out time was great as we almost had another full day to relax and pack! The location of your apartment in Phase 1, the view over the pool and out to the bay is the best we have had at Tas Sellum.

Very good.

The property is somewhat isolated but it’s benefit is that it is very quiet and relaxing and the onsite swimming pool is a bonus. Bus service is about .5 kilometres away so you do have access to public transportation. If you rent a vehicle there is onsite parking. The contents of the condo are somewhat dated but sufficient for a one or two week vacation.

Lovely apartment with a spectacualr view and position

I holidayed here for a week in October with my husband and 14 year old daughter. Everything went very smoothly from our pick up at the airport by the charming Gino to when he dropped us off again one week later to go home. The apartment is in a beautiful new development with gated security. The pool is lovely (although perhaps a little chilly for October bathing). The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed. Only minor glitches were that the kitchen tap leaked badly when turned on and the dishwasher door didn't open fully so could not be used, but these were very minor issues and did not impact on the holiday. Mellieha Bay is lovely with lots of handy supermarkets and restaurants/ cafes. We really enjoyed the Oh Yeah boating company where we did parasailing across Ghadira Bay, sea kayaking and a boat trip to Gozo and Comino. The weather was lovely and the sea was definitely warm enough for swimming. The local buses are good and I would not recommend hiring a car unless you are a very brave driver - the roads are extremely busy! Joanna the owner was exceptionally helpful and contactable. She even arranged for us to leave our luggage in the flat on the final day for much longer than normal as our flight was late in the evening. We really loved our Malta autumn break and would definitely consider going back. Alyson and Family, Scotland

Great location, very spacious, close to everything

We loved our stay at Ian‘s and Joanna’s place. Everything was well organized and exactly as described. Taxi pick up worked very well and the flat has anything you might need for your stay. They even provide Netflix (in English) and a good WIFI connection which works for streaming and surfing, however only in the living room and in the kids’ room. We used the washing machine and the dryer which was handy. The apartment is very safe and not far from a bus station from where you can go everywhere. The beach is in walking distance. Be aware that Mellieha is very steep so you might prefer to go up the hill by bus in order to reach shops and restaurants. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return anytime. Great apartment with fantastic view

A spacious apartment with fantastic views over the harbour. Everything you need is in the apartment. Secure and friendly complex. Plenty of bars/restaurants in walking distance. Would definitely stay again. Joanna made sure everything went well and she provided lots of information. She also responded to emails very quickly. Worth all 5 stars

Perfect base for exploring Malta and Gozo

We have just returned from a wonderful sunny holiday in Malta staying at this FANTASTIC apartment. The views from the balcony are stunning overlooking the bay. The apartment is equipped with everything you could need and more and it is well situated for exploring Malta and very handy for the ferry to Gozo. The owners were very helpful and provided information both about the apartment and Malta itself. The local village is within walking distance and has several nice restaurants, plus the beach is a short walk away. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to visit Malta and definitely hope to return one day.

Great apartment with a sea view

We stayed at this apartment in October for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On arrival we received a welcome pack with tea, coffee, bread, butter, eggs, and water. Spacious apartment with large balcony and sea view. Very quiet gated community with underground parking space. A 10 minute stroll to the beach. Bars and restaurants all within walking distance. If we come back to Malta we would definitely stay at this apartment. If you are visiting Malta we would highly recommend this apartment.

Excellent apartment in a quiet area

We really enjoyed our time staying here and didn’t feel that the photos of the apartment on the website did it justice! The apartment was clean, modern and spacious and is set in a lovely, quiet complex. There seemed to be some Maltese families living in the apartments or staying in them temporarily, with very polite children who played by the pool. The lounge area was very comfortable with a large sofa and coffee table. The kitchen had all cutlery and equipment we needed to prepare meals and the dining area was well presented. The main bedroom was very big and the bathroom is attached to this which was convenient for getting ready. There is a decent sized balcony with a wooden table and chairs for sitting out and we even sun bathed on sun loungers out there too. The complex has some rules including that no clothes or towels should be visibly hung on the balcony. This was not a problem since a low level drying rack was provided so you can still hang things out to dry. A washing machine and drying machine are provided in the main bathroom. The hot water is operated by a switch you need to put on in advance. This was a little bit inconvenient if you wanted a warm shower as soon as you get in but it’s not the end of the world! The apartment was well stocked with books and leaflets containing information about Malta and the owners are obviously very knowledgeable and keen to share their tips with guests via the apartment information provided. Additionally, there were a good number of DVDs in the apartment in case of a rainy day! The apartment has wifi although we found that the signal strength was not always strong, especially if you move away from the lounge area. Lightweight sun beds are provided which are comfortable and easy to carry, especially since there is a side door from the apartment, straight down to the pool. Melieha is a lovely place to stay but is not for the party-goer! We had some meals out, walked round the bay, sun bathed on the beach and by the pool and sat out on the peaceful balcony with a glass of wine - just what we wanted! There is a fairly steep hill up to the village but the bay is only a five minute walk from the apartment and has shops and restaurants. There are also frequent, air conditioned buses which will take you up the hill to the village for a couple of euros (or you can buy a travel card for cheaper travel). It’s an excellent location for trips all over Malta and Gozo.

A super week in your lovely apartment.

We have just returned from a week in your wonderful apartment. This was our first holiday in Malta and your apartment in the north of the island was perfect for us. The apartment was extremely clean and spacious, and very well equipped. The pool was superb and we spent many an hour sitting beside it. The balcony was also superb and we had our breakfast on the balcony overlooking the pool and the sea every morning. Our car hire worked well for us too, and we spent time out and about. The apartment is well placed to get everywhere on the island and we visited some of the many cultural and historical sites that Malta has to offer. My dealings with the owner of the apartment were always prompt and very courteous, and my very minor queries were answered quickly. We also very much appreciated the fact that we could access the apartment as soon as we arrived as the local manager had arranged for the apartment to be cleaned a bit earlier than normal. All in all a most enjoyable week and I would absolutely recommend this apartment to others. We will be back. Many thanks. Liz B

We are a British family living in Hampshire with 2 teenage children. My husband works for a computer software company and I work with horses. My husband was born in Malta, has a Maltese mother and spent every summer as a child holidaying in Malta with relatives.

As a family we spent most summers in Malta and then decided to invest in a holiday apartment in the island we could use and rent out the rest of the time.

Having sought advice from family, we decided to buy an apartment at Tas Sellum before they were completed, knowing the builder Tumas produces apartments to the highest standard of quality on the islands.

The north of Malta had always been my favourite part of the island to visit - the best beaches and so much more peaceful.
