About this property

Stunning Designer Built Villa with Private Pool and Sea Views

The villa is to an outstanding standard designed by the owners with the finest attention to detail in both aesthetic and functional characteristics. It is set in 2000 sq.m. landscaped exotic Mediterranean gardens at the edge of small, quiet, unspoilt village backing to the pine forest yet only 15km from lively Marmaris as a retreat with beauty and comfort for discerning individuals and families. It has wine and fragrant jasminium covered verandas for morning and afternoon shade with vernacular stone oven-BBQ and an outdoor sitting room under a bourganviella festooned stone arch overlooking the lush garden with the forested hills at the background. The furnishings are custom built by craftsman and exquisite, set in spacious, bright and cool rooms, each with beautiful views of the forest and the sea. Hisaronu is unique in the peninsula with its constant gentle, cool breeze and unspoilt real village atmosphere with authentic restaurants, corner shops and local produce market.

Our 4th stay in this low-key area of Turkey and what a treat the villa was. So stylish and sophisticated with outdoor areas for every need. The garden was out of this world, being an avid gardener myself I was overjoyed to walk around each morning taking in its splendour. Such a treat of a place. I’d return in a heartbeat…… I absolutely loved everything it had to offer including the very sociable Minik the villa’s cat. Many thanks for sharing this joyous place.

Villa Ayfer
We have just come back from a 2 week holiday at Ayfer’s villa. We have been to Turkey a few times and this is the most beautiful villa we have ever stayed in. The house itself is big and more than big enough for 6 of us. It has charm and every room is unique with its own collection of art and craft collected by Ayfer over years. It is also a working villa, comfortable and a fantastic kitchen equipped for the most keen cook. There are so many different seating areas for everyone to have their own space. The garden/pool area is sublime. Flowers, shrubs shady seating areas and the most fantastic pool which has the sun all day, deep enough to dive and big enough to swim lengths. This is NOT your usual holiday villa, it’s very special. The area is very rural and secluded, not overlooked or touristy at all. We drove back to this little bit of heaven very quickly after a trip to Marmaris which we found very touristy and grim. We had our teenagers with us and it was very quiet for them. They would have enjoyed a bar walking distance, there is nothing. We had a car and explored the area thoroughly. We found it difficult to find a decent beach and they are very polluted with rubbish and plastic waste. Ayfer gave us a list of secluded beaches which were lovely But the villa more than made up for it. I can’t recommend the villa enough. A car is a must and don’t try and find it on the dark. Thank you for having us Ayfer ,

Nice place needs some me work
The house is in a nice location. It has a lovely garden with a large pool. Unfortunately the pool needs refurbishing as it has seen better days. The style of the house is old fashioned which includes the bathrooms and the kitchen. Think 1980's decor. Only 3 of the 4 bedrooms have aircon and the 4th needs it desperately. The lounge has no aircon so I was unable to use it.

A truly peaceful villa holiday
The house is well proportioned with plenty of living space inside for a large group and there were many places outside for all of us to gather, or for each person to have some quiet time. The gardens are stunning, the host very helpful, and we particularly loved the absence of any signs telling you what you could and couldn't do! The villa location is great, as it is at the quiet end at the edge of the village and is not overlooked at all. We walked to collect bread every day but in the summer heat we drove to the shops, sea and restaurants which were all close by. Highly recommended - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Huge villa in beautiful gardens
We wanted somewhere away from the over-developed resorts to comfortably accomodate 5 adults for 10 days and Villa Ayfer was perfect for us. This isnt some anonymous holiday rental - you know you are sharing in the decades of love and attention Ayfer has put into this villa. It felt like a home from home. Whilst the house is spacious and homely, you dont actually spend much time in it as the outside spaces, pool area and surrounding gardens are so wonderful. The villa is above the village of Hisaronu. You need a car to explore the amazing countryside and rugged coastline. As other reviewers have said, finding it in the dark can be challenging the first time - so make sure you have clear directions and have reviewed Google maps properly if you plan on arriving after sundown! There are a couple of small supermarkets within 5 mins drive and a bakery less than 5 mins walk down the hill. The kitchen is wll equipped if you want to cook your own meals - we ate out most lunchtimes and every evening. There is a wide variety of places to eat from cheap 'pide' restaurants to more upmarket beach-side restaurants. Ayfer was on hand to provide lots of useful advice and tips on where to go. We loved driving out to Selimiye but the best day we had was a full day boat trip on Mehmet's boat 'Moonlight' (Moonlight4848 on Instagram, he speaks English) Mehmet looked after us all day, taking us to some beautiful coves. I strongly recommend him.

Glorious
Smitten by the beautiful house, in particular the garden where we spent so much of our time by the perfect-for-diving pool, amongst the lantana, oleander and seas of pale blue plumbago. We loved the chorus of sounds across the valley and the considered spots around the house and garden, to be together, read in peace, in the heat or shade, watch the sun rise, and set. Very much hope to return.

Fantastic sanctuary
We had a great week in this superb property. Hisaronu is a very quiet village but there is a local shop and bakery within a short walk and many restaurants and bigger markets within a 5-10 minute drive The interior of the house is very stylish. There are several outdoor terraces for evening meals and drinks. Our children are 14 and 16 and enjoyed the tranquility but if you have older teenagers looking for nightlife then this would require driving to Icmeler which is about 30 mins away We would definitely like to stay again.

Heaven in Hisaronu
An absolutely lovely villa that photographs cannot possible do justice to. Outside, the stunning gardens are scented with clouds of fragrant jasmine and are full of colourful and exotic plants. Real thought has gone into the design and planting so that you feel like you are stepping into a botanic paradise. The villa itself is a home, not a sterile holiday rental. There is real love here and the spirit of the place is enhanced by thoughtful design. Not just the furnishings and equipment but the clever layout, lighting and overall quality of finish is exceptional. The pool is utterly fabulous. Long enough to swim, deep enough to dive and situated on a peaceful, private, secluded terrace that is full of flora. There are Ayfer has created a little piece of paradise and we are grateful to her for allowing us to share it.

Beautiful tranquil villa
We had a wonderful holiday in this villa, the rustic style is lovely with loads of interesting pictures and artefacts, lots of space and handy things in the kitchen. The outdoor space is also great with lots of different areas to sit and take in the view, to eat and relax. The pool is amazing, good size and surrounded by flowers and trees, only downside for us was that the shallow end was too deep for our daughter (4y) to touch the bottom but sorted with armbands! The setting is beautiful with views across a wooded valley and its really tranquil without feeling isolated - it's in a small village and a bakery within walking distance where you can get fresh warm bread for breakfast. We spent a lot of time just relaxing in the villa during our stay, but also great to have a car so you can explore the area around. Highly recommended, I'd love to come back. Only downside as others have said is that it's tricky to find until you get your bearings of the area - we were very glad to be taken there by local taxi who knew the area. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay with recommendations for taxis and car hire etc as well as tips on nice places to visit while we were there.

Glorious quiet hideaway villa.
A unique villa built into the hillside in quiet village, furnished with beautiful Turkish rugs, traditional copper pans, colourful pottery tiles, brimming with personal objects, including a piano, making it feel very homely and a very friendly cat. Delightful garden with plants cascading down from one terrace to the next until you reach the utterly private swimming pool. Wonderfully quiet, just birdsong and of course calls from the Mosque at prayer time. Pretty terraces beside the house, with built in stone BBQ just outside kitchen and beside it 2 large sofas and stone table for outdoor meals. Any window gives lovely view of the garden. 10 mins. by car to the beach. Ayfer always available on the phone to fix any problems. This villa will appeal to anyone who likes the traditional. We loved it. Plumbing slightly quirky but endless supply of hot water. Steep road up to drive, best to arrive in daylight to find the villa.

A wonderful wonderful house in a beautiful, peaceful location
Apart from the slight challenge of finding the house first time .. everything about it was lovely. The house has so many different places to sit .. morning on the first floor balcony with views over the sea; breakfast at the little table in the shade outside the kitchen window, lunch at the long table on the other side of the kitchen looking out over the extraordinary gardens cascading down to the pool; afternoons by the pool (which we shared, very amicably, with a few, very non-confrontational and friendly bees - who, like us, seemed to love the gorgeous flowers which were everywhere), evening meals again at the long table under the pergola of vines, late night chats at the loungers by the (unused - more than warm enough for us) fireplace in the garden; then to bed in the amazing master bedroom with four poster and views down the room through the windows to the distant (an easy 1km walk) sea. A house we'd love to go back to. Everything one could ask in a luxury villa.

This is a really lovely house where we have now returned three times.
Yet again we had a lovely stay at Villa Ayfer, this year with an even bigger and better area for outside dining and BBQ. The property is very close to the newly opened Carian Way walk which is well worth exploring. We very much hope to return to this idyllic spot yet again.

An idyllic property
We have just returned from holidaying for the second year in a row in Ayfer's beautiful house. For us - a family of five with children aged 21, 18 and 14, it provided the perfect holiday, which is why we returned. I hope that we will be able to come back many times in the future. The location is spot on - slightly off the beaten track, and therefore peaceful and away from the bustle of Marmaris, but also within easy reach of all that Marmaris has to offer. It is also close to some truly wonderful beaches (with opportunities for catamaran sailing very close by) some lovely seaside villages, boat trips and delicious fish restaurants. There is also some spectacular culture within easy reach, including ancient Greek cities like Knidos (a sunset trip is a must) and Lycian rock tombs in Dalyan. But what makes it all so special is that the house itself, with its beautiful garden and pool, is a really lovely place just to be if you don't feel like going anywhere at all!

A gem
This was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed - a really beautiful house in a lovely area, and we really could not have asked for more. The owner was incredibly helpful and hospitable - even from a distance - helping us, for example, repair a flat tyre with local assistance. This kind of thing made us feel truly well looked after and was a real bonus on top of staying in such a lovely place. Highly recommended.

I loved this villa
Stayed here with family (Crosse family) last July 2014- this villa exceeded expectation - quite remote but the wrought iron gates open into the most wonderful villa and gardens - so peaceful with so many places to sit and relax - the interior of the villa is inspirational and tastefully done. The pool surrounded by pots of agapanthus flowers and various types of cactus was so inviting to walk down to every morning - there was the occasional bee - but best ignored - they never bothered us! - The local people in nearby village were always welcoming - i would love to return one day.

Lovely villa in beautiful surroundings
We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at your villa. It really is a special place and fell in love with it from the moment we arrived. We have now got some very happy memories and hope that we may get a chance to come back again. We all loved Minik and miss her as well as your beautiful home. The pool and landscaped gardens were lovely. Everything was perfect....please don't let anyone else know about it ;-)) - it's a special secret that we don't want to share with anyone ;-)

Bees
Such a lovely villa. A bit out of the way but nice. There were flowers all around the garden but they attracted bees. Not just one or two but hundreds. We couldn't use the pool, we tried twice but were chased by bees. The pool surface was covered in dead and live bees. I would say around a 100 or so. The pool shower was inaccessible as the bush which I guess should have been next to it, surrounded it along with the bees. If you like bees you will be in heaven there. The pool was cleaned a handful of times by the gardener but that wasn't enough. The pathways are so overgrown you have to get out of the villa through the swarms. Such a shame. The villa was cleaned once during the two week visit which really wasn't enough. One day we had to wrap up to get through the bees swarming around the flowers on the exit pathway to the drive. We couldn't use the outside at all and was so looking forward to using the BBQ. There is a beautiful outside eating area Such a shame. Beautiful area with lovely views. You could sit on the upstairs balcony without too much trouble from bees. Ayfer was really good and sorted any problems we had. The local beach was very nice and Zara who runs the restaurant was lovely with fresh foods. No taxi company nearby, only the airport transfer we used and he is expensive. Charged 40 lira return to go to beach. It was about 2 miles. Such a shame for such a nice villa to be stuck inside. There is a resident cat which we were unaware of until we arrived. She is lovely but left a nice parcel on the rug one morning.

I am an UK trained landscape designer and live between UK, Istanbul and Hisaronu. We spent many family holidays in the villa not only for the sun and the sea but beautiful fresh early spring with an abundance of wild flowers as well as calm and quiet pleasantly hot extended summers well into late autumn. I wanted to share the pleasures of this unspoilt peninsula in a beautiful setting with discerning guests.

Why they chose this property

I love in this area the way pine cladded forests descend right into the water, reflecting on clear turquoise waters creating beautiful sceneries with layers of mountains as the backdrop. There are several small authentic fishing villages on the peninsula with waterfront restaurants, cafes serving delicious home made Turkish cuisine at very reasonable prices as well as sophisticated marinas with exquisite international cuisine. Village people are friendly and welcoming and treat the villa guests as their own and want them to leave with happy memories and a good impression of the country. Weekly local market is good for shopping for local produce and gifts.

What makes this property unique

There is something for everybody, quiet beaches as well as aqua parks, water sports and riding centres, in lively Marmaris shops, restaurants, bars and cafes...All the time a peaceful, quiet cool villa to return to and chill out in a unique, tastefully refurbished, private, authentic villa complimented with all the modern comforts.
