Such a nice stay at this beautiful home. We (5 adults) stayed for a week of skiing at Taos and relaxing in the high desert and this place was perfect. Quick access to the ski valley, easy drive into town, tons of space for us to spread out, and a big well-stocked kitchen to cook in.
Also - the house has absolutely stunning views of the surrounding desert and mountains. It’s located at the edge of a sparse neighborhood, so looking south you have a basically unobstructed view and tons of privacy. Sitting out in the gazebo watching the sunset was bliss.
Would highly recommend this house.
We had a great stay! The house is beautiful and spacious. They had everything you could want at the house. The radiant heat floors and the hot tub were a hit :) So quiet and the place was spotless. Perfect for our family of 6 . Very easy to get to the Taos ski valley too. Great communication!
This house is better and bigger in person than in the pictures. The kitchen has everything you might need and the sunset views from the west side of the house are breathtaking.
It’s a 30 minute drive to ski Taos and a 45 minute drive to ski Sipapu - our family did both.
The home accommodated three adult couples very comfortably. It was clean, had a well equipped kitchen that we used a lot. The hot tub worked well. The outside areas had great views that were nice to gather in. But we did note that the gazebo needs some TLC and upgrade to furniture and cushions. (We had to clean a lot of old bird poop off the cushions before using.)
Overall we had a great vacation with lots of nearby hikes and fun in Taos. A truly beautiful part of the country.
Spacious, peaceful, well-appointed home a short drive from the center of Taos with splendid 360 views. Loved the decor, gardens/outdoor seating, and personal touches.
I am tempted not to be too effusive because I don't want it to be booked up when I next want to return. This lovely property has care and impeccable beauty in every corner. The host, Sunita, was easy to work with and communicate with. The house manager, Allegra not only had the house in beautiful shape, but also kindly went above and beyond to help us retrieve and ship a cell phone that had been left by accident. My first thought was that it would be beautiful in any season. We had two family members in their 80's, and three daughters from 17-25. The well appointed communal open kitchen made for fun cooking together and the comfortable living area for cozy movie night. The outdoor spaces invited us to enjoy the stunning mountain vistas in the day and the twinkling distant bracelet of night lights of Taos.
Our group had a fabulous stay at Sunita’s house. The weather at TSV was stormy Mon-Wed, lots of fresh snow. Which required liberal use of the excellent Hot Tub. All arrangements were made online, and the several phone calls I made to Sunita were promptly answered and satisfactory accommodations were arranged. The house is fabulous, stone floors, rugs, google music, well stocked kitchen and pantry, and very comfortable beds. Thank you Sunita for a very memorable vacation!
My wife and kids stayed at this property for our ski vacation to Taos Ski Valley. The house was perfect for our stay. We were looking to stay closer to Taos rather than be up on the mountain. This house was less than 10 minutes to downtown Taos and many great restaurants and only 25 minutes to the ski valley which worked out perfect. The views from the house are wide open and there are several outside seating areas and you aren't too close to neighbors, so you feel secluded. Plus the hot tub is a very nice way to end the day. The bedrooms worked out great with each of my 3 kids having their own bedroom plus my wife and I having the master suite. This house would actually work for two families with kids to stay in comfortably as well. The house was clean and everything with the stay went smooth. Would definitely look to stay here again if we are in the area.
We are a group of elderly professional artists who meet annually to paint together somewhere in the West. We were delighted with the accommodations and the Taos area. Everyone wants to return next year!
This is probably the nicest VRBO I've ever rented. The house is absolutely beautiful and so are the professionally-landscaped grounds. I went with several friends and a couple of almost- teenage girls and we had a wonderful time. We liked the house so much that we'd spend a few hours in town and then come back so we could enjoy the patio and the views. I hadn't really cared for the Blueberry Hill area - or so I thought. Now I'd consider living there. The roads were great for walking or cycling, and you're not far from town, restaurants, etc. The photos don't do it justice. We all want to come back. The owner and housekeeper are both very helpful, too. Just go! You won't regret it!
The house and views are amazing and the location can’t be beat . Easy access to Taos ski alley and the the town. Enjoyed sledding nearby and hiking the Rio Grande. Also wonderful to just sit outside and read with amazing views all around. House was well stocked with towels and games and all things needed.
Definitely recommend.
Great property and location. Well appointed. 5 stars. Would stay again in summer or winter.
Only negatives. No live TV, but strong internet for streaming. A lot of lights were burned out, but they probably would have changed them if I had called. The property manager contacted me before I arrived to let me know she was available if needed.
I can't imagine a more beautiful house to stay in while in Taos. Clean, spacious, wonderful art throughout the house. The kitchen is very well stocked. We cooked all our meals there for 7 days. The views are stunning and the outside area is filled with furniture to be able to enjoy it all. Although we didn't meet Sunita, the owner, her love abounds in this house. We felt very nurtured while being on the edge of sacred tribal land. Will definitely be back.

Warm and creative
Beautiful warm and welcoming home with lots of outdoor spaces, lovely gardens, creative art indoors, comfortable spaces for gathering and set in a field of sage. The kitchen was adequately equipped though another chair in the kitchen would be helpful. The layout was wonderful for a group of couples, and we enjoyed coming back to it after a busy day exploring.

Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, & easy!
For me, it is always a little nerve racking booking a rental, as the pictures and descriptions do not always match! You have to go on trust! From the moment of booking this rental, we received several email communications to provide pertinent information for our stay! It immediately set some of my fears at ease because of the professionalism and courtesy of not only the grounds keeper/contact for the property and host, but also the owner. We knew exactly what to expect upon arriving, the process of checking in, etc. before we ever began the drive to our destination! One thing we did not expect was the pictures did not do this property justice! We were more than pleasantly surprised upon arrival! We had everything we needed & more! The home is beautiful and comfortable, as well as very spacious! There is a booklet of important information (TV, hot tub, & home care expectations!) available to ensure the ease of your stay! No second guessing!!! It also has recommended restaurants and shops! Definitely not disappointed with our stay. Just wish it was longer!! You will be glad you stayed here!

A wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving
My family and I had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving at this beautiful home. It's a pretty as the pictures show it to be with nice views of the mesa and the mountains. The kitchen was well stocked and the home was decorated in a way that you felt like you were in someone's home rather than just a rental property. My wife wants to buy the place.

peaceful taos home
My family and I were completely at ease in this home. It was very comfortable and welcoming, with a great layout for the 7 of us. The location and views were amazing. There is great outdoor space, including landscaping and plenty of chairs to curl up on and read, have cocktails, or a casual meal. Taos' was an easy 15 minte drive with several fun restaurants and shops. Taos pueblo is a must see, while paddle boarding or rafting on the river was the second best. The owner was attentive and very helpful. I would certainly reccomend this house to anyone who wants to get away from it all, yet be close to other attractions.

Taos House for a month long stay off season
We made it in time for my husband to boot pack up Wheeler Peak for one ski down! The house is in a great location, a short drive to town and Cid's Market and Taos Ski Valley as well as other must see places. Our family stayed for a month and having a hot tub under the wide open sky at night was spectacular. The mountain and mesa vistas are stunning. The house is well-appointed and the caretaker is very attentive. We stayed with our family of 5 plus 2 caregivers and we had plenty of room.
We created a very long lists of musts while staying in El Prado. Taos Mesa Brewery, Rio Grande Gorge, Black Rock Hot Springs, day trip to Santa Fe and Ojo Caliente, Arroyo Seco for Taos Cow Ice Cream, Angel Fire for crazy mountain biking, Eagles Nest Lake, Red River, Wild Rivers National Monument. If you have time Tent Rocks!

About the host
Hosted by Sunita Viswanath
Stephan and Sunita live in Brooklyn, NY with their three sons. They have been coming to Taos during the summers for the past 7 years, and will continue to do so. Sunita works in women's rights and Stephan is a business owner and a graduate student in philosophy. They have spent their summers reading and studying, and also exploring the local hikes, hot springs, excellent restaurants and cultural offerings. Sunita particularly loves visiting the local Hanuman Temple.
Why they chose this property
This house borders such a huge expanse of Pueblo land which will not be developed, resulting in spectacular unobstructed views. Whether you hope to spend time in the center of Taos or visit the Taos Ski Valley, our home is perfectly situated.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love most of all with the views, the patio and backyard, and the lovely flow of the house.
