Amazing House Right On The Hiawassee River

Come relax in privacy! 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath. Made for couples or families! Enjoy the Master bedroom on the main floor with a luxurious master bath. The main floor has an open concept kitchen/dining/livingroom. Hardwood floors throughout the home. One guest room has a queen sized bed with the other boasting bunk beds (twin over twin and twin over full). Bring the kids and enjoy kayaking, fishing or just floating in the provided tubes at the house. You can also enjoy the screened in porch with a cozy fire. There is also an open air deck great for watching the sun set.

Enjoy fishing right from the bank in the back yard! Guests have asked, yes, there is year round water to enjoy. River is great for Kayaking, tubing, fishing or just walk down the amazing steps right into the river for a cool off. Owner can recommend fishing guide services or transport for tubing fun to end your journey at the house.

This riverfront home has a fully stocked kitchen, linens provided and games to play. Can Jam, Horseshoes, ring toss, a pool table to enjoy during your stay. You won't want to leave the property. End your relaxing day around the firepit and roast some marshmallows.

Our riverfront home is located halfway between Murphy and Hayesville, North Carolina (Just 2 Hours North Of Atlanta!) in the Smoky Mountains. Other nearby attractions include Brasstown Valley Resort and Golf (only 10 miles away), Fires Creek (wilderness area), Shooting Creek, Elf, and Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee is only 10 minutes away. Helen, GA is a short 30 minutes away. You can also enjoy the most amazing white water rafting in the area. (1996 Olympics were held on the Ocoee River)-30 minutes away.

Always a pleasure

We have stayed at this property multiple times as well as others in Hayesville. This is by far and away our favorite. It is perfectly situated, we caught the biggest trout we’ve ever caught right in the backyard, and there is plenty of room for our 4 kids (7yrs-17yrs) to have their own space. Thanks, Dana!

Outstanding find

The scenery was beautiful! The beds where amazing. The outdoor seating area is where we all wanted to stay when we weren’t lounging in the river. We had to message the owner about a question and she text right back. The ride to and from the house was a bit of a doozy. Take your time. 2 from our group go car sick coming down the road from the house. Cell service was a little spotty. Other than that everyone had the best most relaxing time. I highly recommended. We are hoping to come back next year.

Peace on the River!

This home is in the sweet spot! Privacy and seclusion with convenience. Very close to parks along the river (Cool Park just down steam) if you want to put in and kayak or tube. Pay attention to the generation schedule and you’re good to go. More than enough Dollar Generals for the basic quick grabs and larger grocery stores like Ingles ten minutes away. The home was clean and well equipped with all we needed. Wonderful views and plenty of outdoor seating for socializing. Our host was easily available by text if we needed. Really a wonderful place to take in God’s Handy Work.

Peace and Quiet

Unplug and enjoy the sites, sounds (or lack of), and atmosphere of this home right on the river. Fishing was great! Ease of access to the water was a dream! Huge backyard that is flat for my daughter to run around. Spent most of the time either fishing or relaxing by a fire on the screened in porch. If you are looking for seclusion this is the place. Slow down and simply soak in all of Mother Nature.

Great location

Great location very close to grocery store and restaurants. The house and property were very nice and accommodating. Parking my large truck was a little challenging as you have to back down a steep hill if you want to be close to the entry. I got used to it after a few times. Really enjoyed the screened in patio and that’s where I spent most of my time there.

Spring Break!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful. Does show some wear and tear but the view is amazing. The beds are comfortable and the house has everything you need. The road driving up is steep so be prepared. There are some paved areas as well as gravel may not be for faint of heart. We would definitely rent from here again.

Beautiful location

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend, and we just loved it. It is a peaceful spot at the end of the road, and the river surrounded by fall trees was gorgeous! We especially enjoyed the screened porch area with the fireplace—so cozy. One thing to be aware of is that the drive from the entrance—the Hidden River gate—to the house can be a little challenging in places. We were glad we had 4WD. The house is lovely and the location is fantastic—we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Location

We enjoyed our stay in the mountains at this VRBO. It is a really cool home. We were not aware prior to arrival that the dam released into the river daily. This information would have been more helpful upfront. The river schedule did NOT allow for as much tubing and fishing as we expected. We did find things to do in the area instead of tubing and fishing. All in all, it was a great trip!

Perfect for whole family!

We had a fantastic trip, and will absolutely be back! Only challenge would be if someone struggles with stairs. There are two flights to get from ground level to river level—having a hiking stick handy for the outdoor set of steps would be a great idea since there isn’t a handrail there. We had ages 1 to 71, and everyone found what they needed in this home. The screened porch was our favorite spot, especially in the mornings and evenings.

Away from it all and yet so close to all that you need, and fun for all ages,lots of wild life

Tranquility by the river

Beautiful house by the river in the woods. We enjoyed the sound of the rushing river, seeing deers in the neighborhood and have absolute privacy. The property may be a little too remote for some. The place was clean, kitchen well equipped and plenty of space. The kids enjoyed playing pool and walking in the river. Adult supervision is required at all times, since the rocks are slippery and the river could carry large pieces of wood. The covered patio is so nice to hang out and drink your morning coffee while listening to the sound of nature. Loved every minute of our stay.

Best vacation home EVER!

Let me start with saying I do white glove test whenever we rent vacation homes. This home is extremely clean and organized perfectly! You literally don’t need anything! Pots and pans are new, everything you have at your home you’ll have here. Location is on perfect location! It’s up on the mountain in the woods with beautiful Hiawassee river in the front! Just be careful when you are parking, this home is all the way in the back of the neighborhood. I advise backing up and parking on the road next to the house, don’t go down to garage. Bed was like a cloud! Never had better sleep! You can hear rushing river and I saw beautiful stars at night right from my bed, it looks like you are sleeping under starts! Loved soaking tub I have definitely enjoyed it! In the shower there is a little window you can look at sunset while taking shower! I’ve been in many states and all over Europe and this home is hands down the best #1!! Dana was amazing! She answered every question right away. I cannot recommend this home enough! It’s in private gated neighborhood and full of deers, geese, beavers! My kids loved it, was heavenly!!! We enjoyed making s’mores and chilling next to river! There was no need to go anywhere from this place! Quiet honestly I felt sad leaving it! Thank you Dana for your hospitality ❤️

My husband and I have 1 son and as we moved with the military I always said we moved as a Pack Of Three. We also come to the property for the relaxation and seclusion 8-10 times a year.
