3 Bedroom Detached House Converted from Stables Overlooking Sandy Beach
The village of Mundesley is an excellent location for a seaside holiday. It has a wonderful wide beach backed by a small promenade and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some may enjoy a dip in the sea or perhaps just the chance to relax and enjoy the view, whilst children will love to play on the golden sands.
The close proximity of Gig House to the beach makes it an ideal safe location for family holidays. Mundesley is a traditional English seaside village popular with day trippers and holidaymakers alike, without being too busy. The wide sandy beach ensures Mundesley is not overcrowded even during the summer months. Mundesley is an ideal base for long walks along the coast all year round.
The house was originally constructed in the early 1840's using traditional materials; brick, flint and lime plaster. The flint and lime plaster is 'breathable' which allows moisture to enter the walls, which may mean uneven / flaking lime plasterwork from time to time.
The ground floor Bi-fold doors open up the house to a decking area overlooking the beach. The first floor Bi-fold doors allow access to an elevated balcony with fantastic views out to sea.

What a outstanding location.
Sitting with a morning coffee watching the sunrise.
Photographs dont do this property justice,
A comfortable seating area, huge dining area and well stocked spacious kitchen, amazing utility area to store coats and boots, and everything we could need if we were staying in the summer, for a day at the beach, which is at the bottom of our terrace.
The bed rooms were well appointed and incredibly comfortable
A clean well looked after property, with lovely touches
Christmas 2022, was a lovely family get together at Gig House
Thank you Margaret and Ian xx
Good. Location fantastic. Heating rad on landing and Bathroom not working .After using wood burner the room smelt smoky maybe the flew needs sweeping? It would be a good idea to put coat hooks in the boiler room to dry out clothes when you come in from a walk on the beach in the Winter. As we find our selves in lockdown a bit of decoration in the kitchen would be a good idea.Having made these surgestions we had a great time many thanks Margaret .Have a great Xmas New Year Stay safe. Kind Regards Michael, Brenda Molly (Dog)
Lovely property ideal location. Easy access to the beach went to sleep every night to the sound of the waves. I slept in the bedroom with a balcony so lovely view to wake up to. Beds really comfortable. Lovely relaxing week. Pub very close very good food, dogs welcome too. Highly recommend.
The property is well maintained and equipped and made a good base for our week in North Norfolk. Sadly April was a bit too early to make the most of the easy beach access but did make for some bracing walks. Would stay here again.
Must have very good as we are going back, from the 31st Oct to the 6th Nov 2020. COVID willing?
As it said on the label, Margret and the lady that cleaned the property which was more work than normal dew to COVID 19 made us feel all had been done to make us feel as safe as possible. We never tired of looking at the sea from the house.Molly dog had a great time on the beach.
From the approach to the property the view and the sound of the waves took our breath away. We had an amazing week in this beautiful cottage. Very relaxing, catered for all our needs. Would happily stay again.
Had a great relaxing stay at Gig House. All rooms are spacious and well maintained. Located very close to the beach with views over the North Sea made this Christmas special for the family, we didn't partake in the Mundesley Boxing Day swim although we did go and watch, it looked great fun but too cold for us. The house has good WiFi and TV reception with some sky channels. The kitchen is very well equipped and modern. The log burner in the lounge made the stay very comfortable and relaxing. overall a 5 star stay and experience. Thank you Margret.
A comfortable cottage in the heart of Mundesley overlooking the beach. The views were lovely from the lounge and bedroom balcony. Will definitely go again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Gig House.Even though we had freezing weather it didn't spoil our holiday. The place was so cozy and the log fire was great.we managed to get on the beach with our dog on the first day.unfortunately due to weather we didn't get the chance again.we will definitely be booking again and hopefully the weather will be a lot better.I miss being there already.will recommend this property to family as know they will love it,Just as we did.

Perfect beachside house with everything you could need for a family holiday by the sea!
The house was lovely and full of character. Good sized bedrooms and view from the main bedroom was amazing. Just a few steps from the big sandy beach and close to many of the main places to visit in Norfolk. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of games and puzzles in the lounge and good outside space for if the weather is a bit warmer. What would make it perfect would be a table tennis table or table football in the huge utility room.
Would thoroughly recommend this property for a visit to Norfolk at any time of the year for a family and great for dogs.

beautiful place to stay
we had a lovely holiday. the house is so homely. very clean. lots of space, would love to go back in the summer.
Really nice area with a great pub/ restaurant literally a minutes walk away. the village has a few cafes that we tried. all were delicious and reasonable. They also let dogs in. there is a spar within walking distance. The beach is beautiful and huge. enjoyed many mornings and afternoons walking there. I would highly recommend

All we had hoped for!
Gig House was just as we hoped, with the great benefit of having the beach so close and able to enjoy the relaxing noise of rolling waves. There were 3 couples in our group for part of the week (two for the rest), an 18 month toddler and a Labrador; and the spaciousness of the cottage worked extremely well for us all. Mundesley is a very pleasant seaside village to walk round with good amenities, yet only 7 miles to Cromer. Our week went far too quickly and we shall want to return to this area again before long and we certainly would consider staying at Gig House again.

Great location
Per last year the family had a fantastic time and again we were blessed with the weather, which helps when you have two under 5! Property is in a fantastic location with a wonderful beach a stones throw away. Nice quiet location, unspoilt village. The property itself is showing signs of wear and tear and could do with little TLC to bring it up to the same level of feel and quality of other house we have stayed in. We would be back for the beach alone!

Very cosy and enjoyable holiday in a great location
The cottage is in a great location close to beach and an ideal location for visiting local places in North Norfolk.
I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact the cottage itself is in need of some maintenance, general improvements and could have been cleaned to a higher standard.
Luckily we had great weather for our week and we had a great family holiday.

Fantastic property
Gig house is a charming homely house with amazing sea views and impressed far more then we expected. The log burning stove was great for cool evenings in, after fresh sea air. The balcony off the back bedroom is great for morning views while enjoying the first cuppa of the day. Easy access to the beach, for great dog walks. The village had good basic facilities and friendly folk in the local 2 pubs. The house had all that could be wanted and the complementary tea and milk and loo rolls were great too. The golf club was a hit and kept the boys busy.
I would definitely recommend this property and location.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Fantastic
I simply lovely the Gig House - have been several times now and each time it is fantastic. The house is beautifully clean and just love siting looking at the beach/sea, taking long walks with my small dog. A chance to get away from it all and recharge batteries. Hope to go again soon.
