Aussies in Cornwall
Holly cottage was even better than expected. A spacious yet cosy cottage which was much bigger than the photos suggested. It was incredibly well equipped and just a short walk from the harbour at Padstow. Would definitely stay again.

A great stay
I stayed here in late August 2024 with my husband and my mother and we were pleasantly impressed with the location, size and comfort of the property. Our rooms were well furnished and our beds were comfortable. We appreciated having two separate seating areas with comfortable sofas as well as a dining area. Given how hard to come by parking is in Padstow, we really appreciated the allocated parking space. All in all a really positive experience.

Christmas at Padstow
The cottage was lovely. It was clean and the kitchen had a very good selection of utensils etc. The location was great with easy access by foot to the centre of Padstow and the nearby beaches. Would be happy to stay there again.

Padstow short break
The house is as described. Very spacious for a family. Everything you need is there and a few minutes walk into the centre of Padstow. Comfy beds and nice to have a sink and shower in the main bedroom. The steps to the garden were quite steep, we suggest you unload at the front and park up afterwards. The parking space is quite small and tricky to get into if someone parks on the road opposite. All In all a great find and we would return.

Fantastic cottage
Lovely cottage, just as good this time as our stay a few years ago. Great location, only a short walk down the hill to the shops and harbour. Kitchen had everything we needed. Really enjoyed staying here again.

We really struck lucky!!!
Holly Cottage is a warm, welcoming, attractive, well-equipped and perfectly located, peaceful house. Just far enough back to be away from the bustle of the harbour area but only a 5-10 min walk to everything. The description is spot on, the photos are fully representative - we found that Holly Cottage is bigger even than it looks from the photos! Smooth reservation to check-in/check-out process and easy communication with the host/owner. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Perfect in Every Way
Holly Cottage is the perfect getaway for groups of up to 6 people in picturesque Padstow. Located just 5 mins walk from the town centre the cottage is well equipped, beautifully decorated, warm and comfortable. The host was helpful and communicative, both before and during our stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Holly Cottage again the next time we visit Padstow.

Perfect location
The house was clean and comfortable and in the perfect location for access to the town of Padstow and it’s surrounding walks. The private parking spot was also a very welcome addition.

Great location and space.
Holly Cottage was perfectly located in Padstow. A short walk to the shops and an easy walk to the estuary. The cottage had lots of space, allowing us to spread out. The only thing missing was a sharp knife! We would definitely come again.

Delightful cottage in perfect position
We loved Holly Cottage from the moment we arrived. Lots of character and plenty of space for the 4 of us to spread out. Well equipped for we who like to cook on holiday😊. An easy stroll down the hill to the town. Great to have a parking space, not a big space but adequate for Octavia estate. Even on a very busy holiday week, the cottage was quiet and peaceful with a lovely garden. The only downsides were that all of the beds are hard which everyone found difficult. We improvised by putting spare quilts under mattress covers. Unfortunately slatted beds are hard but with modern mattress can be made comfortable! Would benefit from upgrading as it’s hard going on hols to not sleep well. Unfortunately we arrived in cold and windy weather. The storage heaters were on so nice and cozy Having said that we loved our stay and would certainly return but probably armed with mattress toppers. Many thanks😊

Fabulous
This is a lovely house in a wonderful location, being close to the harbour (less than five minutes walk) on a quiet road. Our party consisted of four adults and two children - one aged 3yrs and the other 7 months - and the accommodation was spacious and clean, with the kitchen/dining area and small tv lounge off providing more than enough room for us all to congregate - even with two further adult guests during a couple of evenings. The house itself is well equipped and we felt we had everything we needed for our week's stay. Parking was not a problem, with the allocated space easily accommodating my BMW X3 with space to spare. We would highly recommend this property and we will be returning.

Great cottage, perfect stay
Just got back from staying in Holly Cottage for a week. Highly recommended! The instructions we received beforehand were comprehensive and very informative. The cottage was as described, clean and everything worked. The kitchen is very well equipped with appliances and utensils. It, the dining area and adjacent informal lounge/TV area quickly became the core area where we spent much of our time. The lounge is also very usable. Upstairs is very spacious and well presented. The whole house was also easy to keep clean and tidy. Outside, the parking area is spacious and easy to use - just reverse into it, no problems. As for location, it's an easy walk down to the harbour and all the amenities that Padstow has to offer. Great to pop down for very nice croissants for breakfast, pasties (of course)a multitude of restaurants, crabbing, pubs, shops, etc. The location is also a great base for the many walks around Padstow. Delightful!

Can't recommend enough!
Holly Cottage is a very well equipped, spacious and welcoming cottage that is easy to use, comfortable and perfectly located. We particularly liked the personal touches such as the collections of jugs and tea pots and the everything-you-need kitchen. The adjacent 'snug' with 2nd screen was perfect for us. We like to cook and natter as a family. We also prefer locations where we can park and walk the rest of the holiday. Holly Cottage is minutes from Padstow town center and water front and beaches and has a parking space at the rear with rear access. This made walking everywhere very easy and walking the dog back into the property easy, as well as packing to leave. The cottage has lovely furniture, and is kept very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again soon.

Fantastic cottage
Just back from Holly Cottage in Padstow. No ice or snow down there! This cottage is a great find, ideal for a family - good to have the two separate tv/dvd areas. Excellent accommodation, especially the kitchen and with private parking space. Will go again.

Great house and location
Arrived at Holly cottage to find a great house with easy access to great walks, the beach and pubs and restaurants. The house is a good size for our party of six, 4 adults and 2 teens, the snug with an extra TV was ideal, and the kitchen was well equipped, although the 2 single bedrooms could do with wardrobes and some more storage for coats and boots would be good! As another review stated in Aug 13 the house could still do with a good clean, cobwebs everywhere, and dust on top of light shades and pictures etc

Great Cottage
Loads of room. On level for cliff walks, yet just up from the harbour and 10mins walk from beach. Nice modern kitchen and bathroom. Very nice patio in huge sun with recliners etc. comfortable beds. Good value, have stayed there several times

6/10 Okay

Padstow cottage
The location of the cottage is very good, being only a short stroll from Padstow town centre and the cottage is quite spacious. The owner was very nice to deal with too and means well, no complaints there! The kitchen is well equipped, although could do with some Pizza pans! There is a good sized dining area with a small light conservatory. The bathroom and shower are also OK. The hot water immersion is quite noisy when it is heating the water. There are 2 TVs, but they are both very old and should be replaced (one only works intermittently and they are both very annoying to use after a couple of days). One downside in the living room is that the house opposite has a large garage which is permanently open and used for a commercial business (there are 2 white vans in there most of the time, with people coming and going throughout the day).Overall, it was reasonably clean, but could probably do with a deep clean at some point. The parking was my main gripe - it does have off street parking, but it is extremely narrow. I managed to squeeze my 8 week old Mercedes into the space after some careful manoeuvring (and some sweating!). The next day I returned to my car to find it was completely covered in concrete like bird droppings from the tree above. I tried to remove them with soapy water, but found that my paintwork had been damaged. I was able to purchase a car cover from Halfords in Truro (for ?40!), but the damage had already been done (I had to return to the Mercedes dealer to have the scratches removed :-(. There is also a loose fence with wooden posts on one side of the parking, which could potentially be blown onto the side of your car. I would strongly suggest that the owner replaces this and considers fitting a car port. Ideally, the parking bay should be widened.
