About this property

Our Dewey Beach home is located within walking distance to the ocean (one and a half blocks) and is geared toward providing a memorable family beach vacation for our guests.

This cedar and brick rambler provides 1700 square feet of open living area with cathedral ceilings, skylights, etc. A large private deck area behind the house is great for family barbecues. There is a storage shed adjacent to the deck where you will find beach chairs, rafts, beach toys, etc. for your convenience. An extra full-size refrigerator is provided in the storage shed. There is an outdoor shower located on the side of the house near the front entrance; a large adjoining patio area next to the shower provides a quick and convenient clean-up area following your day at the beach. There is ample parking for up to five vehicles. Privacy fenced yard and fenced area (10'x20')in backyard for pets.

Living area provides a large TV room with a fireplace, cathedral ceilings, comfortable seating with sectional sofa and two oversized leather recliners. A large fully furnished kitchen opens to dining area with daybed for extra sleeping accommodations.

Master bedroom with two full-size beds and one single bed opens to deck on back of house; adjoining master bathroom is a full shower and bath. The second bedroom is equipped with one queen-size bed and one single bed and has an adjoining master bathroom with full shower. The third bedroom is equipped with a bunk bed and one single bed. The third bathroom is located next to this bedroom and has a full shower. There are enough beds to sleep eleven people.

House is close to the beach, centrally located to many activities, shopping, restaurants, night life, etc.

Comfy house for a family of 5+ not far from the beach

This one-story family style house was roomy and accommodating for our multi-gen family of 6 adults and a toddler grandchild, plus a dog. We loved the multiple spaces to gather: in the cozy living room, in the kitchen and dining area and on the deck accessible from the master bedroom and the driveway--though we wished the deck were screened in because of the flies mostly. Three bedrooms only but multiple places to sleep, it's really designed for a big close family. The AC was fine in the master bedroom but a bit stuffy in the other 2 bedrooms, and there are 3 bathrooms. Description said there was a high chair but it's a booster seat, so bring your own if you have a baby. It's about a 6-8 minute walk to Dewey beach, just across Coastal Highway. We saw the same beach folk every day and enjoyed the waves. Dewey has a slightly different vibe than Rehoboth, maybe a bit more relaxed, less crowded and fussy about their beach structure rules, but without the boardwalk.

Annual Family Vacation

The house was within walking distance of everything in Dewey, yet it was quiet inside the house and even on the spacious deck out back. The house was furnished with everything needed for cooking and serving meals. It was clean and the shed out back was loaded with beach chairs, toys, and boogie boards. The beds were comfortable and the 3 bathrooms was nice and the outside shower was convenient after coming back from the beach. It is an older home with some older amenities but everything worked just fine for us.

Dewey Beach

Great rental perfect for us. Clean place everything worked perfectly. Plenty of dishes beach chairs etc . Brought the dog small fenced yard but great so I can let her out easily. Wonderful Deck! Second time staying here . Close to the beach you can walk anywhere.

Very Accommodating!

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed and very accomodating with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths a great deck, grill, beach chairs and pet friendly. The house was very quite and close to the beach. The owners had all the comforts of home with paper products and appliances with everything needed to enjoy meals at home. We hope to be back again next summer.

Dewey Rental

Spacious and clean inside. Plenty of paper supplies and well-stocked with kitchen utensils. Musty odor in family room and dining room. Deck furniture needed cleaning and deck and yard needed leaf blowing. Quiet neighborhood. Beach accessible but have to cross Coastal Highway (about 1.5 blocks to beach).

Great stay

This is a clean, very comfortable 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house with easy walk to bay and beach, and all the bars and restaurants in Dewey Beach. Yet the immediate neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, at least in the Fall. Property owner was great with communication. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Family Dewey Beach Week

Perfect rental for family with 2 yr. old. Close proximity to great restaurants & beach. Early October vacation = awesome weather/quiet beaches!! Two suggestions: brighter light @ entrance door; bannister @ entrance door.

Sad it had to end!

First time vacationing at Delaware beaches and we all loved it right from the start…This house is in the perfect location: one block to the beach, walking distance to everything you could possibly need and want to do. This home is fully stocked with plenty of beds and living space. The deck is extra large where we enjoyed quality family time. The overall vibe in Dewey and Rehoboth is amazing. The people are friendly and very welcoming. Our only disappointment was that our vacation had to end…we are definitely coming back. Thank You to the Hitt family for sharing your home we enjoyed it immensely!

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Close to the beach, entertainment, restaurants. The kitchen is fully stocked, as is the bathrooms. The pans could use replacement, and a few cosmetic repairs could be done, but overall a great vacation. Plenty of room for 4 of us, and Lexie ( the dog).

Better than Expected

This was our third rental in Dewey Beach in the past decade -- and by far the BEST. The pictures don't do justice to the property. All high-def TVs, ample space, and just about every amenity one could hope for. The fenced-in backyard was absolutely wonderful for our two dogs to wander, sniff, and "do their business." The gas grill was large and very serviceable. Plenty of grill tools out back. The shed holds a ton of beach chairs, umbrella, and beach toys. One master bedroom (which our son used) had plenty of space and windows -- leading out to the large backyard deck and yard. HUGE master bathroom. My husband and I chose the second master bedroom due to the Queen-sized bed. Due to its blue walls, it was a welcome respite and allowed us to sleep in a bit. That bathroom was smaller, but serviceable. Had I to do it again, I would have switched with my son (but we didn't want a double bed at the time). The third bedroom had a bunk bed and single twin. The kitchen was spacious, the living room very comfortable, and the dining room was great for my son to attend his online classes, as well as serving as a great spot for our dinners. There is an outdoor shower that we did not use, and a hose where we could rinse off our feet. Had the last day been warmer, I likely would have used the hose to wash our dogs prior to traveling home. There is a garbage service that will bring your trash bins to the curb. I appreciated that service as I was a bit late getting trash out on a Monday morning. Frank was quickly responsive to the questions that I had. This likely will be our last beach rental for a bit, but I would absolutely rent this home again. Thank you, Frank, for such a welcoming place to call "home" for one week. I give the house & property 5 stars. Location is 4 stars simply because of its proximity to busy roads, especially on weekends.

Great place with relaxing atmosphere

Great vacation house. Plenty of beds for sleeping and the three baths allowed us not to wait to shower or change. Kitchen was well equipped with more than enough pans, dishes, knives, utensils and silverware. Deck was spacious without the need to crowd with plenty of seating. We used the large gas grill for almost every meal. Plenty of gas with extra on hand. The storage shed was well equipped with a lot of beach toys, beach chairs and an umbrella along with miscellaneous beach items. This saved us from running to a store for all the things needed for a comfortable stay. The large dining room was a great place to chat and everyone had a place to sit. The multiple TVs allowed everyone to watch what they wanted without any argument. Great place and would highly recommend. Beach was just a short walk and downtown close by too. Didn't really need to drive anywhere once we arrived which made it even more relaxing.

Good place to stay.

We've stayed at this location four times. Kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, and utensils. The beds are comfortable. The location makes most things in Dewey Beach within walking distance. Downtown Rehoboth is a five minute drive away.

Dewey Beach Escape

The walk to the sand and surf of Dewey Beach from this property is short. yet when you are back home again from the beach you are in a quiet, shaded and peaceful area. Inside there is a nicely stocked kitshen with whatever you might need to cook and serve your meals. The dining area is large , and was enough to easily seat our family of seven. The bedrooms and bathrooms are ample and clean. The living room is comforatable and the property includes a big TV and WIFI. Outside there is a fenced back yard and deck which was great for our dog. Included in the rental is use of beach chairs and beach "stuff" housed in the shed out back. The owner truly wants renters to enjoy their stay and is very responsive. Our family would recommend this property.

Thank you so much Frank for allowing us to stay at your place during the holiday weekend! It had a homey/cabin vibe, we loved it! It was absolute perfect location. The deck is absolutely amazing. Donna, a neighbor, came and hung out with us for a little one night on the deck - we loved her!! We had 8 girls total with us and everyone had a bed easily. The couches are also huge. Frank answered all my calls - and all of my questions lol. Would definitely stay again!

Thanksgiving at the Beach

I spent a much-needed Thanksgiving week get away at this home in Dewey Beach with my son, daughter-in-law, three lively and lovely granddaughters and my faithful dog. The house was warm and comfortable.There was plenty of room for all of us to play, rest, cook and enjoy our Thanksgiving feast. We enjoyed being just a block from the beach, and loved taking a cold, but lovely walk on the beach under a full moon. I have always loved beaches in the off-season, and this house provided an ideal place to experience a new beach town.

Great property. Convenient to town, beach &shopping.

We totally enjoyed our stay. Great place to stay, close to everything, and very comfortable and clean. House was well stocked, everything you need if you forgot to bring anything. Deck great for relaxing and plenty of room for the dogs in the back yard. Our thanks to Frank and Christine for letting us share your home away from home.
