Villa Hemera is nestled into the hillside of the peaceful, beautiful and prestigious Vlicha bay, just minutes from the historical town of Lindos. The villa has breathtaking panoramic views of the crystal blue waters of the Aegean sea (the best in the bay due to the villa location). Take a two minute stroll down to the beach where you will find tavernas (who will serve you drinks on the beach) and a mini-market for all your necessities (a supermarket is also available at the entrance to the bay for 'the big shop' if needed)

Amazing stay in Vlicha Bay
Our second visit to this lovely villa, it felt like coming home! Everything we needed, with two 79 year olds we definitely need a car. Supermarket just over a mile away, pool area beautiful, lovely beach down the hill and fantastic views. Teri is very helpful and just a call away if you need anything. We have already booked for our third visit, 3 weeks next year!

Perfect villa for a hols in Rhodes

Beautiful property in a great location, v close to lindos! Lovely well kept villa. Easy to contact host and worth every Penny! I would love to stay again. Welcome wine and food parcel was much appreciated for evening flight out :) steep hill (small) to walk up but worth it for the views !! Amazing, wish I was still there

A fantastic Villa in a nice small village. We Aldo loved the calm Vlicha Beach, The Villa is actually better than the photos. The pool is one of the top 3 we ever rented. So we probably will be back again.

We loved the villa! It was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The outdoor area was outstanding. The pool was very clean. The bed was comfortable. We loved the beach. We were there in June and it was not crowded at all.

Absolutely fab villa, excellent views, 6 ladies, no car but that didn't stop us getting about. A bit quiet in the bay , however we made full use of the nearby hotel where the food was delicious ( and the cocktails). I would definitely visit this villa again in the future.

Fantastic place
Had an amazing time at this villa, a little out of the way but worth it, you do need a car to get about. We had 2 weeks here and will definitely be booking again. The villa has everything you need and the welcome pack is great when you arrive, nice touch. The view is amazing, we had lots of fun in the pool, it was so hot most nights so we would be in the pool at 11.30pm, just chilling out. Over all this has to be one if the nicest Villas I have ever stayed at.

The villa is really nice view is amazing steep hill up from beach but not a problem villa has everything you need clean and tidy could do with a little bit of a freshen up around the pool area the decking needs renewing other than that can’t really fault it Shane has been great and contacted with ease Thanks very much Shane I’m sure we will be back Matt

Great location and views
This was our second stay at this property which in our opinion is in the best location in Vlicha Bay being in a quiet location with fantastic views across the bay. There is a very short walk downhill to the beach, small supermarket and small selection of tavernas. The pool and terrace area has a variety of plants that set this relaxing area off, I have to agree with the previous review that the decking is a bit tired but not an major issue and I am sure this will be addressed by the owner. The villa has everything you need and a good welcome pack with your basics on arrival. I am sure we will return again soon.

Wonderful Holiday
We arrived after midnight due to our flight being delayed and found there was no cot or high chair in the villa, which we requested. This was rectified the morning after so wasn’t too big a drama. The villa is lovely but a little ‘tired’ but had everything we needed and the location is perfect and we had a wonderful time and would definitely return (hopefully next year🤞)

You need definitely a car. If I would have known what a steep rise there is to reach the villa I wouldn’t have taken it. Some item in the villa are damaged. Pool Manager was really nice and very attentive. Vlycha has nothing to offer. We had to drive every day. Best regards

Lovely Property / Beautiful Location
Lovely villa in a lovely location. The villa was exactly as advertised, and even came with a well stocked fringe (wine, cheese, ham, juice, fruit, water etc). Host (Shane) always responded quickly to any questions. Terry the maintenance guy was awesome. We called him out once as we had a question, and he was here super quickly (awesome service). We went out to Lindian Jewell a couple of times (2 minute walk down a steep hill), and it was lovely. We also had food and drink at The Banana Bar on the beach which was lovely and fully shaded). The Ktima restaurant is lovely but overpriced (had better meals at the Lindian Jewell and in Lindos. The Dionysos Resturant was recommended by Shane. This was also a lovely restaurant with a lovely rooftop view. Definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a villa in Rhodes. Only thing to be mindful of is the extremely steep ‘road / path’ leading to the villa. But don’t let this put you off. You get used to driving up it, and it’s only about 100metres. Thankyou Shane and Terry!!!! Awesome Hosts!!!

Every bit as delightful as the description lead us to believe
It was dark when we arrived so it wasn't till morning that we could appreciate the view - and that was stunning. Then there was the pool - so clean, so refreshing and a perfect way to both start and finish the day. The villa was perfect for our needs, with one of the bedrooms being on the ground floor. There was a welcome pack which enabled us to have breakfast before heading for the nearby supermarket. The outdoor dining area and seating area were great - not one evening was spent indoors!. The position of the villa meant that the rest of the island were easily accessible and we were able to explore a great deal of it. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa - my party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay there.

Fabulous Villa in an amazing location
Fabulous Villa, with a wonderful location. Everything about this place is fantastic from the view from the villa, balconies and terrace, to the outside space with outstanding areas to relax, plenty of shade for those who like to get out of the sun but yet stay close to others and the interior is just as stunning, with some of the comfiest beds we've had abroad. This place is a jewel in the Aegean, so relaxing and comes with a resident wildlife show of birds in the afternoon, and the local goats climbing the hillside behind, close enough to Lindos town with it's wonderful meandering little streets, great restaurants and wonderful bays and to quieter Lardos. The decking mentioned in previous reviews looks brand new and appears to have been replaced, the welcome pack provided included much appreciated drinks, fruit, and essentials and a surprise bottle of vino too. Thank you Shane for sharing your home, this villa is just fabulous and we hope to return in the future.

Good location and spacious villa.
We thoroughly enjoyed the very comfortable, clean and spacious villa with fantastic outdoor area and stunning pool. The welcome pack was most appreciated, having driven from the airport late at night. Waking up the next morning we were greeted by the spectacular view which overlooks the bay and out to sea. Throughout the week we took the opportunity to eat alfresco each day and take in the warmth of the sunshine whilst relaxing around the pool reading. At the bottom of the hill (about 2-3 min walk) is the beach front and a couple of restaurants catering for a snack, lunch, dinner or just a cocktail. There are a number of other great places to eat not far from the villa for those wishing to venture out and we enjoyed the delights of Lindos and Lardos on a couple of evenings. In summary, a great and comfortable villa with good facilities situated in a stunning location.

Lovely villa & pool in a great location overlooking Vlicha Bay
We spent 10 days at the villa which is set in a lovely location half way up the hill side overlooking Vlicha Bay. We were 4 adults and 2 children aged 4 & 9 who both absolutely loved the pool. We spent most of our time outside in or around the pool or under the covered terrace area. The sun shone every day but it was also quite windy which helped to keep cool. Never got tired of the view which looks out to see across Vlicha bay. Inside the Villa we had everything we needed and the air conditioning in the bed rooms was really appreciated at night. The lovely village of Lindos is very close by and we spent many evenings there either down on the beach or in one of the many shops, bars or tavernas. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and really enjoyed spending much of out time at the villa. Would definitely recomend if you are looking for a good villa for up to 6 people on this part of the island.

Fantastic relaxing get-away holiday villa
The perfect get-away villa. We loved staying here, it was perfect for a group of friends who wanted to relax but didn't want to be on top of each other. There's plenty of space for 6 or even 8 people. The outside space is what made the holiday so fantastic. The reason I've give 4 stars for accuracy of listing is that the the photos of this space don't do it justice. At any given time one of us would be relaxing in the pool, one on the loungers, one on the outdoor sofa area in the shade and one just admiring the view over the bay. It never felt like we were intruding on someone else's space. Just down the short but steep hill from the villa is a great bar/restaurant and then you are on to the beach, the location was perfect for us, although I'm glad we hired a car for transfers, to get to the local supermarket and trips out to Lindos. If you're looking for a relaxing week or two away from the world and it's worries, you'd be hard pushed to find somewhere better.

October break
We had a fantastic holiday at the Villa Herrera. There were 6 adults and we had plenty of room, thanks to the great weather & outside area. The 3 bedrooms were a good size & with 2 bathrooms, we had no space issues. The kitchen area was well equipped & the host, Shane was extremely generous with a very well stocked fridge on arrival. The pool and outside area were just lovely! Sunbeds for 6, a cozy sofa area & stunning views across the bay. We spent most of our time here. Terry the pool & general maintenance man was really friendly & helpful but managed to not be intrusive either. Whenever we needed any help, he was there in a very short time & sorted any minor issues straight away. Shane, the host, was great. He was always quick to respond to our messages, generous with equipment & food - he thoroughly deserves his premier host status. We felt Shane & Terry were a good team & felt in very safe hands. We would come back without hesitation.

Beautiful views of Vlicha Bay
Really great villa with fantastic views across the bay. The Villa was clean and spacious with excellent outside space for eating and relaxing outside and a beautiful pool area with a bbq. We hired a car which was really useful for going to other beaches, restaurants and the supermarket. It is possible to walk into Lindos but not a night as the road has no pavements, in August it is also extremely hot, even at night. The villa had good air conditioning which certainly needed and the bathrooms and kitchen are basic but clean and functional. The beach in Vlicha Bay is stoney but is well served by Lindian Jewel for drinks and food. Lindian Jewel is good for evening drinks and food but travelling into Lindos and Lardos to eat gives much more choice. St Paul’s Bay is a lovely cove the far side of Lindos which has gorgeous sea and beachside restaurants and the town of Lindos is very beautiful. An excellent villa, a way away from Lindos and up a very steep hill but we would certainly return to this villa.

My wife and I live in England, I am English, my wife is Russian. We met in 1992 when I worked in Moscow. We married in 1994 and we returned to England in 1997. We have 2 children Thomas born in 1999 and Matthew born in 2001.

Why we chose Rhodes.

My wife and I first visited Rhodes in 1993 and we fell in love with the island straight away. It was always a dream to buy a villa in Rhodes and this dream came true in 2008 when we bought the property off plan. The property was finally completed in October 2009. Location on the island was very important to us and Vlicha Bay was exactly where we wanted to be.

Location - Vlicha Bay is so beautiful, the villa nestled on the moutainside overlooking the sea and just a 2 minute walk down to the fantastic beach.

Why they chose this property

Vlicha Bay.

The view from the road is enough to entice you. Just before you turn the corner to Lindos you can see the bay with the bluest, clearest water imaginable. A beautiful beach excellent for swimming. Vlicha bay is a peaceful location ideal for relaxing, and it's close proximity to Lindos makes it the ideal. Shops, tavernas and bars are all available on the beach.

Lindos.

Just 5 minutes away, Lindos has everything to offer, supermarkets, banks, tavernas and restuarants and a beautiful beach. At night Lindos boasts some of the finest bars on the island.
