Muy buen lugar, el acceso en un principio es un poco complicado pero después se está muy bien. El propietario muy bueno y siempre pendiente a las necesidades que se le planteaban.
We had a terrific family vacation at this peaceful and relaxing mountain villa. It had plenty of room for 12 guests and the views were spectacular in all directions. Out host, Ian, was very gracious and most accommodating. We would highly recommend staying here as long as you don't mind the 30 minute drive for groceries and provisions into Malaga along a winding mountain highway and narrow dirt road to get to/from the property.

Beautiful house, tranquil area and great hosts!
It was a wonderful stay. We got collected from the airport, and took the amazing drive up the road to the guesthouse.
The views are spectacular! An amazing view of Malaga City, and also the surrounding areas.
The guest house is great, plenty of room and a big table for everyone. It has a nice back terrace with table tennis, and a second terrace with games for kids and chillout area. At night there is no light pollution so the stars are amazing. And there were no mosquitos which is the best!!
Overall it was one of the best holidays I have been on and we will definitely come back here again. The kids loved it as well, which made it so easy. They were so happy with the pool, the games and the zipline!!
Thanks Ian and Sally for being so helpful as well :)

Fantastic holiday home
We stayed here for two weeks and I couldn’t fault it! It was lovely and clean on arrival, the pool was cleaned out regularly and if we needed anything Ian was there to help out. The kids loved going down to see his chickens and dogs, he made all of us feel welcome. Absolutely fantastic holiday home I would definitely recommend to everyone. We hope to go back again!

Perfect retreat for some quiet days!
We were looking for a place in Andalusia where we could enjoy nature and relaxation, and we found the best place! Up in the mountains, far from noisy beighbourhoods or cars with breathtaking sunsets every day! Sally and Ian were great, they answered all our questions about living in such an amazing place and in Spain in general and made our stay a very memorable one.
Though having a car is a must as the location is remote, the mountain walks, the air and the nearby village with the traditional restaurants give enough options to relax and recharge if you dont want to go into the city of Malaga. Great memories!

What a beautiful place to stay!
The house is great, the location and the view stunning. In about 30 minutes by car you are in downtown Malaga. Follow the instructions Ian and Sally give you to get to the house. Our navigation system brought us somewhere else. But Ian picked us up to show us the way. Ian and Sally are very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic yet again!
This was our second visit and again we had an amazing time! We returned as a family of 7 and once again Ian & Sally were the perfect hosts. The house is still as stunning as ever and as an added extra there was a new fire pit if the weather was cold at night! As it was we didn't need this as the weather was fantastic!!
They're are so many places to relax like the swimming pool, the front terrace, the swinging seat with beautiful mountain views and even a hammock to take a snooze!
Lots of places to eat and drink and mix with the locals and we even had the pleasure of Ian & Sally showing us around some of the local restaurants.
The house has everything you could need and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. We will definitely be returning sometime this year.
Thank you to our lovely hosts Ian & Sally for making our holiday so wonderful!!

Little piece of heaven
I spent Christmas here with my husband and adult daughter and we instantly fell in love with the place. The house is fully equipped and the owners Sally and Ian live nearby and were more than helpful and extremely welcoming. The house has a huge log burning stove which Ian kindly lit for us every evening when we were out. Sally gave us some delicious home made cheese and free range eggs from their own hens. The terrace has amazing views down over Malaga and there is a pool, a barbecue area and lots of little cozy nooks with seats, hammocks, swings, etc to sit out and relax in. We had a most relaxing holiday here and yet it's only approx 10km away from the hustle and bustle of Malaga which, I have to say, the three of us loved also. I can't wait to make a return visit to this beautiful little piece of heaven. Thanks Sally and Ian x

Amazing!!!!
We were a family of 10 but the house can accommodate 13-14 people and had everything you needed. The BBQ was just what we needed to eat at nights but there are local restaurants about 10 mins away which accommodate your every needs. The different spots to relax in the garden are fantastic and from the hammock the views of the mountains are spectacular. Malaga is only a 30 min drive away and the views from the house especially at night are amazing. Ian & Sally are the perfect hosts and took us shopping and helped with all our needs even cooking for us some of their favourite recipes. Their extended family of animals make the holiday so different and we loved the goats cheese from Paco the goat herder and thanks Sally for all the eggs!!
There are even games in the garden for all ages to have fun with!! Thanks Sally & Ian for a wonderful holiday! We will definitely be returning to this haven of tranquility!!

Los Golindrinos
Simply one of the best Holidays I've had for years and one of the most stunning settings you could wish for. From the minute we arrived and were met by Ian and Sal we knew that we'd struck Gold.
The house has everything you need for a relaxing and peaceful time but you can be down on the coast and amongst the restaurants and bars in 30 minutes or less.
When we first arrived we had all sorts of excursions planned but after a couple of days we pretty much decided we had everything we needed right there and proceeded to chill like never before.
Ian and Sal know everything there is to know about this Idilic mountain setting and can point you in the direction of whatever you may require. The majority of which is produced locally.
The Sunsets are mind blowing and cool mountain breezes make the evening temperature perfect after a long hot day.
This place is MAGIC and we've already booked for next year.
Can't wait.

Stunning views
Sally and Ian's house is very different. It is very Spanish and in a beautiful location. The views of the coast and Malaga are absolutely stunning. The local area is very picturesque and there are interesting places to visit. If you like walking you will love it.
Sally and Ian make the most delightful hosts and I can guarantee you will have great fun with them.

wonderful holiday!
We spent a wonderful week in Las Golondrinas. The house is lovely, clean and comfortable; we had all what we needed, including a romantic view! It is near Malaga, so we could enjoy day trips in the region. Some days we just relaxed in the house, swimming in the pool, walking in the sourranding area and cooking on the grill in the court yard. Ian and Sally are fantastic people and gave us the opportunity to taste some natural traditional food. I personally suggest the goat cheese, I'm fond of it! I even learned to make it, all passages, from milking the goat to..eating my cheese! It tastes best!I will remind this experience in Las Golondrinas for ever

Wonderful stay
My wife and I stayed at this property and loved it. A romantic getaway with beautiful views of the mountains and plenty of space. The host was gracious enough to bring up their homade cheeses and we even had the opportunity to milk the goats. Great stay highly recommend.

great time in andalucia- eine schöne Zeit
We enjoyed very much our time at this house...sitting on the terrace, looking into the valleys.. this was really nice. One needs about 30 minutes to access the autoroute, from there it´s not far to either Malaga or up north to Granada etc. We liked to have the possibility to have barbecue on site. About the house itself: There were two bathrooms with showers and toilets inside. The living room consists of a table where there was space for everyone (When I was looking for houses this was not always the case!), same with a round table on the terrace. There´s not too much luxury (which could be expected), however, with a fire in the oven and thanks to the stunning landscape and the friendly hosts it was a great place for us.

Unas vacaciones excelentes

Beautiful but not quite what we expected
We were 12 people (8 adults and 5 young kids) staying for a total of 3 weeks during the month of August 2013.
The great points of this property:
- fantastic views
- well renovated and beautiful house
- the terrasses are very nice and spacious
- the owners are great and accomodating
- it was nice to have a pool, a ping-pong table and a badminton court
- the price was really great especially for the busy and touristic month of August in the region
- and did we mention the amazing views!
The cons for a long-term stay:
- The house should be properly described as rural and rustic.
- The road to get to the house was not as easy as described in the advertisement. The sinuous mountain road is long, and part of the drive is also unpaved. Once we got used to it, about half way into the vacation, it was less stressful to get there.
- The water is not drinkable in the house, and it should have been mentioned in the advertisement.
- There is no cleaning service every week as promised in the ad for longer stays.
- There is no tennis court. It is a badminton space with a net.
- We would have appreciated having nets on the windows.
- The wi-fi connection is very bad.
In conclusion, with a more accurate advertised description of the house, we would have been better informed about the property before getting there. The house itself is great, and the stay in the mountains was a welcome break from daily life. The hosts are great people.
