Etoile is a luxuriously appointed spacious chalet apartment situated in the beautiful village of Samoens and less than I hour from Geneva. It is located on three levels with 2 en-suite bedrooms at the top, very comfortable open plan living area on the first floor and garage with laundry room on the ground floor. Additional parking is available. The living area has underfloor heating and a log fire and benefits from a large balcony - perfect for soaking up the views or dining out when warm enough.

Great location and functional apartment

The owner and agent were amazing in their communication.and very helpful The location is great, I just feel that it is described as “spacious and luxurious” and I feel it should more accurately described without these adjectives. It is pretty compact for a family of 5, and although it had most of what we needed, it missed the special touches that make a property luxurious and the pack of info in the 7nit was 5 yrs out of date I’m wondering if the owner has not visited for a while or it has not been rented out for a while. When we arrived there was absolutely nothing in the kitchen ie no oil, salt pepper , etc, one dishwasher tablet, hardly any toilet paper, no oven gloves and the wifi kept crashing. These are small issues, I think for 3 or 4 people who want a well located property this is suitable.

Lovely apartment in a great location

We stayed for a weeks skiing and the apartment is in a great central location, just a short walk to the town center and then another 15mins to the gondala. 2 supermarkets in the town and Carrefour just a short drive away. The apartment is much bigger than advertised with lots of space and well equipped (even has Netflix which kept the kids happy) . It was lovely to come back to a warm apartment. Samoens retreat!

A lovely chalet as described. Well located, the balcony gets the afternoon/evening sun which is great when the weather is warm. Host has listened to previous comments and dealt with small omissions which is very good.

Semaine à la montagne

Appartement conforme à la description, avec une jolie vue. L'inconvénient majeur lorsqu'on recherche le calme est la trop grande proximité avec les autres appartements du chalet et des chalets environnants. Dans notre cas, soirées dans le chalet situé à l'arrière, et voisinage bruyant dans l'appartement mitoyen du nôtre.

Samoëns chalet

This chalet above the Samoens village was our last rental over the summer and was the perfect ending. The chalet has a beautiful view (took “too many” photos of the mountains!) and dinners on the deck discouraged us from dining out. Everything you might need is within walking distance and the village is lovely. The chalet was comfortable and nicely furnished; the owner responded quickly to any concerns. We would love to return to this beautiful area and home.

Great Summer Stay

Stayed for a week in August. Host has excellent communication. Great property, as advertised. Pictures don't do it justice. Really close to the centre of Samoens. Well equipped. Would recommend.

Super appartement dans un magnifique village

Appartement vraiment très confortable et cosy, avec une vue magnifique sur le village de Samoens et les montagnes. Les lits sont très confortables, les chambres avec leur salle d’eau individuelle très pratique. Cuisine bien équipée. Un grand plus avec la cheminée qui permet de passer des soirées ou des jours pluvieux bien confortablement au chaud. Très bonne communication avec Léonie qui nous a tout expliquer et sur qui on peut compter. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!

Location au top !

Superbe location bien équipée avec vue sur montagnes et parapentes. Tout se fait à pied : randos, courses, balades,... Le petit + : le ménage fait une fois par semaine !

This appartement and location was perfect

Great place, really nice village on walking distance, very nice small restaurants, and great place to ski. The appartement is luxurious, clean and had a very nice interior including a real mountain style fireplace. The appartement is comfortable for 5 people, has cosy seating and spacious kitchen. Parking place upfront is very convenient, and few minutes from ski lift. The owner is very helpfull and was very responsive with additional information. Would recommend this place for a perfect ski trip. Excellent place.

Très bel appartement avec vue magnifique

L’appartement de Leonie dans ce beau chalet est idéal pour passer des vacances à Samoëns. En effet il est très fonctionnel, très bien placé à quelques minutes du centre du village, bien équipé, propre avec une terrasse abritée où l’on peut prendre ses repas. Leonie est très réactive. Jo, le contact à Samoëns, est très arrangeante quant aux heures d’arrivée et de départ. Nous recommandons sans hésiter et reviendrons avec plaisir.

Why they chose this property

We first visited Samoens in 2005 and fell in love with the place. The extensive skiing offers something for everyone - skiers, boarders, beginners, off-piste enthusiasts, children. - and we knew it would be the sort of place we could keep going back to.
In addition the town is charming, in the winter it oozes warmth with vin chauds available as you wander around, whilst out of the ski season it is calm and invites you to linger over a coffee in the square watching the world go by.
We were astounded by the variety of activities available in the summer and when our friends have visited it seems that children of all ages can be easily occupied.
We have tried to create a really comfortable home in Samoens and if you decide to visit we hope you will love it too.

What makes this property unique

The closeness to the town so that it is easy to pop down to buy fresh croissants for breakfast, or walk to a restaurant for dinner but the elevation above the town to be a little away from it and enjoy the far reaching views.
