Polzeath - A Beautiful Two Bedroom Cornish Cob Barn sleeps 5
The Cob is a beautifully converted Cornish barn set in the former farmstead of Treglines. It enjoys a delightfully rural location but is still only one mile from Polzeath Beach and two miles from Rock. Lovingly converted with two double bedrooms, one bathroom and a sitting room with kitchen, it is perfect for a family of up to five or for two couples. Well behaved dogs are welcome. (garden is not enclosed).

Beautifully renovated barn; stylish, well equipped and comfortable
Our family - 2 adults, 1 three year old and our Labrador - spent a lovely long weekend at the Cob Barn in May. Situated perfectly for a range of beaches and walks, we enjoyed three relaxing days and made full use of the gorgeous garden with a bbq one evening with friends. We would love to come back!
We had the Cob as holiday home for he 2nd week of our family of five Cornwall vacation.
The former barn is beautifully refurbished into an open, modern two bedroom house with an attention to detail and special twist: the main bedroom has a huge door towards the very tidy hedge framed garden. Opening this door gave you a great view as seen in the gallery here!
We found the house tidy and clean with nothing to complain.
Please note, the house is not really in walk distance to beaches so double check if this is a priority for you. However, it is something that is very quiet with a garden that has enough space for kids and even a trampoline and is separated and off of the calm road.
All in all we can really and recommend the house for families!

The Cob is a lovely place
We had a wonderful week at the Cob. We loved being in the countryside. The Cob has a lovely garden which was great for our dog to play and run around in. The Cob has everything a couple needs to have a relaxed week of holidays. Our host Lavinia was very responsive and accommodating. Nothing to complain about. Thank you!

Really well appointed in a great location
This is an ideal place for beach, coastal walks and just generally relaxing. The cottage is very nicely done with all the necessary mod cons. With a bit of planning you can leave the car in the driveway all week and walk or bus into the village and across the area. Special recommendation for cycling the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow, and the walk to Pentire Point. And don't forget to go to Port Isaac for your 'Doc Martin' fix!

About the host
Hosted by Lavinia Anderon
We are a family of five living the other side of The Cob in a larger version of a converted barn. My husband Charlie re built both barns 20 years ago, lovingly re using as much of the original structures. We have one slightly mad spaniel who is very loving and adores anyone who will throw a ball or a stick for her.
Why they chose this property
The Cob is an old Cob barn lovingly restored. It has a lot of character and is very cosy and comfortable but not over the top. We have kept it simple in style.
What makes this property unique
Our location is perfect being tucked away but so close to all the beaches and coast line, as well as delights of Port Issac, Padstow, Trebarwith , Tintagel etc. We like to describe it as being far from the maddening crowds when we reach the summer months.
