We really enjoyed our Christmas break at Lane House, the location is great, very peaceful and quiet, and also great for walking in the area. The cottage itself is very spacious, and has all the amenities you require.
Lovely property and very helpful and easy to contact host.
Very comfortable beds and sofas. Everything we needed in kitchen. Only reason not 5 stars is the shower room is a little tired. Would stay again.
Lovely large Property with all equipment/facilities for a great stay. Within good distance from all popular attractions and villages.
Nice walks from the property.
Would have been nice for a small area of the garden to have been enclosed for dogs. But likewise this didn't detract from our great stay.
A spacious, welll-equipped cottage with a great view
The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, with lots of room to spread out. Great view of hills in the distance and sheep in the foreground. The drive up Wharfdale and then across to Kirky-Lonsdale has some of the best scenery anywhere. The local SPAR convenience store is surprisingly well stocked; we never bothered to go to a supermarket. This was our second visit, and with any luck, it won't be our last. Highly recommended.
Lovely, spaceous house in an idyllic Dales setting
This was the perfect base for this family of five to explore the Dales. The house is very comfortable, clean, well appointed and spaceous. The setting is fabulous, nestling up a track in a valley with views across the fields. It feels tranquil and remote, but you're only a mile from Threshfield with its well stocked Spar, and another mile from the charming village of Grassington with its shops, cafes and restaurants.
Owner Steven was very approachable and helpful and provided comprehensive and clear instructions. All in all, this was one of the best holiday rentals we've done, and we'd recommend it without hesitation.
We highly recommend this spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable cottage.
Location is perfect for walking and exploring. Very peaceful with wonderful news. Ample parking.
We spent a marvelous week at Lane House. It's very spacious, with more room to spread out than most places we've stayed at. The facilities are excellent, the views are splendid. We spent a lot of time on the patio just watching the hills, with sun and clouds (and cows and sheep). Easy access to other parts of Yorkshire, like Wharfedale, Skipton, Ripon, and points east. Highly recommended; we would love to come back.
We had a great time, scenery was stunning, barn was cosy yet large and very comfortable. The host was brilliant and answered any communication very quickly. Would go again
Idyllic location, perfectly situated for Dales walks from our doorstep. A comfortable and spacious cottage, everything we needed for a week of relaxation and tranquility!
The location of the cottage was stunning with lovely walks from the cottage door. The local amenities were very good - e.g. the shop and pub in Threshfield. Easy access to Grassington, Harrogate and Skipton. Accommodation was perfectly adequate, if in need of some modernisation. Cleanliness was acceptable, but not to the level one might expect. For example, saucepans and glasses had to be washed before they could be used, and the outside bins had not been emptied from the previous week. On the whole though, we enjoyed our stay in the Dales.
Perfect house, perfect location, great views over the country side.
Smooth and swift contact with Stephen

Our wonderful stay at Lane Cottage, Threshfields
Lane Cottage was warm and welcoming when we arrived. It was fully equipped with every thing we needed and very comfortable. The master bedroom was amazing with the most luxurious bathroom I have ever seen. We even had the added bonus of snow. Something we rarely see on the Fylde Coast. I have been in contact with the owner Steven Thomson who was very helpful and obliging.
My family and I have booked again for next year
I can highly recommend Lane cottage

Very comfortable, spacious, idyllic location
We had a thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable stay. A great base to explore the local area as well as easy access to other Yorkshire locations via picturesque roads. The views from the house were stunning and the fireplace made for some very cosy evenings. The house had everything we needed, I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Easily accommodated our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers).

great 3 night stay
once we found the property ( sat nav took us to the quarry) we were all amazed at the size of the property and how well everything was laid out and clean and tidy it was, the heating was spot on and warmed up very quickly we will be re booking for next year, so much to see and do all within 1/2 hour drive and it was lovely to return to each night, great range cooker and plenty of hot water couldn't speak more highly of this property, great little spar shop and garage at end of the road.

About the host
Hosted by Steven Thompson
My family and I lovingly restored this former barn into a beautiful cottage and home. I have recently moved nearer to work and family and now offer this beautiful cottage as a holiday home.
Why they chose this property
I lived in the cottage for 12 years and loved its position and location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. As a result the property is extremely well equipped and has everything you would expect from a modern home.
What makes this property unique
The property as you will see from the photographs is very private with no immediate neighbours and is on a private road. It is also central to a number of great footpaths and bridleways. This means access for running, walking or mountain biking is perfect right from your front door. There are 2 footpaths running from the cottage straight up to the Moor behind the cottage.
