About this property
Traditional house in a rural location , stunning seaview .
The house is about 100 years old with thick stone walls and a flat roof. It has been fully modernised without losing its character and has been furnished as a family's holiday hideaway. It stands in the corner of a large terraced plot with an abundance of olive and fruit trees .
In the house itself , a spacious south facing terrace, partially shaded by an ancient mulberry tree, leads into a comfortably furnished living room . On this floor there are two en suite double bedrooms , a well equipped kitchen and a further bathroom .
A stone staircase leads to another bedroom with a single bed and further bed stowed below . From this room there is access to a secluded south facing terrace , again with far reaching sea views ...
Although there is an excellent taverna within an 8 min walk ,
a hire car is essential to reach other tavernas , beaches and local shops .

About the host
Hosted by David J Nicholas
Having enjoyed living in Athens for eight years , we were anxious to keep a foothold in Greece when we returned to the UK .
Andros in particular appealed to us because it is relatively easy to reach from the mainland and its tourism is low key unlike some of the larger islands like Corfu or Rhodes .
However if we feel like a change of scenery or activities the nearby islands of Tinos , Syros and Mykonos are easily reached .
We bought the house simply as a family home and we let it only when my wife and I or our family are not claiming it.

Why they chose this property
It is calm , comfortable and characterful .
