The Crow's Nest - A Cosy Village Cottage with Stunning Sea Views

Situated in the heart of the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand on the Rame Peninsula, Cornwall, this self-catering chalet cabin offers total privacy and breathtaking sea views, looking out across the bay towards Plymouth Sound and the hills of Dartmoor beyond.

Hidden in the heart of the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand. As soon as you open the door into the property you are in another world, offering complete privacy and seclusion, this charming chalet boasts breathtaking sea views over the bay. Gaze out over the shimmering waters across to Plymouth and as far as the rolling hills of Dartmoor.

Buy some freshly baked croissants from the nearby bakery and start your day with a leisurely breakfast on the sun-kissed terrace, taking in the fresh sea breeze and the ever-changing coastal view.

As the evening unfolds, indulge in a tranquil soak and relax in the outdoor bathtub, where you can unwind beneath the open sky, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of nature. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape, serene retreat, or just visiting family and friends this chalet offers an unparalleled blend of comfort, seclusion, and spectacular scenery with sea views from every window.

There's a lot to do without wandering too far and a week could easily be lost exploring the charming streets, walking the famous coastline or relaxing on the beach. Walkers are spoilt for choice and can pick up the South West Coast Path in both directions. The calm sheltered bay is perfect for swimming, canoeing or paddle boarding.

Mount Edgcumbe’s country park starts at the top of the village and you can walk to the famous 16th century house and visit its beautiful gardens. Take a ferry from Cawsand beach to the historic Barbican in Plymouth or from Cremyll to The Royal William Yard, buzzing with restaurants and artisan shops. Locally, there are five pubs, three coffee shops and a choice of
places to eat in the evening.

Crow's Nest is ideally placed for short stays for Passing Out Parades at Raleigh or weddings at Polhawn Fort or Mt Edgcumbe Park as well as a romantic break or maybe you just want to go off grid and relax and re wind. If so this really is the place for you.

Relaxation in Cawsand Bay
Lovely little lodge in the heart of cawsand bay, the locals were all wonderful and we really enjoyed exploring the area and all along the coast. I would highly recommend if you want a few days away from the hustle and bustle of city life!

Wonderful View!
Thank you for a lovely stay. The Crow's Nest has the most incredible view and is very comfortable. It was a bonus being so close to the coastal path and a short stroll away from the shops/ pubs. The accommodation had everything we needed and the description and communication from Nick was great.

Crows Nest Cawsand
The chalet is delightful and beautifully situated. All it lacks is a wardrobe, though its hard to see where one could be fitter in the bedroom. If a couple want a real break from the hassle this is absolutely ideal and we will rebook.

View from the Nest
Been visiting the Crow's Nest for several years now and never get tired of the brilliant view across Plymouth Sound. Kingsand and Cawsand always welcoming with friendly residents and decent pubs. Great network of ferries for easy access to Plymouth and trips down the Tamar. I'll be back next year, as long as I can still climb those steps!

Great for Couples
Very Cozy. Perfect for a couples holiday. Very helpful host. Access to property can be a challenge due to steepness of stairs outside but there are alternative routes in. Would stay again.

Wonderfull place with a spectacular view
Wonderfully place with a spectacular view on the bay. Very clean, all needed furniture and very large terrace, enough covered to take an aperitif under the rain. Perfect for a couple No specific parking for the apartment but as a city's inhabitants, we are never afraid of finding a parking place in the evening 😉

Great secret hideaway
Very private chalet in a pretty spot high above the middle of the two villages. Just a short walk (though including quite a lot of well-maintained steps) to the deli and several eateries. It fully lived up to our expectations as the photos in the property description - both of the chalet and the views from it - give a true impression.

Fantastic little place, fantastic views
What a fantastic little place, the views were amazing. A very secluded little place with decked area outside and patio below with sun loungers. The sun rise from the decked area was amazing (on the one morning we had clear skies). The accommodation was perfect, everything you could possibly need and very clean. Sea views from the bedroom and living room. Even the steps down to the fantastic village weren’t so bad. We would definitely recommend

The Crows Nest was a sweet, comfy, pretty, well appointed but oh so small property. Gorgeous views outweighed the fact that there were only a few hooks on the wall with clothes hangers to store your clothes. Kingsand and Cawsand were a delight. Good pubs & village shops, Cornish atmosphere, friendly locals & beautiful location. We had a lovely stay but it felt expensive. But that view was probably worth it.

Great Location, fantastic views.
What a find. Fabulous views over Plymouth Sound and the village below. Accommodation very cosy with great outside space to sit and take in the scenery. The steps down to the village kept us fit and not a problem for us. We ate at the Devonport Inn, The Halfway House Inn and The Bay. Good food at all three but Halfway Inn the best. We found a parking spot on New Road for the entire stay. We walked both days on the coast path from the cottage to Whitsand Bay and to Millbrook via Edgcumbe Country Park. Would definitely stay again.

Crow's nest
A little jewel of a miniature villa set high above the village with magnificent views over Plymouth Sound. I love returning to the Crow's Nest year after year. It's convenient for the village and a great base for exploring the locality.
