•* (one fold out type bed makes the number to 12 but note the bed is suitable for a child only.)

This chalet can be catered or self catered. For those self catering the kitchen area is well equipped, large cooker with large oven, dishwasher, a small fridge and a larger fridge/freezer, plenty of room to work in and work space.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer downstairs for your convenience.
A balcony off from the lounge allows you to sit out on the sunny days especially early evening later on in the season when you get full sun!
There is also a terrace out the back which has a table and chairs for outside dining during the summer months.
The chalet is in the lovely village of Peisey Nancroix with access directly to ski Les Arcs and La Plagne only 8 mins walk away (in ski boots).
The small superette is close by at 50m and there is a butchers, boulangerie and cheese shop a bit further on.

To get to the slopes, there are two options - you can take the steps down to the main road and there is a regular bus service to the ski lift - it takes 2 mins to get there.
The other option is to walk - it takes 8 mins - this can be made all the more pleasant (for kids especially) if you just rent ski equipment from Sport 2000 in Plan Peisey then you can just walk in normal boots to the ski lift (stand-up type lift) and collect gear directly from there!

Please Note: The self catered option includes linen and towel hire with the option of the end of stay clean.
The catered option can be booked - either delivered meals or an in-chalet service for 1 night up until a full week's catering. The service is only available when pre-booked. Please ask Melanie.

Chalet Cooking/Hosting Courses - For inspiring young (or old) chalet cooks, we run chalet courses at different times throughout the year - you can find us via SnowCooks which is where you will also find details of the catering option.

Rustic traditional chalet
This is a lovely chalet in a small village. Everything was as expected. Lovely and warm and the showers always hot, even with 8 of us using them. Nice big lounge/kitchen area. Only couple of improvements - the beds are very firm and pillows/duvets not the most comfortable. Also dark in the hallway entrance. Couldn’t change the bulbs despite trying. All in all u would still recommend.

Heerlijk goed uitgerust ruim chalet

Beautiful well equipped chalet
A fantastic stay at chalet viva. Loads of space and we’ll equipped, just a short walk to the lifts to take you up to the slopes. Melanie was always on hand to answer our questions and help out. A lovely quiet village location with everything on the doorstop, supermarket, butchers and bakers and yet great access to the ski area. A great ski hire shop by the slopes where you can leave boots and skis to save carrying them up and down every day. Could not have asked for more.

What an amazing Christmas
I couldn't recommend this beautiful property and its location highly enough.. 2 families of 6 teenagers, 4 adults and 2 hounds descended for Christmas with everything packed but the kitchen sink.. All 5 bedrooms are spacious and ensuite. Melanie was a fantastic host, who answered all questions promptly and even sourced us a Christmas tree and extra firewood.. Great location for skiing with lobster pot lifts just up the road from the house which take you directly to the foot of the slopes. Beautifully clean, the kitchen has everything you could ask for and more if you're self catering. Supermarket, fresh bread and local restaurants all within spitting distance.. Quiet and peaceful location. 5 stars and more

Brilliant character house for families
3 families of 4 stayed here for a week at New Year. The house was very well equipped with plenty of kitchen implements, large saucepans etc. Hot water was plentiful and the shops were a short walk away (including a fabulous bakery for croissants in the morning!) Lobster pot lift up to the Vanoise express is a 5 to 10 min walk. Good tip is to rent skis from Noz Sport 2000 so you can leave your skis and boots in their boot room and come back down the lift in regular footwear (though they are quite pricey). A fabulous week in a lovely place. The one slight issue was a smell of fuel oil near the bootroom which the owners should attend to, but that wasn’t enough to detract from a great stay.

About the host

Host profile image
Colin and Mel have been living in the Alps for the past 25 years settling finally in Peisey Nancroix. We have worked and skied in many areas of France but love the more traditional village resorts which have the added beauty of being linked to huge ski area. Now, with our children we have immersed ourselves in French life and enjoy sharing our passion of the area with our guests during the winter and summer.

Why they chose this property

Great skiing but based in a traditional village, a rare find these days!!

What makes this property unique

Gorgeous chalet which has been tastefully renovated with quirky details - the photos do not do it justice! With an old fashioned feel mixed with modern style - perfect. The outside looks like any ordinary house in a French village but when you enter inside especially the top floor everyone is surprised - it has been beautifully renovated!
