wonderful place to stay
Thank you Patsy for such a wonderful stay at Beaches & thanks Anne for meeting us and my goodness wheels within wheels with you and Allan having lived in the same street in Blyth!!!! - it was the perfect spot for us to catch up with the family in Blyth and surrounds - and truly relaxing after the long trip to get over to UK.. I loved being able to run along the prom every morning - and we were so lucky with great weather!! We had a car and that makes it easy to get around - we knew the area well so that's always a plus! We highly recommend this property and will return in the future!!!
Many thanks - Allan and Paula
A relaxing stay at a beautiful property. We all really enjoyed our stay. Stunning views and lovely walks. The host couldn't have been more helpful and the property had everything we wanted.
This very comfortable place was ideal for my wife, 3 son, and dog. Sea views from front room and bedrooms were amazing. The beach is directly accessible by a series of step with no road between. We have a well-behaved dog, and did not use the lead from house to beach. Our host Patsy was very responsive and took care of any minor issues very rapidly. Highly recommend even in the winter. I imagine it would absolutely incredible in the summer
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this lovely house and all the positive feedback about contact with Patsy in advance, the neighbor from down the street as well as all the house details are true, so what else can we say? :-) We‘d come back and stay longer if only we could.
This accommodation was lovely and the view from the front garden was excellent. It is a terrace house and the neighbours were very friendly. The only slight drawback was the back lane parking as the manoeuvre room was rather restricted.
This accomodation is lovely for a number of reasons. Very clean. Comfortable furniture and beds. Nice welcome basket. Amazing views of the sea. Friendly neighbours. Lots to do in the area.
Great location and views to die for. Parking a bit tight but lovely neighbours who were happy to move cars around.
We used the property as a base to attend a wedding and extended our stay to visit Alnwick and Holy Island - Newbiggin is a little tired and rundown and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area.
We had an excellent 3 night visit. The property is even better than the photos, and the location is incredible looking out to the sea. You have everything you need in the property and will definitely come back. Patsy was also a fabulous host and kept in touch throughout. Thanks.
Patricia was great to deal with and the welcome package was amazing.
We loved the property. Very clean and well equipped.
The views were gorgeous.
Supermarket, pubs and restaurants all in a short walk.
We definitely look forward to returning to Newbiggin by the Sea and staying here again.
We had a great stay over the Easter bank holiday. The location is perfect, house cannot be faulted and we we even lucky with the weather!
We will be back!
Thank you so much
On entering the property we were blown away, the view was outstanding. The house itself was beautiful and spotless clean. The owner had great communication when we asked about local things to do. Couldn't of asked for a nicer few days away, we will definitely be booking again.

Liked: Communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Expensive mistake
Very disappointed with stay, Although communication with owner was good the property was expensive and overall disappointing.
Internal walls should significant signs of damp and paint was peeling in a number of rooms. Water pressure in bathroom as reported before is very very low so shower is a trickle. Main bed mattress very poor condition and uncomfortable, dishwasher poorly installed the local odd job man confirmed this and said it would be a constant issue ,it was.
We had planned to stay 4 weeks due to delay house moved but left after two weeks and moved to a hotel,
The house is in a wonderful position overlooking the beach: we stayed there for 5 days with our 3 Granddaughters (2 aged 6 and one aged 11) who thoroughly enjoyed both the house and the beach despite some awful weather. Patsy, the owner, kept in touch both before and during our stay and there was a welcoming hamper waiting for us, My wife and I hope to return soon for some 'me' time.
Amazing, great location. The house is clean large and very cosy we will definitely recommend it. Friendly people great cake shop and the fish and chips were the best.

About the host
Hosted by Mrs Patricia Quinn
My family are originally from Northumberland and whilst visiting my mother, we came across our delightful house. With my husband and myself both leading busy lives, we find walking the beaches during the day and then settling in front of our log burner with a glass of wine the perfect way to relax. Our grown up chidren also enjoy a weekend break at the house with their partners; although they tend to go into Newcastle upon tyne for lively bars, posh restaurants and the theatre, as it is only a 25 minute drive away.
Why they chose this property
We bought the house because of its perfect seafront position. It has direct access to the beach. It offers wonderful coastal walks. We can put our wetsuit's on and go for a swim or paddle board .
What makes this property unique
The large farmhouse table is ideal for dinner parties with room enough for friends and family; whilst enjoying stunning views . Sea fishing from the beach is an early morning treat and the dogs are allowed on the beach from Sept until April but children can go any time When the sea is calm you can swim, paddle board or kayak.
