Casa da Levadinha is a one-storey country house with a double bedroom, lodging up to three persons, with a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room equipped with a salamander and a sofa-bed, thus having our guests gain an extra bed.
For those who are fond of comfort, this cottage offers the convenience of having a car-park right at the door. The origin of the name Levadinha comes from a water-course that runs throughout the year along the façade of the cottage, which originally belonged to a family of farmers.
Casas Valleparaizo are the only houses located in the lush Vale Paraíso near the village of Camacha, which is only 6 kilometers from Funchal . Our houses are part of a property of 80, 000 square meters, crossed by Levada da Serra do Faial .
On the island of Madeira , in the green parish of Camacha, you will find charming country houses, true gems of rural tourism, located on a former farm property in Vale Paraíso, just 15 minutes drive from Funchal.
The gardens that surround Casas Valleparaízo have an endemic flora, very rich and varied.
This region presents, to nature lovers and those who enjoy a good walk, several proposals of walk abouts along the various levadas, that way the visitor can come across many breathtaking Madeira Island sceneries, while he is walking through the Island's ancient water courses. Since Levada da Serra passes right through the estate, we suggest a walk about towards Santo da Serra, which would represent a less than one-hour walk to the centre of Camacha Village.
A walk towards Funchal is another option, one which would represent a four/five hours walk to Monte; firstly one walks until the end of Levada do Vale Paraíso, then one should go down until we reach Levada dos Tornos, which goes all the way to Monte. From Monte one can descend to Funchal by another of the island's tourist attractions, the wickerwork sledge or by the cable car. The route back to Camacha can be comfortably made by regional bus nr 129.
As said, we have a public bus nr. 129 that passes at the entrance of the property and goes to Funchal every day, every half hour or so.
We recomend our clients to rent a car, which makes it easier to visit all the island.
