Razzett Pepprina is a beautiful, converted 400 year old farmhouse with original features: high arched ceilings, exposed wooden beams & original rubble walls. The house was restored to a very high standard with 2 new upper floors added. Set in a quiet alley, a 5 minute walk from the bustling village 'Pjazza' with it's bars & restaurants. The farmhouse is exceptionally spacious and furnished with Maltese antiques, art and quality furniture. It has a well equipped stone kitchen and dining room with Smeg appliances & a luxurious living room with open fire. The living room overlooks the south facing terrace with private swimming pool, stone barbeque and offers all day sun. There are 3 large bedrooms. All bedrooms have balconies, en-suite bathrooms & restored antique beds. Via a spiral staircase, the top floor bedroom has 2 large roof terraces with panoramic views. The house is perfect for families and couples alike. Nursery equipment & toys provided.

Amazing property!

What can I say? This property is the best we have ever stayed in on Gozo, over the last 20 years of travelling there. the house is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The location for the square at Xaghra is an easy 5 minute walk. Every little niggle was sorted swiftly, with brilliant communication between the home owner, the cleaning lady, the pool man and the excellent Ruben. Will definitely be back, if Sue will let us :-) Many thanks from Sam, Gary and Ellie x

Family Holiday

Fantastic location! Stunning property! Very clean, and great information and welcome pack from the owner. The only negatives being, very poor Wi-Fi, and the pool area being small for 4 adults. The pool itself was great, but trying to move the sun beds in such a small area was tricky. But minor points in comparison to all of the positives this place offered.

Lovely family holiday

Lovely stone building with private pool, which we needed to escape the summer sun. Just a stones throw from the town square, there is a choice of nice restaurants and we walked in each morning for a coffee and to pick up meat from the butchers and fruit and other provisions from the supermarket. The beaches are busy in summer but we still managed to hire sun chairs and an umbrella when we arrived at 11am. There are lots of local noises which you get use to, including church bells, petards, fireworks and cockerels! You will also need c4 euros for the AC each night if you are there during summer. We had a great time and would recommend to other families.

Beautiful, spacious property in central Xaghra location

We enjoyed staying in this majestic, traditional Gozitan farmhouse. It was comfortable and clean and the owner left a welcome pack of food for our arrival which was very kind. Unfortunately we had no WiFi throughout our stay despite the owners attempts to rectify this through replacing the router. The property would also benefit from having more crockery, particularly bowls and mugs.

Fabulous!

A beautiful old house with a lovely pool and sun terrace, the interior is amazing, with stone and exposed brickwork and comfortable furniture. The place is spotless and very well equipped, Sue and Ruben were on hand to provide any extra information required.

Wonderful house in perfect location

Arriving late in the evening to find a bottle of Maltese wine chilling in the fridge, together with all the essentials for breakfast by the pool the next morning, was a very promising start to a fabulous 10 day stay in this wonderfully spacious, well equipped and very comfortable house. It is situated in a very quiet part of the village, within easy walking distance of restaurants, which are busy and popular so remember to book, and small shops for all your essentials. It is also very well situated for exploring all round the island. We are very grateful to Sue, the owner, who had made the whole process of booking, transfers, car hire etc so easy, and also to the car hire company and drivers that she organised who went out of their way to be helpful and told us so much about the island and its people. Thoroughly recommend this lovely house and Gozo for a perfect holiday. We also spent a few interesting days in Malta but decided Gozo was the winner by far.

Really beautiful property in a lovely location

The property is very beautiful and spacious. It is equipped to a very high standard and is one of the best self catering properties we have stayed in. This is the first time we have taken our two children abroad and the whole process, and organisation from the owners made it really easy and simple. The property was well equipped for the children, and with the pool and toys for them, my husband and I could truly relax. The location was lovely with the town being very child friendly. We were made to feel at home by all the locals. Buses and taxis were very easy to use when visiting all the historic locations (lots of which were in walking distance) and with everyone speaking good English our holiday was really easy. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and would love to visit again.

Fantastic Holiday

We stayed here for eight days in September and it was beautiful. The house itself is stunning with large open spaces and beautiful décor, there was fresh milk, bread and a bottle of Maltese wine to welcome us. The house was situated just off of Xaghra square, which offered lots of fresh local produce, cafe's and restaurants. It happened to be Xaghra festival for the first four days of our stay, where there was loads going on from horse racing on the streets, fireworks and a food festival in the evenings. The local people were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a fantastic holiday and we will defiantly be returning!

Just gorgeous!

We had 2 wonderful weeks at Razzett Pepprina and enjoyed every minute. The house is absolutely beautiful - cool, airy and well equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The position is very good and close to the pretty centre of Xaghra. The pool area had sun practically all day long so was perfect for lots of lazy lounging, sunny breakfasts or evening cocktails! A huge bonus for us was the aircon in the bedrooms - ensuring that even though it was really hot outside we could all still have a good night's sleep. Thank you to Sue and Ruben who made every aspect of the booking and the stay so easy. We will definitely be back!

Go to Gozo

First time we have travelled to Gozo , a lovely natural island with wonderful views , coast line and quaint villages and small towns . The property is large and in built in local lime stone , bedrooms are large with their own bathrooms . The kitchen is ideal for groups or families with good quality appliances. We enjoyed dips in the pool when it got hot in the afternoons and also enjoyed a BBQ . The local shops and cafés are very handy and we enjoyed some of the local restaurants in the evening . It was lovely to be in an unspoilt island and even when we visited some of the resorts they are not over bearing with high rise apartments or hotels . It was a lovely family break for us to chill out . We would not hesitate to return .

We live in the UK with our two young daughters. We got married in Gozo in 2000, and bought the farmhouse in 2006.

Why they chose this property

My mother is Gozitan, and we have a large family on the island, so the farmhouse is a natural second home. Xaghra is in the centre of the island and close to everything, with the farmhouse itself just off the lively village square, yet in a secluded alley away from crowds and traffic.

What makes this property unique

Our house manager will welcome you to the farmhouse, and be contactable throughout your stay. This is a truly authentic 400 year old farmhouse, with plenty of rustic charm. It has been lovingly renovated in traditional Gozitan style, and furnished to a very high standard. Often old houses have small rooms, whereas this farmhouse has unusually spacious and well proportioned rooms with high arched ceilings, offering plenty of light and air. Razzett Pepprina has the best of what Gozo has to offer - a real farmhouse in a quiet location, in the centre of Xaghra, in the centre of the island.
