As we arrived at this property, walking through the tree-lined pathway of fruit trees and flowers our initial impression of the property was basic, but has everything we need - then we saw the view - Wow!! Took our breath away at our stunning view of the sea and the mountains beyond, clear blue skies for almost all of our holiday in June. Great breakfast cooked by Katerina in the bar, such a lovely friendly lady, great understanding of English and had many lovely chats with both her and Yvonne on reception. Location suited us for a quiet relaxing holiday, about 1 min walk to a lovely pebbly beach, several restaurants within easy walking distance, long walk into town, about 30 mins, but that's not a problem for most people, taxi was 7/8 euros, and by far the best place to eat is about 5 mins walk past the supermarket the KriKri - absolutely amazing food, run by 2 of the friendliest brothers you could wish to meet who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal, even though waiting for the bill was a while as they didn't seem to want to let you go, giving my hubby a free beer and obviously the local Raki 😜 but please visit there if you get a chance. A must visit is Spinalonga, nr Plaka, former leper colony, reading the book The Island by Victoria Hislop would make this visit much more memorable, a must read. Pool was lovely, despite being totally in the shade from 5pm onwards, even more reason to stay on the beach longer. Only downside to our whole holiday was the mossies!! Next time will get a better repellent! There are lots of shrubs/trees around the bar area so we got bit loads, but that's the only thing I would say negative, everything else absolutely spot on for us😁
