Have you been daydreaming of an island vacation? Well grab your flip flops and beach gear because this home is less than a minute from the beach!

This 1500 sq ft home has amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico. The over-sized covered deck is the perfect spot to watch the waves and enjoy the cool Gulf breeze. The large deck table and chairs provide a great area for family meal times. A section of the deck is open, so you can catch some sun or enjoy the early morning sunrise with your coffee.

Inside this home you'll love the open concept living room, kitchen and dining area. You'll never forget you're on vacation at the beach, even when cooking, because there is a port hole window above the stove that looks straight to the beach!

Daydream Believer features comfortable furnishings and coastal decor. Each bedroom has it's own TV. The fourth bedroom is located on the ground level and has a separate entrance from the main house.

Did we mention it's dog friendly? This home allows dogs with an additional $100 non-refundable fee per pet. There is a max of two (2) dogs allowed and combined weight limit of 50 lbs.

Ground Level: Parking for 4 vehicles; Private Bedroom with separate entrance than the main house, Bedroom has a Queen Sleeper Sofa with a half bath and TV; Outdoor shower with both Hot & Cold water; Picnic table; Wooden Swing.

Main Level: Open living room, Dining and Kitchen with breakfast bar and bar stools; TV; Bedroom with 2 Twins and TV; Bedroom with King, bathroom and TV; Bedroom with Queen and TV; Shared hallway bath.

Subdivision Amenities: The City of Jamaica Beach offers a seasonal public pool for a daily per person fee, playground and picnic pavilion area. There is also a public boat launch and convenience stores nearby.

Location: 1 minute walk to the Beach; 14.6 miles to 61st Street; 17.7 miles to 25th and Strand; 13.8 miles to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

Note: This home has a 4 night minimum during the summer months.

This house is great!!!
We loved this property. You need new pictures because they painted the outside and it looks great! It wasn't on the first line of houses but we still had the view as if we did. The house is well stocked and the beds are so comfortable. The walk to the beach is nothing and we spent every morning and afternoon there. I will definitely rent this house again.

Extreme Rules of Rentor
The place was as advertised, and I have no complaints about the location or dwelling. My complaints revolve around rules and the contact of the rental company involved. 1. this place is listed as pet friendly, but nearly all of the rules regarding pets are just about the most restrictive and least friendly I can imagine. No owner of pets that I know, whom I told about these rules, think they make sense. Pet Friendly is a poor representation of the guidelines, and should instead be described as Pet Tolerant. 2. Communication with the rental company is extreme. They constantly bombard you with texts, emails, rental agreements that you must sign, all about rules and regulations. This is an obnoxious way to handle a vacation. I have used vrbo and other rental services for years, and this is the first time ever that I have been inundated with rules, agreements, and constant texts and emails. The idea, I assume, is to dissuade and discourage young people who want to throw house parties at the rental property from ever being there, and to frighten them of legal action should anything bad happen. But all this does is deter people who do not fall into that category from ever wanting to rent from you again. I just wanted a nice getaway for a couple of days, and though I did get it, I shouldn't have a constant fear that something I do might draw the ire of rental/property management company. Most vrbo/other rental places dont do this.

Peaceful beach retreat
Property was clean and comfortable and in a quiet area. Great view from the huge deck: perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and dinner/cocktails with an ocean view. Quick walk down the beach to the well-stocked grocery store. Wonderful place to enjoy the island of you want to get away from the busier seawall side.

R & R at Jamaica Beach
The property was nice but I found that for a weekend checking in on Friday at 3 pm and having to be out by 10 on Sunday you really aren’t getting a full weekend stay. I realize there are needs for check-in and check-out but that really cuts into the weekend you get no Sunday time as you are pressed to pack up and get out. The property was as advertised but the additional bedroom downstairs was a sleeper sofa and very uncomfortable. We picked this property for the reason it had a downstairs bedroom as one of our guests is blind and unable to get up and down stairs easily. It was disappointing. Overall the upstairs was as expected and worked out well.

LOVE this Beach House!
What a GREAT place! Lots of space, fabulous views, spacious deck, well appointed kitchen and easy beach access! My family said many times that “This is the BEST beach house!”. The only concern was the downstairs sleeper sofa…as mentioned in a July 2020 review, the head of the bed frame slips into a downward incline, making the bed awkward and uncomfortable for sleeping - if the bed was meant to accommodate TWO people, as indicated in the listing, it would be especially miserable! My brother ended up pulling the mattress off the frame onto the floor…not ideal. The broken sleeper sofa notwithstanding , overall, the house was excellent and we would definitely come back (and cross our fingers that the downstairs accommodations had been addressed)!!

Best beach trip yet!
Our family goes to Galveston every year. We usually stay on the west end in Pirates or Bermuda beach. This was our first year staying at Jamaica and we’ll definitely be booking here next year! The location of the house was perfect. We walked to the beach every morning and packed up our chairs and toys into a wagon every day. If you wanted to take your vehicle or golf cart on the beach that was available too. The best part of the house was the views from every angle. We enjoyed the breeze and shade on the deck and the porch swing on the first floor. Even from the kitchen window you can see the waves and your family on the beach. The neighborhood was easy to get to and filled with a good mix of locals and rental properties. All in all it was by far our favorite beach house yet!

Our first stay at Jamacia Beach
The house was really nice. It was clean, cool,and very spacious. The deck was great to hang out. It was a quick minute walk to the beach. Neighborhood was quiet. Check in and out was easy, communcation was awesome. I would definitely recommend and stay again. A plus was they are pet friendly. Thank you for an awesome family vacation!

Location is perfect. House had all supplies. We had a couple of nights of heavy storms,please check the skylight and porthole window in kitchen,they did leak Also the front doors leaked water into house. Otherwise vacation was perfect.

Sweet Spot
House had a wonderful view of the gulf from both the deck and the kitchen port window. The water was steps away. The main room and kitchen are open concept, and very easy to stay engaged with everyone while cooking. The laundry was next to the kitchen, and one could multi-task. The rooms and beds were fine, and each had extra floor fans if needed. The lower room was fine for an office, a sleeper sofa is available for overflow. Salt is in the air, so be aware of leaving any metal objects outside and rinse them well if you go on the beach (bicycles) or in the water. The neighborhood is in Jamaica Beach, TX. Ensure you use this city location for any shipments otherwise, USPS will not deliver. No problem for UPS or FedEx deliveries. Local stores nearby for groceries. Otherwise, drive 30 min into Galveston for larger stores. The main road outside has large shoulders for bicycling to the south end of the island. The location is far enough away from the downtown area of Galveston, to have the best of both worlds. The beach is hardpacked to drive on, but the kids can still dig within it. The water, it is about 1 - 10 feet deep out about 50 ft then appears to drop off to 20-40 feet. The water is good for body surfing and boogie boards but would recommend caution with children as waves can knock them over. Great place for family and friends.

Nice place but some issues
The house was as advertised however we had issues with the main TV (it's plug is deflective and had to be unplugged and plugged back in many times), the electricity supply (whenever the washer or dryer were on the lights constantly flickered) and the dishwasher (when it was on the sink would not drain and the disposal would shoot things up not down).

This house has an unobstructed view of the ocean!! Perfect for family beach get away. Large porch with lots of seating. The beach in front of house is private, so beach day is not overly crowded. Would highly recommend staying at this property!

First impression was the front door, paint worn thin and appeared dirty. Rest of the property was clean, minor water damage in the master bedroom ceiling, but no issues. We felt like there could have been a better paper, kitchen hand towels, soap for a weeks stay. Places we have stayed in the past had more. The property has a wonderful covered porch and a great view of the ocean. Other than the front row it had the best view and porch area! We would stay in this house again!

This property was really a 1 minute walk to the beach. The home was exactly as advertised. It provided enough room for our family of 10 to enjoy ourselves and not feel cramped. We will book this location again.
