Kilauea Waterfall Retreat with Kauai B&B/Homestay Permit #Z IV-2015-24

RiverSong is nestled in two tropical acres alongside Kilauea River. The river sings below and waterfalls splash beneath your private, secluded lanai. Our gardens abound with color from red ginger, gardenia, orange and yellow heliconia, purple and pink bougainvilla and multi colored plumeria blossoms. Palm trees gently sway outside the wide windows and scarlet flame trees tower overhead. Our guest suite with queen bed & private bath and lanai overlooking the river($175/nt) is perfect for couples.

Situated in the charming old plantation town of Kilauea we are close to private waterfalls, the South Pacific famed 'slippery slide,' hiking trails, kayaking and horseback riding as well as fine dining, boutique shopping and the Kilauea Lighthouse Wildlife Sanctuary, the northern most point of the Hawaiian Island chain.

Nearby are many fine beaches for great snorkeling, sunning, bodybording and surfing as well as the renown Priceville Resort unsurpassed golf only five miles away.

The magnificent NaPali coast and the hiking trailhead to Kalalau Valley are only 12 miles away at the end of one of the most beautiful, breathtaking, scenic drives you will ever find.

Home away from Home
Nicki is a charming and generous host. We stayed for a week and felt very spoiled by the time we left. She was available to answer questions and suggest some activities, but left you to enjoy her peaceful property. We found the Lanai was lovely for breakfast or dinner. The sound of the water passing by the property blocked all other noise so we felt like we were in our own oasis. Very, very grateful for our time here. Thanks again Nicki.

Waterfall view haven!
Nicki was a fabulous host who went above and beyond with a delicious breakfast each morning. We left and item behind and she graciously supported us picking it up. Views and the sound of the waterfall outside the lanai cannot be beat.

Beautiful experience!
This property is lovely, but it is the care given by the owner that really makes this an amazing experience. I havenʻt been at a B&B for decades, but this took me back to days when hospitality was an art form. Nicki is warm and inviting. She made home baked goodies for breakfast each morning (different goodies each day: almond scones, French toast, fresh fruit from the islands, etc.). We ate breakfast on the lanai overlooking the river. She replaced the plushy towels every day, and provided beach chair, towels and excellent local advice for our outings. The bed was comfy and the home is gorgeous. The town of Kilauea is not touristy; it creates a family / community feeling. This really was a 100% delightful experience. Weʻll be back!

Amazing!
Nicki is the best and the location is the best! My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary here and loved every bit of it. With a private view of the waterfall, the balcony to sit out on, proximity to fun activities, and of course the breakfasts! Every question we had Nicki answered and made us feel right at home. Definitely put Riversong at the top of your list!

Hidden Gem of the North Shore!!!
My husband and I celebrated my birthday here for the weekend and had the best time staying at this sweet B&B. We felt incredibly welcomed and taken care of the whole time, and Nicki was friendly, warm, and helpful. This place is honestly a hidden gem, the views and sounds of the river and jungle were literally magical, unlike anything you’d find at a hotel. The room also had so much character and hawaiian art which I LOVED, and the bed was very comfortable! The true highlight for us though was waking up to a fresh home cooked breakfast every morning. We saved so much time and money by not having to eat out, and the meals were all delicious. Overall we had such a perfect stay here and would love to come back next time we visit Kauai. Thank you Nicki for welcoming us in your home and for making our trip so much more special, it was lovely to meet you ❤️

RiverSong was perfect for staying at a BnB near where my daughter lives. It is well situated between the North Shore of Kauai and Lihue + destinations to the South. Nicki was a wonderful host and the room was exactly suited to my needs for this trip. A big Plus to have the privacy, homey-ness, and easy launching to the beaches near Kilauea!

Amazing B&B in Kauai!
We loved staying at this adorable B&B and would book here again in a heartbeat. The room is spacious and on it's own side of the house so you still feel like you have a lot of privacy. Beautiful views from the private lanai and we slept like babies falling asleep to the sounds of the river. Nicki was so nice and made the most delicious breakfasts every morning! Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Truly a little piece of paradise!
Oh my, this was such a heavenly place to stay. Nicki is just delightful and she made our stay even more memorable. She was kind, gracious and so flexible with us. She is such a lovely person! After flying literally all day, my husband and I walked into our beautiful room with the gentle breeze and sound of the river rushing by, and immediately felt the stress of the day melt away. It was breathtaking! So clean and well maintained. There is a small fridge and microwave if needed, fresh towels, a comfy bed and an incredible view from the lanai. Every morning Nicki brought delicious breakfasts with a lovely presentation, which we ate on the lanai enjoying the beautiful gardens and river as the sun rose. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you, Nicki!

Holiday at Riversong
It was a very nice and beautiful home of Nicki the host. We got wonderful breakfast every morning. You felt the love Nicki was giving for that. The location was also perfect to explore the beautiful north of Kauai. I can highly recommend to stay at this wonderful place called Riversong , because of the waterfall near the house. This private room in the host's house overlooking a rushing stream and waterfall in north shore area of Kauai was breathtaking. The room was well appointed, the host helpful and nice, the sound of the waterful relaxing, and the neighborhood quiet and safe. And the breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.

What a gorgeous house!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Nicki made lovely breakfasts and took good care of us. Her homemade breads are delicious. The view out of the back is beautiful. We walked to a lovely hike and had quick walks and drives to several local restaurants. Plenty of privacy. Much enjoy No regret.

Perfect for Overdue Honeymoon
Riversong was the perfect, private location for my wife and I to take our 8 year overdue honeymoon. Nikki was a phenomenal host, who shared her local advice, and served stunningly delicious breakfasts. My wife and I are looking forward to our next stay. My first visit to Kauai was in 1980 and it was indeed 'love at first sight'. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, I had lived in CA all my life. While visiting Kauai in December 1999 anticipating the change into the year 2000, I was introduced to RiverSong and my life was forever changed ....See for yourself how very special it is at RiverSong
