2 bedroom apartment with a great location downtown Funchal by the beautiful gardens and no hills to climb. The apartment has air conditioning and Netflix. The apartment is all about location within 5 minutes walk from the promenade and Marina where most buses stop, the Cathedral or cable car station. It is also within walking distance from the most important monuments of Funchal, the Theatre, The Ritz Café, The Golden Grand Café, the very typical Market and Old Town where there is a swimming area called Barreirinha. All amenities are within a stone's throw as it is also close to the La Vie Shopping Centre, opened every day with a 24/7 pharmacy and a large supermarket Pingo Doce on the bottom floor. Lots of possibilities for visitors to easily discover the town.
The apartment has free parking, upon availability.
It has just undergone a complete renovation, new kitchen/breakfast bar, new bathroom and air conditioning.

Perfect place to stay!
We were very impressed with the unit, the location and the service. Elsa, her daughter, Maria and Roberto in the office downstairs were all very helpful. There's really nothing I can fault! Hope to be able to go back soon.

Central location with parking
The apartment is centrally located with easy access to all that Funchal has to offer. The host is very friendly and helpful and was quick to answer any questions we had. The host met us on arrival and showed us the apartment and how to access the private car park. The apartment was clean, very comfortable and well-equipped. The description is very accurate. There is a lift but there are a few steps leading up to it which is worth noting if accessibility is an issue. Overall, we had an excellent stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

This property is very nice and in a great location. Close to everything in funchal which is a wonderful town. The only thing that is a bit inconvenience is the construction at this building at this time. It is very loud 8:00am til around 5:00pm daily.Elsa is very easy to deal with.

Sehr gute Lage, gute Ausstattung, recht bequeme Betten. Parkplatz gleich um die Ecke in privaten Teil des Supermarkt Parkhauses. Super freundliche Gastgeberin, die sich immer gekümmert und uns mit allen Infos versorgt hat.

Really great apartment
Clean, great location, surprisingly large apartment. Only downside was the roof fan which makes an annoying noise when spinning. Aside from that we loved the place!

Super Appartement mitten in der Altstatt
Tolles Appartement, Elsa ist eine tolle Vermieterin. In der Küche ist alle was man braucht, super eingerichtet, sehr ruhig, kleiner Balkon, alles in der Nähe. Der Stellplatz ist ca. 100m in einer gesicherten Tiefgarage. Alles bestens, würden wieder hier übernachten.

Perfektes Stadtdomizil
Die Wohnung hat eine perfekte Lage mitten in Funchal. Um Funchal pur zu erleben, ist man hier richtig! Die Wohnung ist stilvoll und mit allem was man braucht, ausgestattet. Wie in allen Innenstädten ist die Parkplatzsituation nicht einfach. Aber Elsa ist behilflich bei einer Lösung und innerhalb der Stadt benötigt man ja auch kein Auto.

Casa muito bem situada, pertissimo da marina, com espaço amplo para os hóspedes. Pena na localização existir um jardim que junta muito toxicodependentes mas que não se metem com ninguém nem arranjam problemas, por isso não há perigo de seguranca, apenas podem pedir uma moeda de vez em quando. Espaço bem limpo e a sra Elsa é simpática e encontra-se sempre disponível no caso de existir alguma situação. Uma experiência a repetir sem dúvida.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung
Lage: Perfekt. Die Ferienwohnung ist zentral in Funchal gelegen, unmittelbarer Nähe des Jardim Municipal. Zu Fuß ist der Hafen und die Innenstadt in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Einkaufen kann man im 2 Minuten entfernten Einkaufscenter La Vie. Parken in einer 5 Minuten entfernten Tiefgarage unmittelbar an der Strandpromenade. In unmittelbarer Umgebung eine Vielzahl von Cafes, Bars und Restaurants, von einfach bis gehoben, von einheimisch bis Touristennepp. Nachteil: Funchal ist eine laute Stadt, in der Umgebung ist immer was los, bis zur lärmenden Müllabfuhr nachts und am frühen Morgen. Haus: Die Ferienwohnung liegt im zweiten OG eines Hauses aus den 1970er Jahren. Es gibt einen neuen Aufzug. Müll wird, wie auf Madeira üblich auf dem Hauswirtschaftsbalkon gesammelt und dann in die öffentlichen Müllbehälter um die Ecke am Park entsorgt. Ausstattung: entspricht genau der Beschreibung in der Anzeige. Die Betten sind weich, für unseren Geschmack zu weich. Außer dem Sofa leider keine wirklich bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten, die Stühle sehen hübsch aus, sind aber unbequem. Außer der Küchentheke gibt es nur einen niedrigen, gläsernen Wohnzimmertisch (und einen halbrunden Wandtisch). Gemeinsames Essen mit 4 Personen ist da schwierig. Küche ist ordentlich ausgestattet. Der Stauraum im Schrank ist nicht üppig. Das Bad ist bei einer Belegung von mehr als 2 Personen doch recht klein. Betreuung: Sehr angenehm! Elsa war sehr freundlich, stets erreichbar und immer kurzfristig zur Stelle, für den "Notfall" gibt es auch direkt im Haus einen Ansprechpartner. Elsa hat auch unseren Transfer zum Flughafen übernommen, Preis zu einem normalen Taxipreis. Fazit: Gerne wieder

Well equipped and comfortable apartment. Very well situated in the centre of Fuchal, easy walking distance to town centre, buses and all facilities. Highly recommended . We will return.

Alles vor der Haustür
Elsa und ihre Familie haben für einen unbeschwerten Urlaub gesorgt. Alles hat prima geklappt! Vielen Dank dafür. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Lage der Wohnung - nur ein paar Schritte vom hübschen Jardim Municipal entfernt. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten von Funchal liegen fast vor der Haustür. Die Wohnung in der 2. Etage ist über die bequeme breite Treppe gut zu erreichen - ein Fahrstuhl steht aber kurz vor der Fertigstellung. Das Wohnzimmer ist freundlich eingerichtet - viele Bücher, Infomaterial und auch deutsches TV - dazu ein kleiner schattiger Balkon mit Blick auf die Straße. Selbstverpfleger finden eine üppig ausgestattete offene Küche vor, von der wir allerdings keinen Gebrauch gemacht haben. Daneben liegt ein abgeschlossener Hauswirtschaftsbalkon (Waschmaschine usw.). Zwei ausreichend große Schlafzimmer mit sehr (!) bequemen kuscheligen Betten. Im Haus ist es auch tagsüber sehr ruhig und nachts hört man dann auch keinen Straßenverkehr mehr. Das Bad ist zwar nicht sehr groß, aber recht sauber und modern eingerichtet (praktische Dusche, Handtuchwärmer und ausreichend Stauraum). Leider hatten wir auch ein paar recht kühle Tage mit Regen und starkem Wind , da geriet der kleine Radiator im Wohnzimmer schnell an seine Grenzen. Alles in allem eine Wohnung zu einem angemessenem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, in der wir uns wohl gefühlt haben und die wir gerne weiterempfehlen.

Great stay in Funchal
Great apartment for a stay in Funchal. Centrally located by the park and easy to find your way anywhere in town. It has a well equipped kitchen. Elsa and her mother are there to answer any questions. There is so much to see and do on Madeira Island and the central location of the apartment made it easy to access the bus system or taxi's when ever we needed. Tourist information is near by, and the harbour is a short walk. The street the apartment is on was quiet so sleeping was not disrupted. Lots of great restaurants and cafes within a minute or two walk as is the big shopping centre with a grocery store. Highly recommend staying here. Will be back!

Mutter-Tochter-Urlaub ...rundum glücklich
Eine suuuuper Wohnung; endlich mal ein Angebot wo die Fotos mit der Realität übereinstimmen !!! Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden was man braucht, super sauber, ruhig gelegen trotz Nähe zum Hafen und Zentrum, Der Supermarkt und Gemüseladen ums Eck, Bus-Stopp 500m entfernt. Im 2. Stock mit kleinem Balkon. Wir hatten eine super Kommunikation mit Elsa, die eine Abholung vom Flughafen organisiert hat. Sandra hat uns gleich erkannt und hat uns noch einige Geschäfte gezeigt, bevor wir die Wohnung bezogen haben. Es gibt sogar einen Backofen und Mikrowelle, Toaster und Kaffeemaschine und Kessel. Wir waren Selbstversorger, waren auch mal zum Essen aus; in der Umgebung gibt es viele gute Restaurants. Wir haben vorab Wanderungen gebucht über weltweit wandern Madeira....unbedingt rechtzeitig vorbuchen.....tolle Elebnisse ....Führerin Barbara war die beste !!! Die Betten waren weich :)) aber es gab RICHTIGE Decken !!! keine Wolldecke mit Laken. Alles in allem: Das beste, was wir seit langem hatten und absolut zu empfehlen !!! Danke Elsa !!!! es war zauberhaft

Ich habe die Wohnung gebucht und bezahlt, aber nicht bezogen.
In der deutschen Version wurden Parken/Garage als Teil des Pakets angeboten. Das war jedoch nicht der Fall. Auf Rückfrage wurde ein Parkplatz in der Umgebung gegen eine relativ hoheGebühr angeboten. Das war für mich völlig inakzeptabel und führte zur Stornierung. Die Vermieterin sah das völlig anders und war zu keinem Entgegenkommen bereit. Das Objekt ist von sehr engen Einbahnstraßen umgeben, was Anhalten und/oder Parken zu einem Abenteuer macht . Wer also mit einem Leihwagen ankommt, sollte sehrvorsichtig sein. Außerdem ist es dort sehr laut.

Great Holiday in Madeira
Lovely apartment, suits us as we like to relax and do our own thing and not have to meet meal times in hotels. The apartment is well equipped with all relevant facilities including an oven and washing machine. Wifi is free and really good as we where using an Amazon Fire stick, tablet and phone. This was our second visit to Elsa's apartment and Elsa was helpful and explained everything we needed to know. Location is central Funchal which we want near the Municipal Gardens, supemarket a couple of minutes walk which is great for us as we like to self cater rather than meals out.
