Rare Absolute Beachfront Cottage - Jervis Bay Views

Absolute beachfront 1960s beach house – with all modern comforts! Perfect for laid back beach holidays with magnificent views of Jervis Bay. Wake up to the sounds of the waves, walk just a few steps onto the white sand, dive into the turquoise water and watch dolphins swim by at sunset from the deck.

Dolphincove is a cosy and comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach house with a well-equipped kitchen, BBQ, laundry and reverse-cycle air conditioning. Rinse the sand off with an additional outdoor shower and enjoy Wi-Fi and a smart TV with Netflix.

Please note that there is a security camera monitoring the external entrance to the property. This will normally be turned off during guest stays, technology permitting.

Beachfront bliss

This well appointed cottage had everything I wish for in a beach house , waterfront location ,simple but comfortable and cosy , beachy styling and decor , relaxing in every way . Hosts have thought of everything a guest might need , especially for a keen cook ! Stunning beach walks . Deck chairs . Perfect!

A cup filler

As parents we couldn't have asked for more. The kids were able to enjoy the beach multiple times a day without the hassle of packing and unpacking the car. We were able to relax and breathe and take in the view (which was absolute perfection!). Checking in and out was a breeze and Gerald was lovely to communicate with. Will definitely stay again.

Amazing

It was amazing. We saw dolphins on two of the days we were there. Great location right next to the water. We didn't realise when booking that Callala bay is a bit quieter compared to Huskisson but this suited us nicely anyway. Loved the decor, was clean would come back again.

Dolphincove is very good

Upon arrival, check in was very simple. Once we opened the door we were greeted with the view of the beach. Prime location. Free wifi and Netflix, bed is comfy, was a bit puzzled with the flannel sheets on in got a bit warm at night but Amenities are good. Nice big shower head. Perfect place to stay. If you ever get hungry for pizza visit Calabrisella Woodfired Pizza up the road. By far the best. Also visit something seafood for you fish & chips. Would return in the future.

Excellent location lovely property

Gorgeous location and very well supplied. Views were breathtaking. Everything was perfect! We were able to watch the whole eclipse over Jervis Bay from our front porch! Loved it!

Psst don’t tell anyone

Dolphincove is PARADISE. Perfect antidote for city living. Cute little house on the beach. Like RIGHT on the beach!!! No house or road between the house and the beach. We watched the sun rise over the headland and bay every morning and listened to the soft waves crashing all day and night. Great beach for walks. Really peaceful. Super clean. Kitchen well appointed. IGA and fantastic butcher in Callala Bay.

Best getaway after lockdown

As soon as we opened the door, we already fell in love. The view was breathtaking. The dolphins showed up an hour after we checked in, and then made regular appearances until just before we left on day4. We loved the nice walks especially my in laws. The beach is not busy at all, and the locals are very friendly. The private access to the beach was steep, maybe because of previous high tides but we managed to slide down a small dune to get to the sand and use the public access to go back to the house which is just a few houses away. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. I love all the decors too! There was a bit of a surprise incident with the newly installed security system but Gerald talked us through accessing the locked room to stop the alarm as it was then too late in the night for the housekeepers to come over. I highly recommend staying in Dolphincove, and we will surely be back soon!

So very peaceful just listening to the waves.

Loved everything about our stay. All we could hear was the waves, and long walks along the beach were fabulous. We had everything we needed, plus some. My tip would be to take everything you need food and drink wise with you, because you won’t want to leave the house and view.

Dolphin cove by name Dolphin Cove by nature

Fabulous beach front property and spectacular views. Property is as advertised so couldn't ask for more. We loved our stay at dolphincove and even caught sight of resident dolphins of Jervis Bay. Host was accessible even though we didn't need him and our 3 year old son is still raving about the dolphin house.

I live in Sydney with my wife. We have been coming to Callala Beach since 1993. We try and get down at least once a month and so keep a close watch on the property and its maintenance.

Why they chose this property

We stumbled on to Callala Beach after reading a magazine article. It took only the first visit for us to fall in love with the place. However, it took another year before we found Dolphincove - we named it after the dolphins that swim past the cottage most days.

We started coming to Callala Beach when our son was a toddler. Now we are privileged to see our grandchildren play on the same sand.

We love it for its quietness - truly a place to get off the grid. Ten people on this 5km beach is a crowd. Even in stormy weather, it is highly therapeutic to don a jacket and to go for a long stroll. When it is sunny, the water is crystal clear. Avoid getting frightened by your own shadow on the seabed like I did, that first weekend.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy going to sleep and waking up to the sound of waves. The night air is so clear that you get an amazing view of the Milky Way. It's smaller size means that it is highly affordable for couples or small families and still be on the beach. Most other properties in the area are much larger. Although Callala Beach itself is very quiet, you are within easy driving distance to many amenities in the area. For overseas rentals, we are looking at stocking the fridge with enough food to get you settled in. Please ask for information when booking. All rentals receive a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival.
