Location was spot on, and the property was ideal for four of us. Beds were comfy and all was good bar a lack of electric from the plugs on the top two floors which ruined my plan to spend the weekend in the jacuzzi bath! We didnt contact the owners as it caused us very little bother. There are approx 20 varied pubs within half a mile, heaven.

Great
IT was nicely situated in Town. Rooms were fine. Only some little suggestions: it would be nice to have a chair in the upper bedroom in front of the table with mirror. Also in the double bedroom. It would be nice to have more things to hang the bathroom towels. In the kitchen would it be handy to have a lid on the frying pan. Apart from these wishes, we really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. The owners were really nice and gave us a lovely welcome !! Thank you very much!!!!

Great place to stay
Great property. Though not for someone with mobility problems as there are a few flights of stairs. Very comfortable. Great bathroom and comfy bed. Very centrally located and great to have seasonal parking permit. A bit noisy with traffic outside.

lovely and comfortable
This is such a beautiful and cosy apartment. Right in centre of high street everything was at easy distance. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it on the dates for which we had made the booking and Lorraine was kind enough to let us reschedule our stay instead of letting the money go to waste. Kevin was very helpful and nice when we met him and explained everything we needed to know straight up. The easiest part was keys pick up and drop off. The apartment is spacious and across three floors so kind of fun. If I visit Buxton again and place is available I am definitely booking it again.

We had a wonderful time in Buxton - also thanks to the great accommodation. The apartment has a superb location in Buxton and many places in the Peak District are easily accessible by bus or train; also it is clean and spacious. Lorraine and Kevin are very nice and helpful. A recommendation !

Lovely place, good location
We booked this apartment for 2 nights but we didn't really spend much time in the apartment so there may be somethings that we have missed. The owners were very accommodating because we asked for an early check in and there was easy system to drop off the keys as we left quite early. The apartment was well furnished and clean, it also had a number of additional touches such as books, games and some kitchen extras like milk and bread. The apartment is within an easy walk of the town center and there is a Sainsbury's just round the corner.

Modern apartment. Bright and airy. Good location. Great find.
We arrived and were welcomed by the owner, Kevin (having spoken to his wife, Lorraine, on the phone for helpful directions). He showed us around and we were taken with the apartment straight away. The first thing I noticed was how tastefully it had been decorated throughout. The sitting room was smail but did the job. The kitchen had a breakfast bar which our two 6 year olds loved! The double bedroom and bathroom were spacious but the biggest hit was the attic/mezzazine bedroom that the girls commandeered. They are still talking about it as one of the highlights of our holiday! I would point out (as I'm sure the owners have, that the stairs are steep and the steps narrow so would not suit younger children). We had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it unreservedly.

absolutely enjoyed our stay
Stayed for two weeks with my family - great apartment, enough space for everyone, there are books to read, TV to watch and board games to play. Kitchen is nice and well-equipped. Located right in the centre of the town, few minutes walk to Market square. Shops to buy groceries and plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area. The hosts are amazing people and we would certainly recommend this place to anyone.

lovely clean flat, very helpful owners
Flat was great, stairs quite steep, but not a problem for us, very convenient to walk into town. Quite a bit of road noise, we not used to that, if I came just 2 of us again would be back, any more of us would look at somewhere else. But overall definitely worth a visit.

Lovely central apartment
Great location for a weekend in the peak district. The apartment is lovely and well furnished throughout. Walking distance to the main buxton attractions, bars and restaurants (we ate at the Greek and it was delicious ). Also a great base to drive out to the start of some great walks. We did the mam tor/lose hill ridge walk and luds church. The communication with the owners Lorraine and Kevin was great. Highly recommend.

Great location
We were looking for a centrally located property in Buxton and solomons peak fitted the bill. The apartment itself is clean and the bedrooms and bathroom are spacious. It is well equipped, the compact kitchen has everything you need. The weather was turning cold when we were there but the central heating system did a cracking job at keeping us toasty. Kevin was very helpful and responsive. A down side for us was the traffic noise from outside but then we do live on a pedestrianised street so maybe we're just a bit sensitive. We also have a 10 month old light sleeping baby so we cringed every time a loud vehicle went past. We found the stairs to the top bedroom quite steep when wrestling with a wriggly baby and the lack of allocated parking a struggle when carting baby bumf to and fro (I hasten to add getting a parking space 100 yards away was never an issue). Wifi signal was limited but we got by with 3G. These are minor niggles only and are probably quite specific to our circumstances. Overall, great value, great facilities and lovely owners.

Brilliant holiday base!
The apartment is clean and spacious-just as depicted in the pictures. It is centrically placed for the peak district attractions and has a lot going on locally. Shops ,pubs and restaurants are all on your doorstep. We had no problems finding places to eat where they accepted our dog sitting with us. The apartment has books,DVD's and games and was a real home from home where we could relax when we were grounded by bad weather. If returning to the area I would have no hesitation on booking again.

Excellent base for a Peak District break
We’ve just returned from a week at this apartment. We found it to be clean, spacious and nicely decorated (welcome pack was a thoughtful touch). Kevin and Lorraine were very helpful too. The only thing I would mention is that the stairs are pretty steep, much more than house stairs (hand rails provided though). Its location is brilliant, being a 5/10 minute walk from the centre of Buxton. It was really nice not to have to use the car some days. Plenty of nice pubs, cafes and restaurants to eat out in and shops to browse around. Pavilion Gardens are 5 minutes walk away and are fabulous. The apartment is also well situated for the rest of the Peak District. We especially liked the Heights of Abraham, Speedwell Cavern and Pooles Cavern (10 min walk from the apartment). For the price, this apartment offers fantastic value for money and an all-round great holiday base.

Bustling Buxton Break
We spent 4 nights at this lovely apartment. It was spacious, clean, modern and a perfect base for both walking in the Peak District and making the most of all Buxton has to offer. We had never stayed in an apartment before and I was a bit concerned the children would miss the outside space but with the Pavilion gardens less than a 5 minute walk away it was not a problem. The kids said it was the best place they had ever stayed. They loved the contemporary decor and the jacuzzi bath. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a short break with lots of different activities right on the doorstep - no need to use your car once you're there.
