Zoe was very welcoming, offering advice on the local area and making our stay memorable. The cottage is beautiful and perfect for a small family. We found absolutely everything we needed was provided, which made life so much easier when staying away from home. Thank you Zoe and family for a perfect stay!
The farmhouse is set in a very quiet rural location yet close enough to so many places to explore. It’s a great location to be able to visit various beaches and towns as its situated fairly centrally to lots of them. The cottage itself is of a good size and equipped with everything you need. Zoe, Murray and their family are very welcoming and leave so nice touches in the cottage for your arrival. Scones, wine, chocolates at the bedside etc. If I were to make only one criticism it would be that the fridge is quite small for any guests who may be stopping for longer periods. The weather was fantastic whilst we were there which always makes a difference but this was a very enjoyable week.
We spent the last 2 weeks of August at this lovely little cottage. It was excellently places for navigating round Cornwall, the owners Zoe and Murray were lovely. Our little boy spent some quality time playing with the owners little boy, he made him very welcome. Beautiful fresh eggs from their daughter made breakfast a delight!
Would highly recommend this little haven and will definitely be making another trip to stay here in the future!!
Excellent, cosy and well equipped cottage; a good base to explore Cornwall. Zoe made us very welcome with eggs, cream scones and a bottle of wine waiting.

Lovely Cottage
Lovely cottage set in a rural location just outside of Redruth in Cornwall. Very nice welcome pack of scones, clotted cream and homemade jam along with eggs and tea, coffee and milk to start the holiday off. Great central location for travelling to nearby beaches ans seaside towns like Padstow, Newquay, St Ives and Penzance. And the owners kindly posted some earrings back to me that I had accidentally left there.
Thoroughly recommend.

Disappointing accommodation, not a representation of property description.
We did not enjoy our stay in this property. I have already written a detailed report to the agent, which up until yesterday had not been acted upon. So I will be brief here.
The advertising photos give a false impression. The property smelt of musty damp. The living room rug and stair carpet was grubby and stale smelling. The laminate floor in the living room was lifting. The living room fire place was a joke. The living room did not have a homely cottage feel. The place had not had a deep clean probably in years. The window adjacent to the stairs was filthy. There was large amounts of fluff and dust under the bed and dressing table. The bed felt damp and clammy. The kitchen was described as "new", well it used to be. The cupboard in the hallway which contained sweeping brushes was filthy. We only spent the minimum amount of time here and enjoyed all of the time spent away from it. Will not use the agent in the future.

A warm welcome from the owners including home produce & cream tea.
Good accommodation with everything I needed and in a very peaceful location. Owners there if needed but did not impinge.

Beautifully presented cottage
Couldn't have been happier with the cottage- very clean and comfortable and hosts thought of everything- even toys for baby. Was great to have use of bikes, also good selection of DVDs and local info. Attention to detail was much appreciated! Beautifully presented and lots of thoughtful extras added a touch of luxury which gave it a hotel feel. Was lovely finding cream teas, eggs and wine on arrival- it was perfect! Also good value. Highly recommended.

This is our third visit to this cottage and remains the best that we have ever stayed in for our holidays over a great many years. Nothing to complain about - everything you could hope for.

Very nice cottage
The cottage is very nice decorated and very well equipped. We spend some restful days there.
We were delighted with the nice welcoming cupcakes, eggs and wine.
We met Zoe on our third day, she is a very friendly person. Since she was not at home on our arrival she made sure that her neighbour was arround.
It was easy to explore the south of cornwall from there - most places < 1 hour driving.
We would recommend staying there!
Kind regards,
Melina and Robin

Rural Retreat
Arrived rather late and to a very warm welcome from owner. Cream tea complete with home produce which was a great extra touch.
House attached to owners. Not a problem. They made sure I had everything, then let me get on with my holiday undisturbed.
House just the right size. Good level of equipment in kitchen, which was important as I like cooking, and tv/settees for chilling out. Bed big and comfy.
Location great for me. Quiet/rural but easy to get to so many fantastic places including mile after mile of fab coastal path. Also next to a coast to coast cycle (or walking) path.
No complaints and I will definitely be back!

Superb!!!
Had the best stay ever, wish we could have stayed longer. Zoe and Murray are the perfect hosts, fantastic customer service, photos were accurate, absolutely clean and well looked after, and they know their history of the area. We were on a family history trip and couldnt believe how lucky we were to stay right in the middle of where our families lived in the 1500-1890 or so. They have a top notch property and would recommend to anyone. Will return and book longer if we ever get back to Cornwall. Thank you Zoe,Murray and familyv for the perfect stay. About the host
Hosted by Zoe Nelson
We are a small family run business offering quality 4 star accommodation at affordable prices. Manor Farmhouse Cottage is attached to our farmhouse and is lovingly maintained by ourselves with great pride and enjoyment. In fact, it has been completely redecorated and refurnished for 2017 season! Our names are Murray & Zoe Nelson and we have two children Holly & Aidan. We also share our lives with numerous free range chickens that provide us with the most delicious eggs! Max & Charlie are our very friendly (but contained!) sprockers and we recently welcomed Elsa & Pebble, Holly's dwarf hamsters. We love welcoming our guests to Manor Farmhouse Cottage where you are sure to have a fantastic and well rested holiday.
Why they chose this property
As soon as we saw Manor Farmhouse we knew this was the perfect home to bring up our family, it took our breath away and we feel very lucky. It's rural but central location makes it an ideal hide-away but easily accessible for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer. Located up an unmade lane amidst a hamlet of five other properties it is extremely quiet and the distinct lack of traffic makes very peaceful sleeping (except for the owls!). The local area is beautiful and perfect for cycling, walking and appreciating the Cornish landscape. Our local beach is only five minutes away so we feel we get the best of both worlds, country life as well as sea life!
What makes this property unique
Manor Farmhouse Cottage is located centrally in Cornwall which makes it a brilliant base to explore all of Cornwall, you will want to return as many do! The local villages of Chacewater & St Day offer brilliant local amenities and there are some fantastic local pubs nearby. The fish 'n' chip shops are becoming very famous in our visitors book too! Our location is in the middle of the coast-to-coast cycle path, the ancient mineral tramway that takes you from Portreath to Deveron passing old tin mines that are a feature of Cornwall's landscape. Therefore we offer mountain bikes and child’s trailer van to enable you to explore them, all free of charge. There are no hidden charges as we want you to relax and have a stress free time, which we guarantee we shall do everything we can to ensure.
