Charming 5* Split Level Three Bedroom Cottage with Large Gardens and Sea Views

Serene, Stylish, Distant Sea Views and Beautiful Colours. This adorable, award winning, two storey cottage has been lovingly restored in harmony with its surroundings. The charming low beamed sitting room with limed oak floors and deep comfortable sofas is set around the wood burning stove and inglenook fireplace. Blue painted French Windows open onto the flagstone terrace with BBQ. Just a couple of steps up is the master bedroom with its duck-egg blue walls, a view over the fields and a fantastic walk in shower. Two further bedrooms lie upstairs – one with a double, the other with twin beds and a bathroom to share – see the owner’s drawings on the walls. This beautiful cottage has tranquil colours, fresh fabrics and a clever mix of old and new. The gardens are a delight at all times of year and change with the seasons. There are breathtaking views across the Llyn Peninsula from the patio where you can watch splendid sunsets. Seclusion is guaranteed!

Tyn Llech nestles on the private, leafy Wern Estate on the edge of Snowdonia. This is the gateway to enjoy the very best that the Llyn Peninsua has to offer. The mountains of Snowdonia; the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways; Glorious Castles; Walking, Sailing and Fishing. The delightful seaside town of Criccieth is only minutes away, with its sandy beach and splendid Castle, as is the superb beach at Black Rock. The owner of the cottage is David Williams-Ellis whose great uncle (Clough Williams-Ellis) designed nearby Portmeirion.

Cosy cottage

We enjoyed our stay in this cosy, well equipped cottage. Good communication with the owner, easy check-in and helpful information pack. This part of Wales is gorgeous. As well as all the obvious stuff, we especially enjoyed lunch at Dylan's in Criccieth, Harlech castle and cafe, and the National Trust cottage at Plas yn Rhiw.

Comfortable Cottage

Property internally was as described - very comfortable - good standard. However we did expect the property to be set further within the estate. You can hear the road from the garden & from inside with the window open. It wasn't as tranquil or secluded as we thought but IT IS on a quiet lane in a practical location short drive to Criccieth, Black Rock Beach & Porthmadog for groceries. Highly recommend Criccieth Golfing - great for families. As is Zip World & Dragon Activity Centre for Segways, Paint Balling & Quad Biking. Surf Snowdonia is great too. Dylan’s is great for families & excellent food! I would STRONGLY recommend getting holiday insurance at the point of booking & ascertaining their cancellation policy. I found communication with ‘agent’ businesslike. Overall this is a small but perfectly formed comfortable place to stay in a pretty part of North Wales.

ZAUBERHAFT!

Ein wunderbares Cottage in schönster Lage, mit Auto ganz nahe zum nächsten Ort. Bestens ausgestattet, mit viel Gespür für liebevolle Details. Nach 1 Woche wurdem Handtücher und Betwäsche gewechselt und grundgereinigt. Alles wunderbar und unsere Vorstellungen übertreffend. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Very Enjoyable

Had an enjoyable week in a nice cottage in a beautiful part of the country. Nicely furnished and everything provided for self catering. If you like peace and quiet in scenic countryside combined with easy access to local amenities ( Criccieth & Porthmadog ) and fine beaches ( Harlech & Llanbedrog ) then this place is ideal.

Lovely Cottage with interesting plumbing in the kitchen !

Very nice cottage in an unspoiled spot, Well furnished with "style" everthing needed for a short break was available though perhaps the garden furniture and BBQ need upgrading.

Perfect cottage for our family holiday

We loved our stay at Tyn Llech - the cottage was warm and cosy with lovely decor. It was well equipped with everything we needed. It was perfect for our 'excited' children who could run around the garden wildly without disturbing anyone! The area is stunning - from the beaches to the mountains. We did lots of walks in Snowdonia National Park, visited Caernarfon Castle and spent some time in Abersoch. We hope to visit again sometime - thank you!

Comfortable characterful relaxing retreat

We have just spent week here with our 3 children. A lovely setting close to local amenities and wonderful countryside. The Cottage is beautifully restored and decorated, the beds are wonderfully comfortable and the owners have thought of all the details to make it a truly memorable stay. The area has so much to offer and the walking is tremendous. We would definitely return.Many thanks again

Stunning cottage in a beautiful location.

After walking into this beautiful cottage I quickly realised why it had been highly recommended to us. The characteristics of the cottage are breathtaking, the open fire, the soft furnishings, the fully equipped kitchen, just stunning. We spent 3 lovely nights here and will definitely be back. The meal we arranged for our arrival was as promised delivered by Vivien who could not do enough to make our stay special. The meal was fabulous and a great start to our short stay. Thank you for as letting us stay in your beautiful cottage in a stunning location.

Wonderful Tyn llech

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas at Tyn Llech. The cottage was wonderfully warm and comfortable. Our hosts had kindly decorated the cottage and provided a Christmas tree to add to the festive feel. The weather duly obliged with a dusting of snow. The cottage setting was perfect, secluded and quiet, but not isolated. We were provided with all the information we needed before and during our stay, and Viv the housekeeper was brilliant. All in all we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend or stay again. We very much look forward to another visit. Thank you :-)

Beautiful cottage in the North Wales countryside

What a lovely home away from home. Everything was exactly as per the description and of a really high standard. We took advantage of the meal offer on our arrival and it was fabulous. Looked after really well and would definitely go again.

Second time in Tyn Llech

Wir, eine kleine Reisegruppe mit 2 Ehepaaren und 1 Dame, waren nun schon zum 2.Mal in diesem wundervollen Cottage, dass von Vivian hingebungsvoll betreut wird. Jedes Jahr fährt unsere Reisgruppe für eine Woche in ein Ferienhaus. Dazu kommen noch die An- und Abreisetage. Wir lieben auch die Vielfältigkeit von Snowdonia. Dank an die Eigentümerin Tamar. Wir finden dieses Cottage und Snowdonia besser als Cornwall und die Toscana.

charming cottage

It was our first stay at Tyn LLech and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is such a pleasant and charming place,with a wonderful garden and a fantastic view to the Cardigan Bay. The cottage is very comfortable and clean. Vivian is such a wonderful person and doing a great job: weekly fresh flowers, self made marmelade , fresh lobster and more. Thank you Vivian !!! We are happy to choose this cottage for our holidays and we will definitly come back !

We also have a new service of home cooked meals that can be delivered to the cottage either on arrival or on any other day of your choice. Bedding is 100% Egyptian cotton and pure down duvets.
