On the outskirts of the bustling town of Stratford-upon-Avon you can relax in the village of Tiddington. Just 1.2 miles or 2 kilometres from Stratford. It's a pleasurable walk into town or you might be lucky and catch the river taxi.
Tiddington provides tranquillity at the end of a busy day. The village has great amenities including a village pub, grocery shop and several restaurants.
Fernleigh Coach House was built in 1882 but converted in 2012 to the highest standards. It retains exposed beams and walls, enhanced with limestone and oak floors throughout.
There is a light and airy kitchen with hand painted shaker units and French doors opening onto a sunny patio and parterre garden.
The living room has an exposed brick wall and beams with a stable door which opens to let the sun flow in.
The downstairs shower room is tiled in limestone with a double shower.
Stairs lead to the first floor bedroom with double bed and French doors with juliet balcony overlooking the garden.
Outside there is a good sized private patio and parterre garden for you to enjoy al fresco dining.
The detached property is located within the grounds of the owners home, but private and secluded. Access is via a gravelled driveway.
Stratford is only a short drive or walk, but in the village you can relax and enjoy good food and ales at the local village pub (The Crown), Connolly’s Tapas Bar, Mr Chan’s Chinese restaurant or Aladdin’s award winning Indian restaurant. There is also a good sized and well stocked village shop.
There is free parking on-street or pay & display parking available at the village pub. However, there is no dedicated parking on the property.

ONE OF THE BEST!
We found Fernleigh to be one of the best self catering B and Bs we have ever stayed in. A recent full refurbishment of the separate coach house, very tastfully done and modern. Superb kitchen and bathroom. Comfy bed on mezz. Well ventilated for those who like fresh air - we had great weather. Coachouse is at rear of main house and detached from it -very private. Lovely view of it's own partere garden. An easy half hour walk to Stratford. Nice pub a few doors away - no noise though. General store close too as is an artisan bakery. Wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough.
Absolutely superb in every way!!!

Fernleigh Coach House
High quality cottage with everything required, exactly as advertised. Friendly caring hosts, will be highly recommended to our friends & relatives.
Great location for walking or driving into Stratford, accommodation had everything you needed, also very clean and tidy. Good food in the village pub , served a great pint of Guinness. We had a lovely few days, would definitely recommend
The accommodation provided everything we needed for our break. Garden and terrace were lovely, bottle of Prosecco on our arrival was a thoughtful touch.
Host had a wealth of information about the area and ideas of places to visit, this was much appreciated, Karin even sent a draft of information she is compiling to send out to guests.
Village itself has a lot of amenities, local pub and places to eat as well as a large Spar, with very friendly staff.
As stated there is designated parking outside the Coach House, but we managed to get parked on the street every day, even if it was further down the street.
Stratford is only a 30 minute walk away which was fine for us, we did use the water taxi as well, which we really enjoyed, a relaxing way to travel.
Great property, lovely area, we would definitely recommend.
Lovely property within walking diatance of Stratford. Owner gave quick tour and offered advice on places to eat/drink. Celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and were left milk and a bottle of fizz.

Excellent character holiday let.Renovated to a high standard. Owner very pleasant and helpful.
Would happily return another time.No car parking on site .
i am minded to say due to fairly steep staircase and limited space on first floor could be a difficulty for someone with mobility issues.
Communication hosts Karin and Matt excellent booking to stay couldnt do enough for us. Wine and milk much appreciated.
Property excellent 👌 clean everything there we could need. About 25 minute walk into Strarford where there is so much to do.
Excellent pub and shop on the doorstep too.
Highly recommend had a fabulous time away
Karin and Matt were lovely hoists and were there if you wanted to ask anything. You are so near everything. The coach house had all you needed was really clean. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend. We parked outside all week. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
Wir sind immer wieder überrascht, wie die Engländer aus relativ wenig Raum, so etwas Schönes machen, wo man nichts vermiisst, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Danke
Very convenient to get into Stratford. Did manage to find a parking place on the street by the pub.
The gardens are wonderful and the cottage has all the conveniences that you need
This very chic and stylish coach house is in the perfect location to explore Stratford Upon Avon and the surrounding areas. Stratford is about a 30min walk which we did most days. The accommodation was exactly as described. Full marks for style, function and cleanliness. The Spa store just a few doors away is very convenient for picking up essentials for the stay, although our thoughtful host had left us coffee, tea, milk and even a bottle of wine! There is also a pub, and 3 restaurants all within a few steps of the coach house.
Everything was provided to make our stay extremely enjoyable. I can't think of a way that it could have been improved. We highly recommend the Coach House to anyone visiting the area.
My husband and I had a very nice time staying at the carriage house in Tiddington. It was perfect for the two of us and Matt and Karin were very welcoming. It was a short distance to Stratford Upon Avon which we walked to even when it was raining. I would definitely stay there again if we go back.
The property was exactly as advertised and well equipped. It was lovely and cosy, in a great location for Stratford-upon-Avon.
We managed to find parking on side streets the whole time we were there, so that shouldn't put anyone off.
It's hard to imagine a more ideal experience. Karin & Matt have created a guest house with great taste, tender loving care and unmatched attention to detail. It was an absolute pleasure to spend time there. I'd gladly do it again.
The host was helpful when it came to last minute changes of our trip, and was very accomodating. The place was bigger than I expected, came well equipped as well as being clean and warm. There was lots of information available about the local area, things to do and places to eat. Thanks so much for a great stay!

About the host
Hosted by Karin & Matthew Stanley
My husband, Matt and I, love to travel and enjoying staying in beautiful properties around the world. So we wanted to create a special place to stay for those wishing to visit Stratford, the Cotswolds and surrounding area.
Why they chose this property
We love Stratford and the surrounding area. We moved to Stratford some years ago, having found a Victorian villa in need of renovation. The final phase of our renovation, in 2012, was to convert the old stable and outbuildings into a luxury holiday cottage 'Fernleigh Coach House' so that guests could enjoy all the wonders the area has to offer.
What makes this property unique
The Coach House is uniquely situated on the edge of Stratford, letting you enjoy the hustle and bustle of the town whilst providing a welcome escape to relax in the village. Tiddington is a very sought after village due to it's close proximity to the town, its village feel and great amenities.
