Villa Astéri is a unique villa and is totally private, and a very special place, with the most amazing and dramatic views all the way around and down to the sea and the Akamas Peninsular and Blue Lagoon - it will truly take your breath away!

Just a 25 min drive from Paphos, it feels like a different world!

Astéri is a 4/5 bedroom villa which can sleep up to 10 people. (1 en suite bedroom is normally closed off if 8 persons or less)

Although a large villa it is suitable for smaller parties too, and even a couple will find it a wonderful escape with a magical feel all of its own.

Perched above the delightful village of Steni, Astéri enjoys complete privacy and is not overlooked in any way - however it is not isolated at all - being just a minute hop down to the village and the lovely local cafe's there, and then just a few minutes drive to Polis Old Town and Latchi Marina with its contemporary bars and restaurants overlooking the yachts, and miles of great beaches.

Paphos is just a 25 minute drive away, and the airport about 35 mins. Larrnaca airport is a one and a half hour drive.

The property is ranch-style, all on one level, with two bedrooms/bathrooms in one wing, and two/three bedrooms/bathrooms in an opposite wing, with the living areas in the middle. This allows a good degree of privacy for families or if sharing.

Please note - the 5th bedroom and bathroom can be opened up on request for larger parties - ie over eight persons. (extra fee applies, which is calculated when you put in the number of your party when you send an enquiry) Otherwise the property remains as four bedrooms/four bathrooms.

Throw open the patio doors on your first morning, and you will find the intoxicating aroma of jasmine & the truly amazing all around views over the mountains, villages and citrus groves down to the sea quite overwhelming. In the evenings the sunsets over the sea and Akamas Peninsular will truly amaze you - and after dark there is some star show!

Astéri offers luxurious and hugely spacious outdoor living with a wonderful shaded lounge area with sofas seating up to 15 people, a 60" flat screen with NETFLIX, a 10 x 5 meter pool (heated if required additional charge), and a large dining area within a huge wooden pergola, alongside which is a large stone BBQ kitchen.

There is a wonderful outside cocktail bar with fridge and music system - here you can perch on a stool, cocktail in hand, and watch the sun set dramatically over the hills and Akamas Peninsula - just magical!

Inside the villa is cool and luxurious with good quality furnishings and works of art, much more of a home than a holiday house.

There is a 50" tv in the lounge with access to all live UK tv channels plus all Sky channels inc movies and sports channels - all in HD. There is also a huge on-line movie library including many new release films only just hitting the cinemas. (you won't get this in the UK!)

We have good speed unlimited wifi throughout the villa (and works outside too inc the bar).

There is a good 4g mobile phone signal.

There is central heating (extra cost, winter only) and a real fire for the cooler evenings, plus pool heating if required (extra cost).

Astéri really is unique, and one of a kind, with a position and views that are hard, if not impossible, to beat. It is not your average holiday rental at all. It will be our permanent home one day, but in the meantime we are happy to share it with careful guests.

We can organize hire cars for you, which includes a driver to take you (including all luggage) to the villa on arrival which makes for a much more relaxing way to arrive, especially if at night - all this is included in the normal hire cost - a service unique to us as we use our local car hire firm a lot. Your hire car/cars would be waiting for you at the villa. Smashing!

There is no set arrival/departure day, so we are quite flexible. Minimum stay is seven days, and any number of nights over this. Please note this property does not accept younger all same sex groups.

The photos do not do this rental justice it is absolutely beautiful! We have had an amazing time and cant wait to return. The pool is fantastic as is the outside bar the whole property is a great place to chill and relax!! Thank you Graham 😀😀

A beautiful villa

Just returned from a week in Steni. Despite some dramatic thunderstorms we had a lovely time. The outdoor spaces of the villa are particularly nice and larger than it looks on the website. Most mornings and evenings, we made use of the covered area with sofas immediately outside the villa. The bbq area is also great with solar lights and outside speakers. Steni is very small with a couple of ok tavernas. Polis which is a short drive away has a lot more choice for eating and drinking. I would also recommend a trip to the Akamas Peninsula - lots of walking routes with sea view.

Great Holiday Experience

Just returned from a wonderful weeks stay at Villa Asteri. The villa was exactly as described peaceful and relaxing set on top of a hill overlooking the bay of Chrysochou. The views are lovely with the villa looking directly onto some wonderful sunsets. As a family of 6 the space inside and outside the villa is important, with 5 bedrooms this was never an issue. The bedrooms, living area and kitchen area had plenty of room.Outside there is plenty of space to move around with a heated pool and a number of lovely seating areas, all of which have tremendous views of the valley below. There is also a bbq area and a bar. There are some good restaurants in nearby Polis our favourite was the Polis Herb Garden the town also has a large supermarket that stocks almost everthing including some Sainsbury's goods. Steni is a picturesque village with a really good restaurant called the Watermill which is exceptional value for money. The villa is one of the best we have stayed in across the Mediterranean and we will be booking again for next year. Cant wait.

Incredible villa with breathtaking views

We recently had 10 days at the villa, and WOW! As a family of 9, including 4 children, we were a little apprehensive to if the villa would be big enough. We couldn’t have been more wrong, the villa is huge, and layout is amazing. There are so many different areas outside too, and we honestly made use of every single one of them. Big bbq, quirky bar and plenty of seating throughout. The villa was equipped with everything we needed - a home from home! The only thing I would say is that a car is essential!

Family Stay June 2019

We were a family of 10 including two small children and everyone had a fantastic stay in this villa. Everything we could have needed or asked for was provided. We have stayed in many villas over the years but this one was better presented, more comfortable and more thoughtfully set out than any we have stayed at. The inside space was great but the outside space was the real clincher. We spent many hours around the pool and in the comfortable seating area during the day and many hours eating outside at the BBQ or at the table or at the seating area in the evenings. The views from the terrace are fantastic but the evening sunsets have to be seen to be believed. We have at last found our “return to” villa and we will definitely be doing just that soon. Communication with the owner Graham was easy and anything we asked for was provided really promptly. If you want a wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful, comfortable, well presented and well stocked villa, you will not be disappointed if you were to book Villa Asteri. A 5* stay on every level. Thank you Graham- we will be back.

Magical Memories, Magnificent Sunsets.

This was our third consecutive year of booking with the extremely friendly and helpful Graham and Carrie. Asteri was everything (and more) that we could possibly have hoped for. On arrival at night the outside bar was lit up with music playing; inside the villa a thoughtful welcome pack greeted us and a bottle of wine was swiftly opened to start our holiday off! The next morning, we were able to see the absolutely impressive views across to the sea one direction and down to nearby Steni village the other. Amazing panoramic scenery, with the most incredible sunsets each evening - if you are into photography like I am, it is an absolute dream. The garden, pool area, BBQ and bar has so many different 'areas' where you can simply relax, eat and drink and you even have the option of watching the outside TV! There is an abundance of colourful shrubs and flowers too which attract so many butterflies, it is such a pleasure to see. The villa internally is comfortably furnished and truly has that 'homely' feeling. There is nothing we could want for and everything was in excellent working order. Our bedroom had a huge bed and we slept so well each night. We have recommended Asteri to so many friends and family and have already booked again for next year - it was THAT good!

Beautiful remote villa with stunning views

The villa was well equipped and the outside areas were exceptional. Plenty of places to sit and admire the views, especially the stunning sunsets. The outside seating area and screen were perfect for after-dinner movies. There were a few problems during our stay but all handled promptly by the owner.

A great holiday. Villa was perfect for us.

With the layout of the villa split into two wings joined by a large lounge and kitchen dining area made it ideal for two families. We didn’t actually use the inside much, other than to sleep and watch the odd World Cup football game, on a TV with sky and UK terrestrial channels available. The big draw for us was the pool and outside area to catch some sun, or make use of the large covered outside dinning area to be able shelter in the shade. Having access to a car is a necessity to get to the shops and explore the local town of Polis (about 10 mins drive away) as the villa is located just over half way up a hill, with wonderful views of the coast. The Villa isn’t overlooked by any others and you don’t get people just passing by due to its location up the hill. We found a weeks stay here ideal, making use of both restaurants in Polis and the barbecue in the villa. The pool was lovely to dip into, with the shallow end too shallow for an adult to easily swim lengths in, but probably ideal for young children (depending on height). Would make a fun villa with a group of people, would definitely be happy to recommend it for a weeks stay, part of its beauty is that it is a little isolated so if older children would want to “go out” they would need driving.

Lovely villa

Disappointed with a couple of things, 4 poster lounger was just a mattress but photo on website shows loungers. Outside seating not as photo on website. Very uncomfortable seating. Bathrooms very dark which I think is why there are no photos on website. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay in this very spacious villa. Had to chase owner to refund deposit though so wasn’t too happy about that but got there in the end. Directions to villa were spot on and lovely to arrive at dusk to lit up villa with music playing

Villa Asteri great. Villa Aera even more special.

We booked to stay in the Villa Asteri with our family. The day before we were due to arrive Graham emailed to say that there was a problem with the water supply to the villa and the village, but that we could use another villa that he owned, his best, about 20 mins. drive away. We were a little anxious but found the Villa Aera outstanding with spectacular views, high end equipment, huge outdoor space and an immaculate pool. The villa was very private yet not far from local facilities and supermarkets for daily needs. Graham could not have been more helpful throughout and made our holiday very special. All the family had a great time. We would not hesitate to book with him again. Thank you Graham for all your help Kind regards George Harlow

Absolutely amazing

We were a group of college friends celebrating 50 years after graduating. Nowhere could have suited us better. The villa is roomy, well furnished and equipped. The outside space is wonderful with the most spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. We spent all our evenings sitting on the outside sofas chatting and laughing under the starlit sky. A truly memorable holiday. Will definitely return.

Very private villa with sensational views

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this delightful villa, the views were amazing, we ate at the 2 taverns in Steni a few times lovely food and very reasonable prices. Would definitely return. Graham was very helpful when we had any problems (which wasn’t often).

Fantastic villa and great views

When we arrived at around 21:30 it was already dark however the lights were lit in the garden and the house and even the radio was playing. So a warm welcome together with the wine, cheese and cracker which we could order. The villa completely lived up to our expectations. In real it is even better than on the photos. The garden is beautiful and huge and you never get bored with the almost 360 degrees view you have. We were with a party of 4 and though the house is big it is perfectly fit for 2 couples. You have a lot of privacy in the house and outside. No neighbours at all ! The bar in the garden is also much fun. We never stay at home for dinner when we go on holiday in Greece but this time we used the BBQ next to the outside bar (very cosy !) even 5 times in 14 days. We had a few issues with the water supply however either Carrie of Graham always responded promptly and made sure it was fixed a.s.a.p. The whole atmosphere in and around the house is very pleasant so I would definately recommend the villa and we will for sure be back! Last but not least 2 of our favorite restaurants. "Nostos" in Latchi (almost at the end of Latchi on your right hand side). Very friendly host and delicious food. And also Patradaki in Kathika is very very good. It is on the main road. Also very friendly personel and amazingly good food!

A luxury and very private Villa

Had a fantastic week in this Villa (2nd holiday this year) - have done Villas in Cyprus for a good few years now and this is one of the best - everything is accurate as stated on the Website and whilst extremely private is located close to Polis where you can get everything you need and socialise - would recommend without hesitation and would certainly return if available in the future.

Super Villa

If I could give 7 stars I would. We booked this villa for a pre Christmas break to visit our family in the area. The weather could have been a bit kinder, but the villa certainly lived up to expectations, in fact exceeded. We arrived after dark to find the villa lit up, with lights on inside and soft music playing, and a welcome hamper waiting. What a great way to arrive. In the morning we were expecting a good view – what we got was spectacular, beyond words really. We managed a couple of great sunsets too, but the weather let us down the rest of the time, well it was December, which also meant we didn’t use the fab outside bar as much as we would have liked. We had pool heating, which helped a lot. Inside the villa is great, loads of room to spread out and very comfortable, though we found we did need the central heating on for an hour or so on a couple of evenings. The owner was very helpful throughout the booking process. We are now trying to arrange summer dates for a return as we all want to come back and experience this wonderful villa at its best. If you are lucky enough to stay here you certainly won’t regret it.

Wonderful

What a fantastic villa, the location is superb, Steni is an immaculate village. The photos and listing details on Owners Direct accurately represent this amazing villa. It is Totally private with wonderul views, just heavenly. The booking was easy and Graham was very helpful. We used the local car hire company recommended by Graham, great service, we were met at the airport which was handy, we arrived in the dark. The car was older than you would get from the big car hire companies but it got us from A to B. The villa was lit up on the hillside on our arrival it looked magical and certainly impressed. The local manager popped in to see us on our first morning, it was lovely to know someone was on hand, just in case. I would certainly recommend this villa to others and would consider going back. what a great place. The local cafe/restaurant gave a very friendly welcome, good food and was great value for money. There are some lovely restaurants in Polis and Latchi is lovely for a wander. A relaxing holiday!

Fab villa, fantastic views, very peaceful

Impressive villa with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The outside area is fabulous with lovely views. We wanted a peaceful, relaxing week away and the location is perfect for that. The villa is not overlooked at all so it's very private. 10 minutes drive to the nearest town (Polis) where there is a supermarket and plenty places to eat. Within 2-3 minutes drive from the villa is the Water Mill cafe which is good for snacks and drinks and to pass the time of day. The only thing that could be improved is the pool - the bottom of the pool needs to be resurfaced, but despite that we still thoroughly enjoyed our time at Asteri and would highly recommend it. We would book this villa again if we come back to Cyprus.
