We had an amazing stay at this lodge, lodge is beautiful, clean and quality of furniture and fittings were excellent for the price. Excellent lodge
Lovely, spacious lodge with a homely feel. A lot of thought has gone into providing everything a guest could need, and everywhere was super clean. The children loved seeing the red squirrels every day and learning how to top up their food. We also had daily visits from the moorhen and her chicks.

Simply Fantastic
Simply fantastic, thank you for a wonderful stay. Cannot recommend this place enough. The cabin has everything you need and the surrounding area is something else. We never got tired of watching the squirrels feed. The property was spotless and felt welcoming from the second you stepped into the place. It’s situated in an ideal spot to visit the Lakes to the south or Carlisle and Scotland to the North. The kids are desperate to go back and hopefully we will!

Wonderful chalet in the most peaceful of locations
A lovely chalet with every provision you could think of. Super clean. Games, puzzles and Netflix made for lovely evenings after long days walking with young children. They loved the bunk beds! The outside is super special. The back of the chalet leads directly into woodlands and you are visited daily by red squirrels and woodpeckers. The owners thoughtfully left a large stash of nuts so the children could refill the feeders each morning which became a lovely routine. Oh and arriving to a fridge of treats makes for a wonderful start to a holiday! Can’t fault it at all. When a relaxing family break is needed - this has to be the place to do it.

Just as amazing the second time!
Me and my partner came to the lodge in September 2020 as a break away so wanted to book it again when the weather was warmer The lodge was like a home away from home it felt like we had never been away! We spent more time sitting on the deck and watching the world go and watching the sun sets During the day we did go out (buttermere and rydal water) and we had the most amazing weather for it We went to the local pub in Greystoke, The boot and shoe, would definitely recommend and it’s only a 10 minute drive down the road
