Recently modernised villa with pool and great access to a quiet beach. This villa is one of eight unique villas that are situated on the beach front. It has plenty of sun loungers on the terraces, a new swimming pool with optional safety barriers and outside wicker seating/BBQ area. The facilities include a fully equipped and air-conditioned kitchen and air-conditioned bedrooms. Indoor and outdoor dining areas and a well equipped lounge with entertainment area.

First Stay In Hornblower!
Very well equipped, more like a home than a holiday let. The position is not so good now that the beach has apparently washed away, but the sea view is excellent. We would certainly go back again as the two of us were very comfortable. Miguel, the Villa manager is most helpful. Overall, probably the most pleasant Villa we have stayed in.

Great Villa, Great Location
This was an amazing villa right on the sea front. The aircon in the bedrooms was a welcome relief from the heat. I wish the living room also had aircon as it was uncomfortably hot, however the large outside space and pool was where we spent most of our time (bring mosquito repellent for the evenings). The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance and right on the beach. I would have no issues recommending this villa.

Fantastic experience
This is one of the finest properties in beautiful Sant Tomas, perfectly located with breathtaking sea views, especially at sunset. The villa lacks for nothing & with a fantastic pool is the perfect base for a superb holiday. The owner, Alistair, must be congratulated & thanked for this villa. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great Villa with a beautiful sea views.
We were in 8 persons. Villa is spacious and comfortable. The outside space is perfect for family with children. Swimming pool does a great job. The sand beach is 2 min walk form the villa, just in front of the villa there is a pebble beach. The views and the sound of sea is fabolous. We spent a great time here. We got a wines and bread as a start gift from the owner, it was really nice. The maintenance person was very helpful. Thank You!

Fantastic holiday in Santo Tomas
Villa Hornblower is outstanding and by far the best villa we have stayed in. The villa has everything you could wish for and being a stone’s throw from the beach is ideal for families. Santo Tomas is wonderful and we have stayed on numerous occasions.

Fabulous villa and location
Fabulous villa in a very picturesque location. 4 a/c bedrooms, 3 of which are en-suite and 1 with a bathroom next door. Everything you might need was provided. Kids loved the pool which was exceptionally clean and very warm as we caught the tail end of the heat wave in Southern Europe. Villa enjoys direct access to the beach which is rocky, with sand about 50m along from the villa gate where pedalos, paddle boards and kayaks were available to rent. Owner very helpful and provided lots of info about the villa and the local area which helped us plan our week. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Perfect Villa Holiday
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at this villa. We stayed as 2 families of four and the villa itself was superbly equipped. The beach front location is perfect and the restaurants of Santo Tomas are an easy stroll along the promenade. Being able to walk out of the and go for a dip in the sea really was something special. The owner Alistair was very responsive and we would have no hesitancy in recommending the villa to others and we have high standards, We very much hope to return again.

Beautiful, comfortable villa with sea view
This is a return visit to this lovely villa so that speaks for itself! Beautifully equipped villa with everything you could possibly need supplied. Air conditioning in all the bedrooms, clean throughout with ample space. The pool is nice and private and spotless, being attended to regularly throughout the stay. We took a lovely walk along the promenade every morning for coffee and every evening to one of the lovely restaurants. We took a walk to Son Bou this year which was great and had lovely meal when we got there but be warned it is quite a trek with no facilities on route! Overall if you are after a relaxing, beachside family holiday in a well equipped villa, this is for you. Great wifi too to please the teenages! :)

Nice villa in good location
We chose this house because it was so close to the beach. It isn't directly on the sandy part but it is only a few minutes walk. The house itself felt a little dated but there was enough room for the 7 of us and it was very clean. The aircon in the bedrooms was very good and they were all nice and cool. However the rest of the house got very hot on the hottest days. The pool was lovely and a nice temperature with a fabulous outlook. I'm not sure I would be relaxed taking a toddler with the very different up and down levels of the patio. The seating area makes an excellent evening bbq place where we saw some great sunsets. The hotel next door does get a bit noisy, especially on Saturday evenings and Sundays but the rest of the time it is pretty quiet. Santo Thomas is very small and there is not a huge choice of restaurants, but we found we didn't have far to drive to find more. The few shops are very touristy but we were not there to shop. Having said that it is very close to the Mascaro shoe outlet factory which is excellent.

Great villa in wonderful location!
We were travelling as a four generation family from ages 2-79 and every single one of us were gutted to leave the villa! Hornblower is perfect for families, being right on the beach is great and the pool was warm from the sun and our 5 year old literally played in it all day. Rooms are all large, clean and well equipped. Alastair has thought of everything and Miguel was around most days to check the pool and everything else was fine. Es Pins is by far the best restaurant in our opinion and well worth the 10 min stroll along the beach walk. We all loved Hornblower and hope to be back next year!

Absolutely Fabulous!
Hornblower was all we hoped it to be an more. Travelled with family ages ranging from 22 to 83. The property was extremely well equipped with attention to detail and fabulous views. The villa was spotlessly clean on arrival as was the pool. Location brilliant within easy walking distance of a selection of bars and restaurants. The owner was extremely helpful. We hope to visit again - would have loved to have stayed for much longer than a week. We have already recommended Hornblower to our friends.

As my son said"a taste of paradise"
We first stayed in Santo Tomas 34 years ago with two small children. We came back and stayed in a hotel for an anniversary. We came back again with family and grandchildren and stayed in two villas ,two years on the run. Then this year we stayed in Hornblower. A villa virtually on the beach, a pool warmed by the sun all day, a lovely interior with all you require, shade when needed, restaurants in an easy stroll, paradise indeed. The owner was easily contactable and answered all questions. As my grandson said on landing at Gatwick "can we go back tomorrow Grandma".? A sentiment held by us all! Thanks, Alistair

Location Location Location
We stayed at Hornblower House with another family of four this August. The villa was very well equipped with a fabulous Weber barbecue making self-catering a doddle. The villa itself is a great size for two families and well laid out. The pool was a decent size and we were a stone's throw from a clean, sandy beach with warm, crystal clear water - shallow enough for the children to paddle and swim safely. The seafront promenade running from one end of Santo Tomas to the other was a particular delight - especially at night when it was illuminated. Overall, the location was perfect for an easy relaxed holiday with kids.

A perfect beach holiday
A lovely villa situated as close to the beach as you can get. Within easy reach of several shops for food and beverage and plenty of restaurants within walking distance if you don't feel like cooking. Lovely walks along the side of the beach both during the day and evening and the sea is very safe. Overall, for anyone wanting a holiday villa next to a beach this is ideal.

Fabulous beach villa.
A lovely villa, well equipped, clean and beautifully situated on the sandy beach.We enjoyed a relaxing week and spent a lot of the time in the pool or on the beach under the umbrellas that are available for daily hire along with kayaks or pedaloes. Varied food at the local beach restaurant, Es Brucs, well frequented by locals and good choice of nearby supermarkets and cafes--all very friendly. We have been spoilt for future villa holidays....thank you.

HORNBLOWER, JULY 2015
We (two families) stayed at Hornblower in late June/early July 2015. Location is stunning. Right on the promenade/beach but with the patio/pool area sufficiently raised/screened to keep it private, we had a wonderful time alternating between swimming in the pool, running along the promenade, and jumping in the blue sea. There were lots of envious glances from those staying in nearby hotels as the wandered past in the evening. Everything is within walking distance and a handy hotel next door for a quick lunch. Aircon in the bedrooms was a godsend given how hot this summer has been (Menorca, not UK!). Location and views are first class and we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Great villa in superb setting
The villa itself exceeded expectations. It was very well-equipped, especially for families, very clean and pleasantly decorated and furnished. The air con was much appreciated as was the shaded awning outside. However, it is the location of this villa that makes it outstanding - just a few steps to the relatively quiet beach with clear sea and within easy walking distance of a small number of restaurants. The pool was so warm the kids played in it for ours and the resort itself feels very safe. We all felt very relaxed and wished we owned such a fabulous villa! We will definitely return at some point in the future.

Super, relaxing holiday
Stayed in this villa with our grandson, daughter and her partner. We had a lovely holiday in this well equipped, superbly situated property that is well maintained and had nice extra touches like pool toys, board games and DVD's. Our grandson loved the pool and the hop, skip and a jump to the beach! We ate out each evening and had no problem in finding good restaurants within easy walking distance. We did hire a car for the week but hardly used it as we had no real need to leave Santo Tomas. We can highly recommend this property and would love to return in the future.

Great, lasting impressions.
This was our second stay at the Hornblower and once again we had a fabulous stay. If anything the villa was even more geared-up to accommodate us than last year. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and I think I'm right in saying that the air conditioning units have been replaced since our last stay and are super quiet and effective. We mainly ate out at the two places at either end of the front, Es Pins and Es Bruc and neither disappointed. Both venues have friendly waiters that will look after you and share a joke. I would have no reservations in recommending this villa to anyone, especially when the beach and sea are just a hop, skip and a jump away. Enjoy.

Amazing location
This is a fab beachside villa, santo Tomas is a quiet area with some great eateries & beautiful sea views. The mini markets are adequate.The villa was a great size for us, we were 4 adults & 5 children aged between 2-6yrs. There are a number of steps and levels around the outside area, but it was never slippery & the children managed these fine. There is a drop on the side of the pool, but again this didn't cause any problems, although slightly smaller than some pools, it's a great depth for family jumping in & playing. The owners communication & responses has been spot on. Taxi from the airport was under €40. After sun-down listening to the sound of the waves while watching shooting stars on the patio with a G&T, great adult time! We hired a car for one day to visit a water park, well worth it & only €53, with free child seats, from 'owners cars' (walking distance from the villa to their office) it was significantly cheaper than the others locally. For a safe, beach location this villa is perfect, we all had a wonderful week.

This family owned holiday home over the last year has been expanded to include a fourth bedroom and a private swimming pool. Also the villa has been modernised throughout and 2013 is the launch year of the property to the rental market. The project has been managed by family members, Alistair and Nikie, and they manage the rental side of the property.

Nicki is a designer and therefore has had the major influence on the recent modernisation, where Alistair is an accountant so gets the less fun financial aspects.

The property has been in the family since 1977 as a holiday home. During this time the family has made many local friends.
