Delightful villa with own pool and stunning views family and pet friendly

A delightful villa overlooking Cotobro Bay & Marina Del Este, with its own private pool and garage. Tropical plants surround the five terraces where you can barbecue enjoying the sun or shade beneath the avocado tree. The house is separated into two apartments, ideal for families with teenagers or friends. Stunning views from all the windows and balconies make this property a perfect place to create holiday memories. The surrounding area is bursting with activities & sports for all the family.

The house is divided into two separate apartments. Ideal for families with teenagers or friends staying together with their own families. The main part of the house has two bedrooms, one double and one with large twin beds with an ensuite bathroom. The second bathroom has a bath. There is also a double sofa bed. There is seating for ten people at the dining table, a beautiful living area with TV, dvd and wifi with a long balcony across the whole of the front of the house. There are board games for your use. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, oven hob etc The downstairs apartment has its own entrance and one large double bedroom. One bathroom. An open living / dining with kitchen area makes the space very easy to live in. The sofa turns into a large double bed too. Huge windows that open out to beautiful views . There are two large barbeques and many sun loungers and five terraces to relax and sunbathe on. The private pool is perfect to swim in. There is private garage for one car. The house is up high so we would recommend that anyone with walking issues may find it difficult.

Guest access

Our guests can use all the house and grounds, pool and garage. Our property manager Sara will meet you to give you keys and make sure you are happy with all the facilities so that your stay is a memorable experience for you.

Our property manager Sara will be available by email or phone to answer any queries and come to the house when needed as soon as possible.

The neighbourhood

The house sits on the hill overlooking Cotobro bay and is surrounded by stunning planting, beautiful flowers and trees adorn the area. It is truly gorgeous. Cotobro beach is in a secluded bay, with calm protected waters that make it ideal for children. If you are lucky you can watch dolphins swim past at different times of the year.
Almunecar is a wonderful place to base yourself, it offers numerous water sports, hiking, cycling, paragliding. There are many walks close by taking you to breathtaking places. With over 19 kilometres of local coastline you will be at a loss to choose which one of the 25 beaches to choose from. The old town is Medieval in origin with steep winding streets, full of shops bars and lovely places to eat which lead up to the Moorish castle. It is hard to get a drink without a free accompanying tapas. Culturally rich and historically fascinating there are many things to discover .The Costa Tropical is named after its tropical climate so the fruit and vegetables are grown extensively in the area, avocados mangoes and the famous Cherimoyas and papayas are common place.
Granada offers skiing and Motril has a lovely golf course. The drive is an easy one or you can take a bus from the bus station at little expense.
We have tourist information in the house so that you can plan what you might like to do when you stay. There is something for everyone in this beautiful part of Andalusia.

Getting around

We recommend a car which you can put safely in the private garage. There is a bus down the hill to take you into the old town which costs a euro. Taxis are affordable and we can recommend some reliable drivers to you for your stay.
There is also a bus station were you can take day trips to Granada to see the Alhambra palace. Nerja Caves. Sierra Nevada national park and many more places further afield such as Seville Ronda etc.
You can also charter boats to take you around the various bays. Travelling is easy here and not expensive.

Other things to note

We may have to come to the house to clean the pool during your stay and to care for the plants. We will always arrange this with you before we do this as we respect your privacy.

Any arrivals after 9pm will be charged an additional €40, payable on arrival. No arrivals accepted after midnight.

Villa impresionante
La casa es preciosa, muy bien equipada y decorada con muchísimo gusto. La piscina es grande y con diferentes profundidades. las diferentes terrazas son super acogedoras y los sillones comodísimos. Sara y Louis son un encanto y estuvieron super pendientes antes, durante y después de la estancia. La única pega es la ubicación de la casa, depende la idea que tengas de vacaciones, si no te importa andar grandes cuestas o moverte en vehículo es perfecta, si la idea es, como nosotros, ir a la playa y movernos sólo a pie, está un poco apartada.

A wonderful villa for a perfect holiday
A really superb villa; spacious, very well equipped, spectacular views, lovely pool, lots of outside areas for eating and relaxing, clean and well presented. Communication and check in with property manager Sara was excellent and who dealt with all our queries and requests superbly (assisted by Louis). Directions were good although mototway exit has been renumbered to 920, but we found our way ok. Lots of steps up and down provided a good workout although not so good if any mobility issues. No english language live TV so just Netflix or a rather clunky screen sharing from devices arrangement. The separate 'annexe' appartment in listing was not open to us although we didn't need it. We would definately recommend it.

Der Empfang und die Kommunikation mit Sara war 👍Wir können die Positiven Bewertungen nicht nach vollziehen. Das Haus riecht unangenehm, wahrscheinlich sehr viel Feuchtigkeitsschäden. Fast alle Sitzbezüge waren unansehnlich bzw schmutzig. Im Geschirr waren noch Essenreste.Und die Böden vor allem im Bädern waren auch nicht sauber. Dann haben wir Ameisen in der Küche und im Essen gehabt. Und auch in einem Schlafzimmer in den Koffer Kleidung unterm Bett usw.Terassen und Pool waren sehr schön. Aufgrund des unangenehmen Geruches wurden überall Duftspender aufgestellt um den schlechten Geruch zu überdecken.Das Garagentor ist defekt. Die Markisen an der oberen Terrasse lassen sich nicht ausfahren. Fernbedienung defekt.Dann sollten laut Mietvertrag 3 Schlafzimmer, 3 Bäder zu Verfügung stehen und ein Fitnessraum,was auch nicht der Fall war..Die Bilder täuschen doch sehr. Für den Preis nicht akzeptabel.

Had a great family reunion in this lovely part of Spain. Lovely villa, with wonderful views and easy access to the beach, as well as cultural activities. We had a very warm welcome from the villa hosts, they were extremely helpful and gave us great tips. We would definitely return to this villa again. Thank you for a great time!

Hemos pasado unos dias fabulosos en esta maravillosa casa. Los niños adoraron la piscina. Nuestra hija adolescente encantada con el apartamento inferior para ella. Las vistas espectaculares. Y las atenciones de Sara y Louis inmejorables, cualquier pequeña cosa que ha surgido lo han solucionado inmediatamente y con gran profesionalidad. Ya se la hemos recomendado a los amigos.

Fantastic villa with stunning views
We stayed here for 9 nights in August and would happily have stayed a lot longer! The villa is lovely - roomy, comfortable and really well equipped. The pool and surrounding area is perfect and the views are to die for. Sara and Louis were super helpful and welcoming and gave us lots of tips on where to go and what to do. The beaches in the area are lovely. The local one at Cotobro Bay is a short walk downhill but a bit more of a trek back up ! Almuñécar old town is easy to reach by bus from the bay and by car but parking can be a bit tricky in town. There are lots of great restaurants and bars in town. La Herradura is also worth a visit. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend.

Really fabulous property with plenty of space for everyone.
Beautiful villa in a beautiful location (very hilly and 200+ steps to villa from beach after a hill climb so not for the faint hearted - although taxis cheap and easy to find to get you home and up the hill after a lovely meal out in the evening). Sara the property manager is also a fantastic bonus as she looked after us above and beyond the necessary. Cannot recommend enough!

Wonderful villa
We had a wonderful holiday, 5 adults and 3 toddlers in our party. The villa was very clean and tidy with a very well equipped kitchen, like home from home. Plenty of entertainment, TV, DVD player with a variety of DVD's, books, boxed games or cards. Also Wifi is available at the villa. Brilliant views. So much space at the villa, you could relax in so many different places finding shade or sun. The pool was a great place to relax and big enough for all. As advised it is on a hill so a car is a necessity. The property has a spacious single garage. The agents were very friendly, informative and helpful. We thoroughly recommend this villa for family holidays

We are Swedish friends with teenage children who are delighted to offer our holiday home to Owners Direct guests.
As a family we all enjoy the outdoor life and Andalusia is rich in places to hike and cycle. There are many activities such as scuba diving, jet skiing, sailing and tennis close by. The location is perfect to go Skiing in the Sierra Nevada and to play Golf in Motril. The airports of Malaga and Granada are just over an hour away so it is an easy journey to get here. There are interesting historical sites and many cultural activities through out the year to experience. Music is an important part of life here with traditional festivals throughout the year. Semana Santa ( Easter week) is incredible. The food is fresh and delicious with free tapas to be enjoyed at the many bars and restaurants. There is always something to excite the mind and spirit. We will leave information in the house for your stay so that you can decide weather you want to be active or just relax and enjoy the space and peace and quiet that the house has to offer. Our property Manager Sara will meet and greet you when you arrive to make sure you are happy. We hope you enjoy our house as much as we all do. Thank you, El cuatro olivos.

We fell in love with the house because of its breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding tropical location and of course the swimming pool. As the house has two separate apartments the children can use the downstairs accomodation and have their own space , while the four adults can have fun in the main part of the house.
