Charming 3 Bedroom 18th Century Cottage with full fibre broadband / wifi
Hambledon is a beautiful, quaint and much photographed 18th Century Cottage at the heart of the beautiful coastal village of Cley-Next-The-Sea. Tastefully decorated with Farrow & Ball paints and furnished with "And so to Bed" Brass Beds with superb mattresses and with a Fired Earth Slipper bath the cottage has exposed beams, an enclosed courtyard and log burning stove. If you want a traditional cosy cottage yet with modern plumbing and all creature comforts then this will be your ideal Norfolk Coastal 'Home from Home'. Cley-Next-The-Sea is an ideal base for exploring the North Norfolk Heritage Coast on foot, by bike or by car. Only minutes from the sea and a short drive to Blakeney for visiting the seals on Blakeney Point or the Georgian Town of Holt with many interesting 'one of a kind' shops. Cley is also home to Norfolk Wildlife Trust's oldest and best known nature reserve which is readily accessible within three minutes walk of the cottage. A must for keen bird watchers.
The George Inn is less than 100 metres away on foot and is a very friendly local with great food and drink [under going refurbishment and due to re-open in September 2020]. Even nearer is the fabulous exquisite delicatessen "Picnic Fayre' plus the Smoked Fish shop, a new artisan bakery [Pastonacre] and also "Made in Cley" Pottery. Artemis Coffee Cafe is one minute away by foot. A short walk away on the green is the 'Three Swallows' Public House and a few minutes further [again on foot] you will find The Wiveton Bell a beautiful pub with delicious home cooked fare.

Attractive ,quirky and well equipped cottage in a good location for walking and bird watching.
Everything at the accommodation was as advertised and it was well equipped. In the village there was a smokery and a
Deli for all your daily needs, a most enjoyable place to stay.

We had a lovely stay at Hambledon cottage. We were greeted with a welcome pack from “Picnic Fayre” which was very much appreciated. The cottage is located in the heart of the village with lovely walks to the beach. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable - a great home from home and the dogs had a great time too !

Perfect location
We had a brilliant holiday. Cottage is well situated in a village close to all the major attractions of the area. The coastal walk to Blakeney is a must, as is a visit to the local smokery and deli. The cottage is very well equipped, warm, quirky and very comfortable and the welcome box and the general cleanliness were excellent. Parking is also no problem. All round a great holiday.

Comfortable and welcoming
Had a super week at Hambledon for Christmas. Cottage was really warm and comfortable. Lots of lovely touches like the Christmas tree and welcome hamper made our stay really special. Will definitely return. Thank you.
The cottage is very quaint and completely comfortable. Extremely well stocked there was everything there that we needed. The area is beautiful and all the local shops, cafe and George and Dragon are great, we very much enjoyed lots of delicious food! The people were all very welcoming. You could have a lovely holiday without leaving Cley but if you want to explore further afield the location was perfect to travel by car or bus to lots of lovely locations. Communication with the owner was brilliant too, he was very helpful.

New visitors to Norfolk
We enjoyed our first trip to Norfolk so much. Hambledon is a quaint cottage in a quiet village setting. All mod cons are there and it is an ideal base to explore the beautiful coast and it's wildlife. The village deli is very handy for picnics-we recommend the lavender bread. Cley beach is enormous and quiet even in the height of the holiday season. This is where we saw seals bobbing near the waters edge. Crabbing and fish and chips at Wells next the Sea was popular with the children as was rockpooling, fossiling and swimming at West Runton. Had a great meal at The Anchor Inn Holt enjoyed Cromer Crab from The Smokehouse,Cley. All in all a comfortable holiday home in a perfect, peaceful spot for discovering Norfolk.
When we arrived we were delighted with the old fashioned cottage and its little quirks. The location was perfect as it waa close to everything and everywhere we wanted to visit. The bedding was good quality and clean, the beds were very comfortable, we all slept well! The welcome card and flowers was a lovely touch and a little later a welcome hamper was delivered which was a nice touch. Our only criticism was the extensive collection of cobwebs which the cleaner had left and being a dog friendly cottage meant when we went to use the hoover one evening it made the whole downstairs smell of dog but i decided that the moral of the story was not to do housework on holiday! Overall we had a lovely stay and im sure we will be staying in Hambledon again.
We stayed for a week in Cley, We had some initial problems such as the initial cleanliness of the house but when we communicated this with Anthony he promply got in new cleaners and the house was so much better. There was an issue with th electrics but again Anthony arranged for an electrician to come out on the Sunday and all was sorted, which we really appreciated.. The house was well equipped and quite spacious for an 18thC cottage. We took my mother in law who struggles with her walking and the access to upstairs was difficult for her as was the main bathroom, there was one staircase that none of used because it was too steep and open tred. If you have any mobility issues contact Anthony first to check. In all we had a nice week and loved the area.
Cottage in a great location and had everything you need.
Cottage in a great location and had everything you need. Stayed in the cottage with 6 adults and a dog and there was plenty of space. Cottage is looking a little tired, living room furniture due for replacing and a modern TV is required. Although kitchen & bathrooms were clean, there was a big build up of dust on skirting boards, carpets, fireplace etc which caused an issue with a member of the family who is an asthma sufferer.

Cosy old fashioned cottage in nice village but not much natural light and road outside busy during day
Owner very helpful when booking . Cottage quaint and in perfect location in the village. Lovely quality bedding and towels and very comfy beds. Small court yard perfect for alfresco dining. Had a great time , definitely a great overall experience
A wonderful week spent in this beautiful house with family. Extremely well equipped with everything we needed provided. Within walking distance of excellent restaurants and the delightful delicatessen and smoke house. Fabulous walks straight from the door to the beach. Hope to return.
Lovely stay in gorgeous part of Norfolk. Good quality furnishings etc. Lovely powerful shower. Cute cottage. A few things need fixing like locks on doors, no bulb in one of twin bedrooms.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was very well located for exploring North Norfolk. It was very clean and tidy on our arrival and the welcome box of food and wine, etc was very thoughtful. The beds were comfortable and we both really relaxed while we were here.
Unfortunately we had to leave the property after only 5 days as my partner had a bad asthma reaction. I had omitted to check that the property had allowed dogs which brought on her attack. However this was not due to any oversight by the owners nor the property description
