This bright, well decorated and airy modern home is a super base for walks to explore the pretty village of Dalkey a gourmet and literary Mecca,and home to film stars, artists, famous writers and members of U2. In fact Bono has often been seen taking a stroll through the village or having a pint in Finnegans! Just 10 minutes walk brings you to the pretty Sandycove beach, the Forty Foot bathing area and the James Joyce Tower. Don’t forget to stop in at Bullock Harbour where you can buy fresh lobsters and rent a boat there or at Coliemore Harbour, Dalkey and take a trip out to Dalkey Island. At certain times of the year you will be sure to see some seals around Bullock Harbour and off Dun Laoghaire piers.

Sharon's home was very clean and comfortable with convenient off street parking. She had kindly left us supplies in the fridge to get started.
We had a very pleasant stay!
This rental is in a great spot just outside of Dublin right by the train station. It was very clean and we had no issues. Would love to stay there again!
Very beautiful home that was easy to get to and a good place to relax after a day in Dublin. Very close to the Dart station to get to Downtown Dublin quickly and close to other small towns via the Dart train.
We enjoyed our stay away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin. This 3 bedroom house has plenty of space to relax in the quiet sunroom and/or garden. Convenient to several grocery stores and a short walk to the train. Our group loved the large kitchen and dining table, the pantry was stocked with many supplies for cooking. A pub down the street was friendly and welcoming. Thank you to Sharon for opening her home to visitors. We hope to return next year.
Extremely beautiful home will all necessary facilities at a great location close to train station on DART line and Dalkey. Communication was incredible that made the checkin and checkout process smooth and easy.
This was the perfect stay in Dalkey for our group. The house was very large and provided us everything we needed! The check in process was incredibly easy. There is a grocery store just down the road and plenty of taxis to make getting around a breeze. Everything about the stay was 5/5 and we would definitely come back
We had a fantastic time experiencing Dun Laoghaire for the Ironman...this home was incredible and comfortable ! Beautiful home with a wonderful backyard, close walking distance to shops and restaurants and train. We will be back !
We were competing in the DLVR and needed a crew house. The house was amazing. Fantastic facilities and very comfortable and much larger than expected.

Perfect for a family stay!
The house was exactly what we expected. The owner was so great and accommodating, patient with all our questions, and even had a few groceries waiting for us! Being so close to the DART station was perfect. The little pink binder had everything we needed. Thank you so much!

I have lived in Glenageary / Sandycove for the last 20 years and work in my own business. Originally from the seaside town of Bray just further along the coast I actually attended the private girls school almost across from this property, little did I know I would live so close one day!
Why they chose this property
I just love the accessibility the property affords to both the city centre and quaint and picturesque Dalkey. The proximity to restaurants, leisure facilities and even simple walks along the sea make it the best location in the world!
What makes this property unique
This modern family home is private behind an electronic gate. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, pantry, dining room, living room, conservatory, utility room, large entertainment room, gardens front and rear and sunny patio. It is ideally situated for walking to the beach, several villages and a main town, has spectacular views over the whole of Dublin Bay and is extremely well equipped to a very high standard. It a stones throw to a convenience store which is open until 10pm and there are two takeaways across the road also – ideal if you don’t feel like cooking on holidays! As it’s a family home it has everything you could need to make your vacation just perfect. It is worth noting that it is a "working home" however I rent it as I am away a lot for business. Therefore there are some personal items in two of the 4 bedrooms. The kitchen has some storage cupboard food items which guests can avail of during your stay.
